I am SO excited that in January I will be releasing my first ever SOLO eBook! I have been a Consultant author and a co-author, but this is the first time I will be writing and publishing something on my own!
I have worked as a Specialist Weight Management Dietitian for years in the NHS and private practice. I have learnt an incredible amount from working with this amazing patient group, as to what constitutes successful weight management and also what doesn’t work, and I have wanted to share my learnings for so long as I truly believe it could help so many people. We love seeing our research in action! Last month our #NRAUSnerds team including CEO Dr Flavia Fayet-Moore, Tim Cassettari and Dr Michelle Blumfield attended and presented about all things vitamin D to GP’s at the General Practice Conference & Exhibition in Melbourne.
When it comes to vitamin D, two sources are best! In addition to sun exposure or supplements, let’s not forget food.
We armed GP’s with everything they need to know to address vitamin D deficiency in Australia, covering the basics of Vitamin D, its health effects, how much sun exposure you actually need, and the role of diet and lifestyle when helping patients to improve their vitamin D status.
Lifestyle medicine is so important to us that we even incorporated it as part of the session. During the presentation, we took breaks to stand and stretch, to take deep long breaths, and to connect with someone in the room.

Who says that dietitians only talk about food ...Well today we are putting food talk aside and discussing Sleep!
With the holiday season fast approaching it’s easy to cut down on sleep now that you find yourself being busier than usual.
So we thought now would be the best time to remind you why you should be prioritizing getting 7-8 hours of shut eye a night!
Rest and Recovery: Sleep is our bodies time for growth and repair and rejuvenation.
Brain Function: Sleep it vital for proper cognitive function. It helps with laying down memories, forming new neural pathways, attention, concentration and productivity.
Appetite:
Sleep is important for metabolic and hormonal regulation with inadequate sleep interfering with our appetite control hormones (ghrelin and leptin), which can lead to increased feelings of hunger.
Mental Health:
Sleep can influence our mood, emotional control, optimism, sociability and stress levels, all factors which can influence our ability to cope with certain situations.

Christmas is truly my favorite time of year but lets real, it can be hard to enjoy! Christmas shopping. Family and work parties. Wrapping up end of year projects at work. Kids school activities. Baking and cooking. This time of year the normal weekly responsibilities seem to triple leaving us feeling there isn’t much left to give. 😕 😴 .

Self care can mean many things to different people. It could be taking a walk. Taking 20 min to read your favorite book. Talking to a close friend. Getting up early for some quiet time before work. Self care isn’t always spending money buying things when “things” aren’t what you really need! .

Set timer for bedtime. Prep a couple meals for the weak. Make some time for movement. Watch a movie with your significant other or kids. Take time to prioritize what makes you feel your best when stressed or stretched thin to find more joy and less stress during the holidays. 🎄 .

During the holidays 🎄 we often times change up our normal meal/snack pattern because we don’t have as much “structure” to our day. And that’s OK! That’s part of the fun.

However, we encourage our clients to still focus on eating a meal or snack every 3-4 hours to avoid getting overly hungry (a 1-2 on the hunger scale) 😬which can result in either a binge, or overeating at dinner. Snacking is the key to your success this holiday season!

If I had a PB&J for every time I’ve read, “Did you know, the average person gains X amount of weight over the holiday season?”…I’d have [dare I say it] too many PB&J’s. 😯

But tbh, I couldn’t be more uninterested in that [probably incorrect] fact. What I AM interested in, though, is the fact that many people will read that message and end up feeling more fearful towards food + ashamed of their bodies because of it. It’s not an inspirational message, it’s a harmful one.

Not to mention these feelings will very likely lead to a more stressful holiday season AND the continued cycle of new diet ➡️ diets doesn’t work ➡️ feel like a failure ➡️ new diet, etc. 👎

You may have caught in my stories that I traveled last weekend through three different airports ✈️ for a little mini retreat. Let me tell you, you only have to spend 5 minutes in an airport bathroom to know that travel messes with our guts. Think about what your tendency is when you travel:
More constipated? More diarrhea? Some people with IBS actually tell me they have an improvement in their symptoms when traveling. That tells us a lot! Here’s a few simple tips to get you ready for upcoming holiday travel: . * If you have IBS and you’re better on vacation consider the importance of stress management and parasympathetic exercises daily! . * If you tend towards diarrhea, limit caffeine, and try to keep your same breakfast that you have at home. Routine is key to regularity, so keeping your schedule as consistent as possible can help. . * If you get more constipated with travel, make sure you are focusing on getting enough water, bring a box of smooth move tea (you can get it on Amazon), and try to get exercise in daily. .
I know what you are thinking: Why is my discussion about travel poop habits on a delicious picture of @umamiramen ramen 🍜? This meal was was one of my attempts to bring in hydration, veggies, and fermented foods to keep my gut healthy on my trip, plus it was delicious and too good not to share. .

