Lots of sketchy stuff! I did unfortunately throw off the proportion of the head because of the strange angle. I think her chin should have been about where the bottom of the mouth is and should have shortened the nose just a bit but it’s #finishednotperfect . #denverartist#sketchbookdrawing

My parents lived in Oakland, CA in the 60s. I love the old photographs they took from that era. This illustration is my dad standing on the shore of Lake Merritt, with the Alameda County courthouse in the background. I went to Google Earth to see where he was standing, and I found it! It’s a little spot called Pine Knoll Park, and if you swipe to the second picture, I screenshotted just where he was. The view hasn’t changed much in 50 years! So cool!
What in you life moves you? I need to exercise most days, a good song, movie or book moves me emotionally and curiosity for learning and growing moves me forward in life.
My art is currently showing @mmm_paleo 910 Sante Fe, Denver. #denverartists#denverart#artdenver#denverarts
Mangos are ever-present in the Philippines, where my family is from, so I wanted to stitch up this beautiful and delicious fruit! I’ve been experimenting with chainstitch gradients and adding more depth to color selections, and this little guy was a fun way to practice.
"Children know something that most people have forgotten." _____ "When it is working, you completely go into another place, you're tapping into things that are totally universal, completely beyond your ego and your own self. Lumonics is a performance space, gallery, sculpture studio, and school based in Denver. It is one of the earliest and longest-running light art studios in the US, beginning in 1967.
Lumonics was honored to be one of ten Denver recipients of the #MeowWolf DIY Grant in 2019, used to further the Lumonics School of Light Art. Instructor Marc Billard, co-director of Lumonics, passes on knowledge to the next generation of light artists and anyone wanting to stimulate his/her creativity. 1-session and 4-session classes begin every Saturday.
Vocational education classes are also offered.

✨7 of Feathers-Power✨ Two male bison charge at each other. The very air seems charged with energy. The confrontation is not about hostility or conquest—the two bison are equal, and both seem eager for the battle. The goal is not to harm or even conquer, but to know your own power⚡️
Jessica Magee, artist from Denver, was the first artist I met when I launched my business in late 2018. She hopped on a plane and flew to Atlanta to join me at my opening show. It was so fun to have Jessica there and I love that she got to meet some of the collectors who now have her work hanging in their homes.
Jessica created the most fun "Rings" series in various colors - there are still a few more left! She also recently added some new "Minis" to the gallery...and you gotta see her pet portraits! Click the link in bio to see available work, and be on the lookout for new pieces coming soon! @jennermcginnstudio
What do apples, berries and an old jug have in common? They all came together to create a beautiful masterpiece. This is one of my favorite paintings I’ve completed to date. I love the colors, the format and the textures and layers of paint used to create the old jug. ❤️❤️❤️ Today is the final chance to get this masterpiece on sale for 60% OFF + FREE shipping and framing. You can even make payments to reserve this piece at the sale price. ❤️❤️❤️ I believe original masterful art isn’t just for the 1%, but for everyone to enjoy. Sale ends in 12 hours!
'Stillness' naturally dyed textile art by @g.g.roslie in 'honoring the feminine' series inspired in part by one of the beautiful qualities J. Ruth Gendler writes about in The Book of Qualities ~ available @slocurio & online at slocurio. com ~ we'll be back open all weekend if you'd like to come in for a visit! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Stillness will meet you for tea or a walk by the ocean. You must be gentle when you approach her. She is more sensitive than we can even imagine and she does not explain herself much. Sometimes I bring her flowers - not because she needs them (she tends several gardens) - but because I am better able to meet her when I’m carrying flowers. Her favorite time is dawn. ~J. Ruth Gendler
