Five years ago and 36 weeks into her pregnancy, Briar Harvey said she went into the hospital expecting to come home with a baby, but instead she came home with nothing. Due to complications, her baby didn't make it. Coming out of that trauma, Briar is now the Founder and Host of A Story for Another Time, a narrative style memoir about her life. She is also the co-host of Latchkey Movies, the podcast where she takes a critical look at the movies your kids are watching without your supervision. June 13, 2018. Personal reflection, no profound quotes today. Just my truth.
A lot of thinking happens when you're behind the wheel.
Sparing the details. This is the day that I woke up. I wiped the tears from my eyes and I snapped this shot to mark exactly this. I wanted... NO, I needed to remember this. Yeh, shit was that bad for me before.
I realized my failures were actually strengths. How selfish I had been. How much my parents, who were in that car ahead of me, loved me. The pain and suffering that I was causing myself was also affecting the people around me.
It has gotten a little easier, but I struggle still. Though, there is a higher level of understanding that allows me to accept what is and #persevere .
I didn't just raise my standards on this day. They skyrocketed. The self pity stopped. I owned up to my decisions. Everything I had done, all the mistakes I had made, suddenly had a new value. I have no idea what the future holds for me, it's frighteningly uncertain, albeit exciting.
A few months later I joined my high school friend and now business partner @dj_versatyle at Ryse Brand, LLC, with a shared mission to positively #impact people.
I share this with you so that you know why I #Ryse . It's because I've lived. I've experienced. I've learned. Most importantly, I've changed.
We're not just selling tshirts here. What we do is truly inspired by life. Everything we share, we believe in to the core. The purpose of what we make is to serve as a reminder for everyone. To remind you that change can happen within your mind, body and soul. To keep you moving forward.
There's nothing I love more than making an impact.🙏🏼
Whether it's my team at a quarterly meeting, an event, or during one of my live classes with my students from around the world.
Nothing brings more joy to my life than people like you.
Thank you for reading my posts.
Thank you for taking action and being committed to becoming a better version of yourself.
And thank you for never giving up on yourself - no matter how dark things get for you.
You are the reason why I do what I do.
Money has only taken me so far.
Yes, it gave me a comfortable life. But it didn't give me a completely fulfilled life alone.
That's why I turn to sharing my experience with people like you.
So maybe if just ONE thing that I say or share can impact you, I've done my job and I can go to sleep a happy man knowing I've helped a single person.
One of the best ways I help people is through the new & free on-demand training, where I show them a NEW high income skill that very few know about.
If you haven't checked that out yet go to the link in my bio and watch that.
It's the fastest way for me to impact you.
Now, I’m curious to know…
When you've made all the money you want, who are you going to help? Let me know in the comments below.
Lame people blame people…
If you always blame others for your own misfortune, how could you possibly change the situation you’re in to make it better?
What are some of the things you hear people blaming other people for? Comment below.
Yes, this is actually me... believe it or not.
This was long before I found a good barber or had any sense of style (thank you to my wife Jennie for showing me how to be more fashionable).
This photo was taken at Toastmasters… a time when nobody believed in me.
People told me that I was too young. They told me that I should just get a job and give up on my dreams.
But I just couldn't.
You know what I mean?
Maybe you feel it too.
Maybe you feel a fire inside you that you're meant for more than what you're doing right now.
Maybe you know you're different and what you're doing right now is not serving your purpose and not why you were put on this earth.
Or maybe you're just sick of the way things are going and want a change for the better.
Whatever the case, I believe in you and I believe you will be able to get to where you want to be in life - whatever that looks like.
I believe you can achieve anything you put your mind to no matter what other people say.
If you want to know the one thing I did to shut the mouths of all the haters and earn up to 10K in my early twenties as a shy introverted immigrant, click the link in my bio and I’ll show you.
I'm curious to hear from you. What is something someone has said to you to try to tear you down?
Maybe they said, "you're too young" or "get a real job" or "you don't have a degree"...
Comment below and share what those people said to try to hold you back.
Too many times I see people scrambling to get ahead, but they don't see the real issue.
Why are they scrambling in the first place?
Because they failed to plan.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Which is why you should be making time to think, plan, and organize yourself every day.
If you don't, you'll always be stuck in the rat race.
The reason I can be so present and in the moment with my team on filming days, and not worrying about a million things I didn't get done on time...is because I plan.
It's not rocket science, but you must keep in mind that this is on you to make it a practice.
But here's how to get out of the rat race…
Put a recurring time on your calendar every day and make sure it notifies you.
Label it "I will plan to win."
This locks it into your mind, both as an affirmation and a commitment.
Get a notebook just for planning, and open this up during your scheduled time every day and plan out what you need to do.
Lay it all out.
You can transfer it to whatever tools or apps you use...but get it all out of your head first.
Now watch as confusion turns to clarity.
What do you do to plan your upcoming day, week, month, or even activity? Comment below.
Most people struggle financially, barely making enough to get by with their job.
A job will pay you money in exchange for time, and that’s okay for some people.
However, with skills, you get paid for the value you bring to the marketplace.
For example, instead of getting paid per hour… with skills you are trading the result for money. You get paid based on the value you bring to others.
In other words, YOU are in control of your own income.
Without what I call a high-income skill, you can not bring much value to others.
And because you can’t bring enough value you can’t earn enough money to hit your financial goals and become financially confident.
In case you don’t already know, a high-income skill is any skill that you can learn that will help you make at least $10,000 a month without needing a college degree or previous experience.
Now, if you want me to teach you how to live ‘the half-hour work day’ with this NEW high income skill, click the link in my bio and sign up for my free on-demand training.

A lot of people think you need to quit your job to be successful or to make good money.
That's not true.
You see, it's possible to create a side-income while still in a job. You just have to make sacrifices so you can start living the life of your dreams.
And if you don't make sacrifices for your dreams, then your dream becomes the sacrifice.
And most people will never be fully happy with where they are in life if they don't achieve their dreams.
And that's ok. Not everyone is cut out to be successful or live a good life.
But if you're reading this right now, you're probably different than most people... smarter... better... more hungry.
That's why you read my posts.
That's why you watch entrepreneurial videos on YouTube and have a different mindset than most people.
So you have to take different action than most people.
What I tell my students is this, "Don't quit your job yet. You need the steady income. Hustle after work, then you could quit your job once you're making twice as much income as your job."
So where do you start if you want to make a good income outside your job?
I suggest you go to the link in my bio and read that page.
It will give you all the details on my free on-demand training where I give you my best secrets so you can quit your job as fast as possible and remove any ceiling you have on your earning potential without working harder or longer.