🍋Nutrition, the food may be full of color, but the methods are mostly gray. ⠀

🍊The nutrition field is a really fun field to be in and also an incredibly convoluted one. There are a lot of opinions, a good deal (not enough) of research, and a ton of anecdotes. ⠀
⠀
🧐There are camps of nutrition believers. We have our macro enthusiasts, our health at every size advocates, our hormone specialists, our weight management workers, our intuitive eater teachers and so much more.⠀
⠀
🤷🏻♀️The thing is that every single one of them wants the same thing for their clients, which is to achieve health and harmony with their nutrition.They all have their benefits but they all also have their flaws. If we stick to one fo these, we end up making nutrition black or white. ⠀
⠀
🤨The problem with them all is that they do not all work for everyone or they don't work for everyone all the time. Everyone is different and thus they need different components of each. Instead, maybe someone needs some work on their body image while also tracking their food intake. Maybe some one needs to learn to intuitively eat while also manage their weight for health reasons.⠀

💁🏻♀️There's no sexy solution to long-term health and nutrition, just a big ol' gray area that I'm here to dig through with you and hopefully make some sense out of for you, whatever season you may be in. ⠀

My grandma used to make a traditional Russian dish - tomato, capsicum, red onion braised in vinegar & some sugar 🤤 a delish accompaniment to a dinner or a tasty snack. We’ve been making it at home recently.⠀

I used it to make Russian style baked-eggs...in a pan 🤘🏽 And it was DELISH & quick 🍳⠀
• HOW⠀
- heat veggie-braise in a small pan & make a well in the middle to crack egg in 🥚⠀
- cover with lid on low-med heat & allow 5-10mins for egg white to cook through⠀
- serve with toast - 1/2 butter 1/2 avo here^ (& some leftover broccoli pictured)⠀
- also delish with a sprinkle of Parmesan on top! 👌🏽⠀

A healthy brain, just like our other organs, requires complex carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and water to function well. Neurotransmitters are brain chemicals that transmit information throughout the brain and the body; they play an important role in us feeling content or anxious as well as in our memory and mental functions.
Some foods such as chocolate, tea, coffee and alcohol can temporarily make us feel better by promoting neurotransmitters we are lacking, but can also make us feel like we need them to feel good by decreasing the brain sensitivity to its own neurotransmitters. A healthy diet enables us to produce all neurotransmitters needed to maintain healthy patterns of brain activity.

Fibre helps to keep our stools soft by absorbing water throughout our gut.

This assists with preventing constipation and keeping our bowel movements regular.
.
So, high fibre foods help improve constipation by holding liquid in the stools and keeping them soft.
.
It also helps to keep us fuller for longer and supports keeping our gut microbiome happy and healthy.
.
In Australia, it is currently recommended we consume;
👉14-22g per day for children.
👉 25g per day for women.
👉 30g per day for men.
.
However, despite all the benefits of adequate fibre intakes, most Australians currently do not consume enough fibre.
.
My top 11 expert tips for increasing your fibre intake are; 🍎🥬🌽🥜🍞
.
1. Include at least 1-1.5 cups of vegetables with your lunch.
.
2. Include at least 1.5-2 cups of vegetables with your dinner.
.
3. Include vegetables as snacks.
.
4. Choose wholegrain and/or high fibre breads, cereals, pastas and rice instead of refined or white versions of these foods.
.
5. Eat at least 2 pieces of fruit each day.
.
6. Use fruit for snacks and desserts.
.
7. Add fruit to your breakfast cereal, smoothies or yoghurt.
.
8. Keep edible skins on your fruit and vegetables.
.
9. Try having a small handful of nuts or seeds as snacks.
.
10. Add legumes such as beans or lentils to your meals.
.
11. Add high fibre foods slowly to your diet to avoid getting symptoms such as wind, bloating, cramps and diarrhoea.

