Finding a balance between work and leisure. I haven’t put out a blog post in a while (except for a recent one on my fave albums, link in bio) but I’m starting to have ideas again and I think I’ll put one up soon. Is there anything you guys would like to see?

Elemis, Superfood Vital Veggie Mask ($35, Ulta, brand website)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⇛Beauty (⭐️⭐️⭐️): My #texturetuesday entry plus review! I enjoyed many components of this mask - I like the product packaging (squeeze tube and not a tub), the thickness, application, and easy removal. It really did leave my skin feeling bright and moisturized after, because (although it contains clay) this mask does not dry down. I do have some negatives - it has added fragrance and has citrus oils, which are sensitizing agents. It’s probably not terrible in a wash off product, but it may irritate your skin. I’m generally skeptical about some of its other claims, including its prebiotic properties. It’s just a mask, it works on moisturizing and improving skin tone right after removal, but it’s nothing extraordinary. You can definitely get a similar effect from other, less irritating masks like the Vitamin Tree mask from I’m From, and regular use of brightening serums and chemical exfoliants. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⇛Business (⭐️⭐️, cruelty-free): I have only recently become aware of this UK brand sold at Ulta. I’m not a huge fan of this brand, from doing a bit of research from the website. It touts innovation and using the powers of science and nature, but formulates products with irritating ingredients (we have solid science against using fragrance in skincare) and makes claims that can’t possibly be fulfilled (prebiotics for skincare). It’s just intellectually dishonest, and I’m over it, especially since it’s a cornerstone of identity for the brand. I also think the brand is priced more than it should be. They have serums priced at $335, c’mon now. There’s nothing luxurious or special about the packaging, and the added fragrance doesn’t smell higher end. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ——————— #BOBReview#discoverunder2k#elemis#elemiseveryday#elemissuperfood#facemask#nighttimeroutine#boxycharm#texturetuesday#skincarecommunity#skincarereview

As I sit here, with pesto pasta on my shirt (and couch), I would like to remind myself that I am capable of looking this put together on occasion. And that some days are just less glamorous than others.
💫 Can someone take me out for a cocktail very soon please?
It’s Tuesday, but it’s really my Friday😜 Today is my
last day of work (one of the major pros of shift work) before I have off for 3 weeks because of our trip🙌🏻 Nothing could bring me down today😂 // This look just went live on the blog featuring one of my favorite black dresses for fall! It can be styled SO many different ways and it won’t break the bank🏦 It’s flattering on everyone! Link in my bio to see this dress and how you would style it! .

TRANSPARENT TUESDAY! You know what that means! It’s about to get real up in here!
Ok, ok... I’m going to keep this TT rather light this week 😂
I am addicted to dry shampoo. Like... legit can’t live without it. Even so much so that Bill jokes that if there was an apocalypse, I would sacrifice myself for it. He may or may not be right. 🤷🏻♀️ Gross alert: I wash my hair once a week. This started after I read something about the oils in our scalps being beneficial to hair health. I was already a hot mess express after kids so reading this justified my not washing my hair. Ain’t nobody got time for that when you have a raging toddler and a refluxy newborn.
Now it’s almost become a game to see how long I can stretch washes 🤣
PERSONAL • TRAINING .
I can’t believe I actually went through with getting a PT but I NEEDED to. Aside from becoming one with my sofa, my brain needed an extra shot of the happy chemical so off to the gym I have been going. Working out in a big gym has always been a point of anxiety because it never felt like a place that I belonged in. It still doesn’t but at least I’m not paralysed by fear when it comes to lifting weights anymore. More on this in Friday’s blog post since I’ll be done with my first week of training! ✨ sub to the blog so you don’t miss it or peep my stories this week 🤙🏾
I USED TO HAVE A GIRL CRUSH
I want to tell you this story about Stacey - because I know you know her.
Stacey is a woman I have followed for YEARS - since the beginning of my entrepreneurial days.
I’ve always been a little envious of Stacey…
Her life is what they call #goals for me.
I aspired to run in circles with women like Stacey from the time I started my first Etsy shop…
So you can imagine the sheer terror/giddy excitement that pulsed through my veins 2 years ago when I first began my coaching biz and Stacey hit me up for dinner one night.
“Me??”, I thought.
What could she possibly want from me??
I thought surely it was to see about coming to speak at the networking event I had just started - or something similar…
You can imagine my surprise when I sat down at her table that night and the first words out of her mouth were “I need your help girl”.
Hold the phone - what?
This successful, entrepreneur queen-goddess lady needed MY help??
This had to be a mistake…
We spent the next hour and a half eating and talking business and marketing and come to find out...Miss Has-It-All-Together, had nothing together...at all.
All of the success beaming from her face was just a looooot of confidence standing in front of a husband with a really good job.
Her business was suffering - and she didn’t know how to pick it up.
So maybe you know this girl…
Or maybe this girl is YOU.
But the moral of the story here is, it doesn’t matter how your business looks on the outside.
NONE of that matters if you haven’t mastered your personal brand and the art of relationship marketing.
If you don’t know how to truly work your business instead of just checking the boxes of “supposed to’s” and “should have’s” - you don’t (and won’t EVER) have a thriving business.
If you want to do more than just look good on the outside, it’s time to build your business - the sustainable way.

Breakfast was more cooked plums in honey and sweet cinnamon. Strawberry, 0% @fage yoghurt @pipandnut coconut and almond butter and dark chocolate drops.
Comparing noses (I mean notes) and figuring out who marked my last post for being inappropriate... guys, the pie hole is your mouth 😅
Loving my $22 dress. I had it in the closet for a while unsure about it because it was on the longer side for my 4'10" height. But after squatting to take photos of murals, I realized it's perfect for my active self. Looks cute but still functional. There's a sleeveless version but I opted for the sleeve version for something different. It has ruching (gathering) on the side which helps the dress curve the body nicely... so if you have thicker thighs like me it works out nicely! Comfy cotton fabric with lining too. Link is in my profile.

After receiving love from the previous Centella Safe Sun, a lot of requests were also sent to Purito to make an essential oil-free version. Let me tell you that this brand takes feedback and actually do something about it, hence the Purito Centella Unscented Sun*
🌿 A few weeks ago my skin felt more sensitive than usual, I opted to stay on the safe side and switch my well-loved Comfy Sun to this since essential oils can have a sensitizing effect overtime. This version has no scent whatsover, it does have the same lotion-like consistency. It spreads easily with no white cast or need for extra time and effort like the Comfy Sun. Out of the three though, I find that this one has the most dewy finish which can be ideal for dry skin types. It stays dewy throughout the day and though it makes me look oilier than usual I find that make-up applies better over it than Comfy Sun. When it comes to consistency and finish, the Comfy Sun is still my favorite though which is why I'm looking forward to coming back to it once I get the essential oil-free version. I still enjoy this since it applies much more easily and it's essential oil-free. Out of everything I have tried, this is my second favorite sunscreen.
💫 I was absolutely gutted to miss the @gamechangersmovie last night due to illness 😢 but from everyone I’ve spoken to, it sounded amazing and inspiring! Can’t wait to see it soon hopefully (praying someone like @netflix picks it up!). Did you guys see it? 💚🌱💪🏼
