A recumbent stonecircle found in a field near Castle Fraser. Unique to Aberdeenshire these stonecircles have a large stone placed on it's side with two flankers on either side. These are always placed on the south west alignment of the circle and are believed to be involved with moon rites from over 4000 years ago.
Explored an alpine basin a few days ago, not far from home at all. After surveying the land with @ashleylukewalton we have intentions to come back and traverse the ridgelines for a couple days. New Zealand is blowing me away.
Early on when I first picked up photography I used to shoot for fun. As time went on I started constraining and limiting myself to following strict rules about how I take and edit photos. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These limitations got to the point where I found no enjoyment and photography became a burden. So I stopped taking photos all together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After about a year I picked it up again. I quickly realized I was limiting myself for no reason. Why stress myself out over something when I am the only one who sets the expectations for it? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now after removing these limits and managing my expectations I enjoy photography and sharing it with you all more than ever.

We were here at the height of the cod fishing season, and all around us were racks full with thousands of drying fish heads. It smelled quite pungent, and the birds loved it!
As you may or may have not seen, my friend @thesafarer and I are hosting an incredible 20-day trip across South Amercia. We will be exploring the most beautiful spots of Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
Places are limited, make sure to sign up so you can receive all the needed information. Don’t hesitate to shoot me a DM, I’ll be glad to tell you more about it.
Today has been though... I have been busy thankfully... But last night an avalanche fell on my hometown Flateyri... Thankfully no one got hurt badly and the wall that was made above the town kept most of it out of the town... But the memories from 1995 kicked me in the face! Thankfully we are done shooting so now I am at home talking to my family... My brother and his beautiful family live there still so this is even closer to heart....

Greetings from Montana 🏔 I’ve spent the past few days here driving around the Mission Mountains and eating way too much food. Full transparency: I have been equally impressed by both the landscape and the carbs I have consumed @visitmontana#montanamoment
For as much as I don’t miss living in California it sure is great to visit🙈 Some of my favorite areas-
•BIG SUR- Crazy ocean views from mountainsides or just the road, spend a day on the trails & the next at the beach. It can be difficult to get camping reservations, plan ahead!
•YOSEMITE-Obviously a must, walking through the valley is unreal & there’s so many great backpacking options!
•Inyo National Forest-Some of my favorite trails are in this area! Tons of gorgeous alpine lakes & quieter trails •MAMMOTH- Hot spring heaven!! My choice for a winter escape, plus great skiing/snowboarding
•REDWOOD NAT PARK- I love wandering along the trails through giant Redwoods, such a surreal experience & another good winter option
•CHANNEL ISLAND NAT PARK- In my opinion an underrated escape, the ferry ride out to the islands is an experience in itself. I backpacked across Santa Cruz Island & the spring flowers were amazing! There were plenty of whales to see & of course the ocean views & California coastline were impressive.
*Places still on my list to see*
•Mt Shasta area
•Sequoia Nat Park
•Lake Tahoe #savannahsomewherewithluna
One of the most common questions I get about Luna is how I take her places with me- let me clarify that I do not get any special doggy flying perks with my job- so we spend a ton of time cruising around in my super cool mini van🤗 With all the seats taken out of the back there’s just enough room for me & Luna, it’s nothing fancy & I haven’t done any real renovations to it but it gets the job done👍🏼 To get to these hot springs we drove over 14 hours in about a day & a half- we were able to soak in a couple other springs but it was definitely a full send kind of trip🙈 #savannahsomewherewithluna

A lovely beach day in Iceland with @jameslloydcole and @icelandic_travelers (Sverrir). We decided to ditch the sun cream and sun glasses but took gloves and raincoats instead! Apart from Sverrir obviously who went for the traditional Icelandic wool jumper! #paulwatsonphoto .