Συμβουλές για υγιές βάρος και ισορροπημένη διατροφή μέχρι τα Χριστούγεννα. Η αντίστροφη μέτρηση για τις γιορτές έχει ξεκινήσει και τα καλά νέα είναι πως δε χρειάζεσαι εξαντλητικές και trendy δίαιτες, αλλά μερικές διατροφικές συνήθειες που θα συμβάλλουν στο να αισθάνεσαι υγιής και όμορφα μέσα στο σώμα σου.

Ξεκίνα από σήμερα να εφαρμόζεις όσα περισσότερα μπορείς και θα δεις αλλαγή στην ψυχολογία σου αλλά και στο σώμα σου από τις πρώτες ημέρες:
-Αφαίρεσε τελείως την πρόσθετη ζάχαρη από την διατροφή σου. Δεν χρειάζεται να ψάχνεις στις ετικέτες των τροφίμων για την ζάχαρη που κρύβεται σε αυτά, όμως μπορείς να την αφαιρέσεις από τα ροφήματα και τον καφέ σου. Αν δεν μπορείς να πιεις σκέτο καφέ προτίμησε κάποιο άλλο γλυκαντικό. Επίσης, αντικατάστησε οποιαδήποτε γλυκό με 2 κομματάκια μαύρης σοκολάτας/1 φορά την εβδομάδα.
-Απόφυγε το λευκό αλεύρι. Οι απλοί υδατάνθρακες αυξάνουν τα επίπεδα ινσουλίνης στο αίμα, κάτι το οποίο κάνει τα λιποκύτταρα να αποθηκεύουν περιττές θερμίδες. Αντίθετα, οι σύνθετοι υδατάνθρακες που περιέχονται στα προϊόντα ολικής άλεσης και τα όσπρια θα σου χαρίσουν ενέργεια, θα σε χορτάσουν για περισσότερη ώρα και θα σου προσφέρουν βιταμίνες και ιχνοστοιχεία.
-Αλκοόλ; Δύο ποτήρια την εβδομάδα είναι αρκετά. Αν θέλεις να χάσεις βάρος, οι «κενές» θερμίδες του αλκοόλ θα σαμποτάρουν την προσπάθεια σου. Μην ξεχνάς ότι τις γιορτινές μέρες θα καταναλώσεις περισσότερο αλκοόλ απ’ ότι συνήθως οπότε μέχρι τότε προσπάθησε να αρκεστείς στα 2 ποτήρια την εβδομάδα.
-Γιορτινά εδέσματα; Άστα για αργότερα. Αν ξεκινήσεις από τώρα να καταναλώνεις μελομακάρονα και κουραμπιέδες είναι σίγουρο ότι μέχρι τα Χριστούγεννα θα έχεις πάρει κιλά. Μπορείς, αντί αυτού, να θέσεις ένα όριο στον εαυτό σου και να καταναλώσεις αυτά τα γλυκά από τις 20/12 και μετά. Εντάξει, όλοι έχουμε φάει ήδη μία χριστουγεννιάτικη λιχουδιά – δεν πειράζει.

About four years ago, I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food and exercise (read: orthorexic tendencies.) I was restricting food in the name of “health,” doing HIIT workouts 7 days a week, and had kind of unknowingly developed a lot of fear and anxiety around food.

Not to mention, my hormones were absolutely wReCKeD as a result...
.
True health is about the body, mind, and spirit working together in harmony.
.
When I talk about food now, I’m not saying that nutrition doesn’t matter and that giving yourself permission to eat whatever you want will lead you to ultimate health (although sometimes we have to start out in the permission stage!)
.
I’m saying that nutrition isn’t the *only* thing that matters. Food has incredibly healing power, but food isn’t just about what it can do for us metabolically.
.
Sometimes it’s totally necessary to avoid certain foods, and I want to help you make sure that your food choices are made *out of love for your body* and in an effort to *honor your body* instead of from fear or diet culture mentality.

