Minggu kedua Adven memiliki arti sebagai KESETIAAN dan CINTA. Pada minggu kedua ini lilin ungu kedua dinyalakan, mengingatkan kita untuk tetap setia mempersiapkan jalan bagi kedatangan Tuhan. Kita diwajibkan menyiapkan hati dan cinta demi menyambut kedatangan Kristus.
Let’s talk about fats for a second here. 🥑🥥🍳🍟🥜🥛🍿 So fats have been demonized in the past saying that eating fats would make you fat. We all know now that is wrong and quite the opposite, eating (healthy) fats can help you lose weight. Not only that, they are essential for your body for proper hormonal and nerve function along with helping reduce LDL levels and triglyceride levels which then in turn lowers your risk for heart disease and stroke. 😲 Wow!! So how do we know we’re getting these amazingly good fats?? There’s different kinds of fats: trans, saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated.
Steer clear of trans fats, think anything deep fried, processed, and that has long shelf life. They have 0 benefits to us and actually increase LDL levels and increase your risk for heart disease and stroke.
Saturated fats are ok, but should be limited. They’re kind of an inbetween of trans and unsaturated fats. Think butter, cheese, whole milk, egg yolks, and red meat.
Polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are where it’s at!! These are the healthy fats that drive down LDL levels and prevent heart disease and stroke. They’re the ones that are essential for nerve and hormone function. Think nuts, olive oil, avocado, omega-3’s from fish, vegetable oil, chia seeds, flax, sunflower oil, and even high-oleic safflower oil 👈🏼 which has been replacing a lot of trans fats in processed foods. So bravo!
Your diet must consist of at least 10% of your calories coming from (healthy) fats, but recommended 20-35%. I make sure my clients’ fats never fall below 20%. This is why I added that little disclaimer to the FAQS part of the swapping fats for carbs question, you must make sure you are still meeting that minimum requirement!

If you don’t like something or someone, try to find one or two good things about it or them. The more you complain about it, the more of it you’re inviting. By finding something good about it, you’re minimizing the bad and maximizing the good.
The more you maximize the good, the more of it you’ll attract. Call it reverse psychology to attract more of the things you want and enjoy.
