I was going to post some LA eats today when I realized I didn’t post like 3 places that I enjoyed in London!!!! I’ll post the other ones as a throwback (I always say this and I have yet to post a travel throwback on my main page 😅)..
I really enjoyed Pachamama East! It was the first restaurant I had in LDN (and great Peruvian food)! So great first intro. I can’t say this enough... the duck on rice was life changing! Probz my 2nd best thing I had in LDN (or 3rd?)... this is why I had to play!!! .
1. Duck on rice - a must eat!
2. Padrón peppers - these were so spicy but bomb!
3. Pork Belly Chicharrones - solid 👍🏼
4. Stir fried chicken noodles - so much flavor!
5. Ceviche - I think this was the sea bass ceviche with sweet potatoes? I could be wrong 😅 but it was some sort of ceviche that I enjoyed!
6. Beef short rib with sweet potatoes “the Pachamama”... skip. The most expensive of the courses and so dry! Flavor was good tho!
7. Pisco Sour - again, I think 🤔 lol I’m so bad at this! .
Alright, so that officially concludes my London adventures. So sad that my spice girls adventures weren’t it but hey.. I messed up and that duck on rice was too good!
Comment below - did you go to work today? Did you sleep in? What are your plans? .

Czemu?
W końcu chyba odnalazłem sposób, w jaki chcę i będę podróżował. Na totalnym spontanie, z głową otwartą na nowych ludzi i nowe miejsca. Bez planu, bez musztry i odhaczania kolejnych ‘must see’ miejscówek, bez karania się za leniuchowanie.

“I was doing a show over Christmas in a very conservative area, and we were talking a lot about the kids who were coming to see the show and how they don’t go to the theatre because there isn’t really theatre for them. It’s not really a thing. They’re the kind of families who will go to the theatre to see the pantomime every year but they won’t go to anything else. But I think theatre it’s so good at introducing people to different ideas, different ways of thinking and being introduced to different cultures and different ways of doing things. I think it’s a very enriching experience for those who do go. It’s great that we have so much theatre in London, but I think it is a shame that the further out of London you go, theatre becomes less of a thing. Particularly for the young ones, introducing them to what is a really wonderful art form is fantastic.”
This song still captures so well the spirit of London! I remember when I was living in France and was visiting often (thanks to Eurostar promo trips) whether just to enjoy London or take the opportunity of a rock gig to visit again 😃
I had my London playlist going on and on days before the trip although I didn't need that to get into the London mood. The hit "London Calling" by The Clash was obviously on my mix! Love its vibes, love London!
The exhibition displayed @barbicancentre will please the Clash fans but it's also well done for people who don't know them so well.
It's free and it's on till Friday March 20th 2020!
Hope you can make it!

A Family-style Sri Lankan cooking and inventive cocktails offered in vibrant, relaxed surroundings. This place is named after the country’s lacy fermented rice and coconut milk pancakes shaped like a bowl. Here is what I ordered: 🍳𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 - £5
🍘𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗗𝗼𝘀𝗮 - £8.5
🥘𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗶 - £9
1️⃣ Egg hoppers are simply a plain hopper with an egg cracked in the bottom. This is a simple hopper (rice and coconut pancake) with fried egg. Intrigued by how this would taste, decided to order my own.
2️⃣ NEXT 🆙: my classic favorite, the Masala Dosa with sambals and potato fry. Is this is what heaven looks like? The perfect dosa for me lies in the sides that come along with it. How flavorful and spicy the daal (sambal) and how sweet, tangy & spicy the chutneys are.
3️⃣ A compelling punch and depth with the chicken kari which reminds me (ironically) of the dry meat curry. Kari is the Tamil term for curry (which makes sense). All for all, total bill came much below £30 (£15 p/person) which is reasonable as this was a meal for 2 and with really REALLY tasty food. The food really has to be worth it. Happily, at Hoppers, it is.
EGGS FLORENTINE like no other - @applebuttercafe serve theirs in a CROISSANT! 🥐🍳🥐🍳 Spinach, beetroot hollandaise, classic hollandaise, and those perfectly poached eggs, sandwiched in between a buttery, crispy croissant is the type of brunch combo I could eat every day! 🤭🤤 Dennis may have broken my umbrella, but I couldn't possibly let him ruin my brunch plans! ☔🌧️ Happy Sunday brunchin'! 🥐🍳🥐🍳