Does anyone remember that guy who, as an experiment, only ate Twinkies for a month and lost weight? Everyone was like, 🤯 OMG!!! You can lose weight by eating “crap” foods?!?!?
And yes, you can 💯% lose weight by eating Twinkies, donuts, and Ho-Hos. Why? Because to lose weight, you only need to be in a calorie deficit.
And the different diets out there, from keto and intermittent fasting to WW and Nutrisystem operate on one premise: calorie deficit.
But, as a dietitian, I will tell you that following those diets may not be doing a lot for your overall health. We know that the following things are beneficial for your overall health:
👍🏼 Fruits and vegetables
👍🏼 Whole grains
👍🏼 Beans and legumes
👍🏼 Unsaturated fats/oils (like olive oil or avocados)
👍🏼 Lean proteins (from animal or plant sources)
Many of the fad diets people follow demonize some of the things listed above, especially the grains and fruits 🤦🏼♀️. Even though we know they provide us with so many health benefits (like fiber, vitamins, and minerals). And this can lead to fear and anxiety about eating certain foods (poor carbs 🥺😢)
So, while I hear that these diets “work”, it may only be in regards to weight loss, not necessarily that it’s benefiting your overall health, mentally and physically.

Most whole plant foods are rich in protein too. 🤩 The average healthy adult should aim for about 0.8 g/kg of their body weight every day. That’s about 0.36 g/lb! The following are mostly complete (so you’re getting all amino acids, just like with animal products), and a long as your pair them with some complementary foods, you’ll have more than enough (rice, grains, vegetables)! 🍛 Remember, going plant-based means SUBSTITUTING new foods in place of animal products, not just cutting things out! 👀

Quinoa, soy (edamame, tofu, tempeh), beans, Seitan, lentils, nuts/nut butters, and seeds! 💥

Yes, animal-based foods have more protein and in smaller packages (= easier for us to digest and use right away), BUT alongside these animal proteins you’re also ingesting high doses of saturated fat and cholesterol, very little vitamins/minerals and zero fibre compared to plants! 😬 As long as you’re consuming a variety of whole plant-based foods, you will absolutely meet the 8-10% requirement every day! 🌱 Talk to an RD if you’re concerned!

The real question we should ALL be asking ourselves with any food is, “what are you consuming alongside that protein/carb/fat and is it nutrient-dense?” 🤔

If you’re working to build muscle or are an endurance athlete, you may want to aim for 1.1-1.5 g/kg of protein but there’s no need to go too far above that! It will just stress your kidneys and liver to do so 🙅🏻♀️

A *very* common sentiment I hear from folks is that it’s hard to eat healthier while on the road. Here’s a snapshot of what Starbucks offers - they have a ton of nutritious options!

A note on the different yogurts offered (and in general):

🔸The Siggi’s brand yogurt has less added sugar than most, but the yogurt in the parfait cups have a whopping 26 grams of added sugar, a little over 2 Tbsp. For such a small amount of yogurt, it’s really more of a dessert.

That’s not to vilify everything with sugar, but many people don’t realize how much they’re consuming. Companies want those crack centers of your brain lighting up 💡🔥💸

For people to buy a service from you, they need to know how to you can help them solve a problem.
If you aren't talking about how you can solve that problem, they will not know that you can help them.
While creating email takes time, it is 100% worth the investment. You need to stay in the mind of people who were once interested in your services and provide value, not just sell them!
What questions do you get asked often about nutrition? What are simple tips people can take to get started?
Write an email and share your knowledge with the world. Then use these tips to repurpose that content. People need to see things 7 times to take action or even understand that you can help them.
The magic ingredient here is consistency.

Two very different DMs I received this week: “How do you eat whatever you want and never gain weight?” vs. “thank you for helping all food to be normal for me. It’s finally ingrained in my head that there is no bad food.” We are all at different points in our journey to making peace with food & our bodies. PLEASE - don’t compare your body, your weight, or your eating habits to mine, or anyone on the internet for that matter. You are not me, or her, or them. You are YOU. Your body has unique needs that need to be honored. Your body is sending you signals all the time that need to be heard. (Are you having frequent diarrhea? Or infrequent bowel movements? Are you super fatigued all the time? Is your period irregular, or not even showing up? Don’t ignore these because you’re so focused on weight loss.) What you see here is just a fraction of my life. I share a lot, but I don’t share it all. And I don’t eat “whatever I want” meaning fast food & cookies. Nutrition & my health are still important to me. Not because I’m a dietitian; because I’m a human. I like feeling good and I like taking care of the one body I’ve been blessed with. *that doesn’t mean I’m perfect; I truly believe that eating dessert is good for my health, too* I like not being at war with my body. I like not weighing myself so I can be more in tune with how I feel mentally, physically, emotionally, vs. being numbers driven. Once I stopped TRYING to manipulate my body, it settled right where it wants to be. I continue to do the things that make ME feel good, & my weight stays about the same. Sure it probably fluctuates a few pounds here & there, but I don’t know since I don’t weigh myself, and frankly, I don’t care, because at the end of the day, a few lbs does NOT impact my ability to do the things that make me happy. A lot of people want to get to this place with food/body, but they don’t wanna do the work. I get it. We want this mindset shift to just...happen. Wouldn't it be nice if eating were something you could easily figure out, follow, and wrap up in a tidy little box? Maybe there would be exact rules to follow and that's all you would have to do to be the "perfect" weight, happy, and healthy!
I get asked ALL the time... "Can you just give me a list of things not to eat?" Or I hear, "I just need one session to get on a plan so I can lose weight." Well, I'm sorry to say, but I don't do those things. I wish eating were that easy, (and in some ways it is, it just takes looking through a different lens.) But food itself is complex. We all have different needs and different reasons for eating. There's not one right way, even for each individual.
Our energy needs, food preferences, and social life vary day to day and individually. No list or plan can account for these factors.
There's not a food you can't or shouldn't have (unless you have a medical condition warranting elimination). Truly, all foods fit!
If there are changes you want to make to your diet or eating habits, focus on what you want to include!
If you want to eat more whole grains, look for ways... Maybe you like whole wheat bread! And maybe you love white rice but aren't crazy about brown rice 🙋♀️ then eat white rice!
You don't have to say white rice is bad, I shouldn't eat it. Just find other ways to incorporate whole grains while still enjoying the foods you love.
This goes for any food. Fruits 🍉 vegetables 🥦 proteins 🍳 omega-3's 🥑(all the things society tells us we should eat). Yes, eat them! But you don't have to eliminate other foods or label them as "bad". You can ALWAYS focus on including more foods without excluding others!

5 meals a day works for some, 3 works for others. Many preach that keto is the miracle diet, while others say the opposite.

In the end, there is no one universal answer. Instead of focusing on what other people are doing and what is working for them it is more important to reflect on what works and is a good fit for our own individual health needs and goals!

A lot of people seem to follow what influencers do. If someone with a lot of followers is on a fad diet like the keto diet then others will follow 🐑
If you are looking to lose weight and you seem to be struggling with it then please speak to a dietitian. They are trained to help you especially if you still want to undertake a ketogenic diet.
Being on a fad diet such as the keto diet makes it more difficult for you to meet long term nutrient needs for key vitamins and minerals such as folate and calcium. This particular diet is very restrictive on carbohydrates and a lot of them such as lentils and yoghurt provide a combination of the 3 macronutrients (carb, fat and protein). 🥝

I had a chat today with executive chef Gregg from @freshsolutionshosp, as we're building our online program for chefs in aged care (exciting!). We've been approached by an organisation that we've helped in the past to support them again. •
Outcomes we helped them achieve: 🔹️kept a consistent food budget while maintaining high quality food
🔹️costed the menu so chefs knew exactly how to meet their budgets
🔹️ reduced food wastage, including reducing protein wastage (this is important, especially when supplement use is high)
🔹️trained chef's how to create texture modified meals with variety and high quality for nutritional content.
These are measurable outcomes, which are important for the bean counters, but the most important outcome?
We created a fantastic working partnership that got stuff done! We share the same vision, we bring our specific expertise to the table (literally 😉) and we learn by doing. Some ideas may be great but it may take a few goes to get one to stick!

Want to know Australia’s largest problem when it comes to diet? Discretionary food intake (non-essential foods, aka ‘junk’ foods and drinks). 🍰 🍩 🍟 🥓 🍫 🥤 🧂 🍕
A key reason why this is a problem is because it replaces the intake of core, healthy foods in the diet, like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
If we were to eat just three meals a day, one of the meals would be entirely discretionary. That’s because one-third of our daily energy intake comes from these foods and beverages that provide us with pleasure, but with little nutrition.
We took a deep dive to find out exactly how, what and when we eat discretionary foods and beverages in Australia. 🤓
Our research found that almost everyone is eating more than what’s recommended, and that it’s not just what we’re eating, but also how much we’re eating in one sitting that’s our problem.
Alcohol including wine and beer, is often forgotten but was a big contributor to discretionary intakes among adults. Remember every glass counts this silly season! 🍾

•the organic tomato and roasted red pepper soup is TO DIE FOR. Especially with a) grilled cheese, or b) air fried cauliflower gnocchi in it (thank you @dashofmandi for changing my life forever with this one) plus I add EBTB seasoning to it 🍅🌶🍞🧀
•the frozen colorful carrot coins make a super easy and delicious side dish on weeknights 🥕
•love snacking on their cashews (they have a great nut selection - get your minds outta the gutter) 🌰🥜 & also their unsweetened dried fruit, esp mango! 🥭

If you could only eat pumpkin 🎃 or oats 🥣 for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Luckily you don’t have to choose when you make these PUMPKIN PIE OVERNIGHT OATS! 😍
Here’s how:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds (optional)
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
In a jar with a lid, combine all ingredients except pumpkin seeds and maple syrup.
Replace lid, and refrigerate overnight.
Before serving, add pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, and extra cinnamon if desired. #sinfulnutrition

This is your Tuesday reminder that weight is not everything and does not dictate health entirely. .

There are so many people who actually stop exercising because they don’t understand why they are not losing weight or even gaining. They are not considering the muscle aspect of it. There are also some people who feel insecure about their BMI. BMI is one of the worst indicators of health. We are also now in a social media era where things are not always as shiny ⭐️ as they appear. I was in the supermarket one day and this magazine had a list of different celebrities weights (all women of course). I mean WTF?!?! I am 99.9% sure none of those celebrities disclosed their weight. .

I would love ❤️ for everyone to know that if your health is not being compromised there is no reason to freak out. If you want to lose weight, fine. But please do it for yourself and not because you are comparing yourself to an unrealistic ideal. We are all born with different body types and compositions. That cannot change unless you do something drastic. Please don’t. .

🍋Nutrition, the food may be full of color, but the methods are mostly gray. ⠀

🍊The nutrition field is a really fun field to be in and also an incredibly convoluted one. There are a lot of opinions, a good deal (not enough) of research, and a ton of anecdotes. ⠀
⠀
🧐There are camps of nutrition believers. We have our macro enthusiasts, our health at every size advocates, our hormone specialists, our weight management workers, our intuitive eater teachers and so much more.⠀
⠀
🤷🏻♀️The thing is that every single one of them wants the same thing for their clients, which is to achieve health and harmony with their nutrition.They all have their benefits but they all also have their flaws. If we stick to one fo these, we end up making nutrition black or white. ⠀
⠀
🤨The problem with them all is that they do not all work for everyone or they don't work for everyone all the time. Everyone is different and thus they need different components of each. Instead, maybe someone needs some work on their body image while also tracking their food intake. Maybe some one needs to learn to intuitively eat while also manage their weight for health reasons.⠀
⠀
💁🏻♀️There's no sexy solution to long-term health and nutrition, just a big ol' gray area that I'm here to dig through with you and hopefully make some sense out of for you, whatever season you may be in. ⠀

About four years ago, I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food and exercise (read: orthorexic tendencies.) I was restricting food in the name of “health,” doing HIIT workouts 7 days a week, and had kind of unknowingly developed a lot of fear and anxiety around food.

Not to mention, my hormones were absolutely wReCKeD as a result...
.
True health is about the body, mind, and spirit working together in harmony.
.
When I talk about food now, I’m not saying that nutrition doesn’t matter and that giving yourself permission to eat whatever you want will lead you to ultimate health (although sometimes we have to start out in the permission stage!)
.
I’m saying that nutrition isn’t the *only* thing that matters. Food has incredibly healing power, but food isn’t just about what it can do for us metabolically.
.
Sometimes it’s totally necessary to avoid certain foods, and I want to help you make sure that your food choices are made *out of love for your body* and in an effort to *honor your body* instead of from fear or diet culture mentality.

Healing begins when you start making choices for the right reasons 💕✨
