A brand that has been on my mind lately 🥰
I only discovered lepaar products recently and I’m completely fascinated by their entire range. The product that has become a staple in my skincare routines is the lepaar Luminous balm that was featured in boxwalla (swipe to pic 2), initially I wasn’t very excited about it as it arrived a month late and the weather was turning warmer here, but I was completely taken aback by how quickly it absorbs into my skin and doesn’t feel tacky on my skin. Most balms don’t work for me and feel so heavy on my skin recently as the weather is so strangely warm, so this lepaar balm is definitely one of a kind and the best balm that I’ve used so far. I’ve been applying it nearly every night as it just gives my skin the extra boost of hydration that it needs without clogging up my pores, and I’m not sure why but I’m also seeing a reduction of blackheads. I’m very tempted to get another box as my jar is almost half empty, and considering I only received it in mid January, I think this just shows how much I’m liking the balm. .
The lip balm, on the hand, is not hydrating enough for me, but to be fair, I’ve very dry lips so nothing really works. But I’m enjoying the feel of it on my lips and also bought the rose tinted version to add to my collection. As for the body oil, I’m keeping it for summer as my body gets really dry in winter especially when there’s a drastic change in temperature. .
I also picked up the yuzu vitamin c last week to incorporate into my morning routine, and I enjoy layering it with one of my morning oil serums so far. The mask is also a decadent addition to my mask collection but I’ve only used it once so it’s too early too say anything about it 😛 .
Now tell me, which product/brand have you been enjoying lately. Would love to hear 💕💕💕 .
Aaand another jar all used up! @clinique moisture surge is by far my favourite moisturiser and it's probably the product I'm most loyal to.
For me, I'm happy to change up my cleansers, toners and facial oils, but with moisturisers, I'm a bit more hesitant and always need to be test them out long term. So, I've been loyal to this one for a good two years now and I'm more than satisfied with it.
It may seem like a more basic formulation to some as there are no additional benefits such as anti-ageing, redness reduction, etc. However, as my main skincare concerns are hyperpigmentation and acne scarring, I find it more useful to select products that are specifically made to deal with these concerns such as vitamin C serums and retinoids, for example.
So, what I look out for in any good moisturiser is:
▪️ Does it mix well with my other products?
▪️ Does it sit well underneath makeup?
▪️ Does my face feel soft and supple through the day?
▪️ Does it feel like it sinks well into my skin? Or just sits on the surface?
▪️ Does it cause any irritation?
▪️ Do I look like a shiny ball of grease when I step out of the house? Okay, you may laugh but this one is very important for me as I have an oily t-zone and whilst I don't use mattifying products as I find those too drying, I do have to be careful about looking too shiny.
So, what do you look out for in a good moisturiser? Also, what is your go to moisturiser/s? ❤️
Who is the face behind AVENUE RICHMOND? So if you don’t know me already, my name is Natalie, a mum of 2 little boys and I’m currently on maternity leave with my second. Usually I’m a full time working mummy in finance but am taking the opportunity on mat leave to pursue my dream of working for myself.
There’s nothing better after a stressful day, be it at work, home, looking after the kids etc than to light a candle, sit down, put your feet up and just unwind. For me, this is the perfect remedy for everyday stresses and hence AVENUE RICHMOND was born.
I have lived in Richmond for the last six years, a place that is so beautiful, it just had to feature in the brand name. Each and every candle is handpoured by me at my home in Richmond and it has been such a fun adventure perfecting the art of candle making.
I wanted to bring to market a candle that is eco-friendly and once fully burned can be repurposed in everyday life, so they had to be dressing table ready! The 3 collections of glass, copper/brass and marble are clean and elegant and will really enhance your space.
Morning can be hard for me... especially when my cat decides to jump up behind the bed on the shelf at odd hours of the night and jump down beside my head, waking me up each time!
The other night she actually jumped off and landed on my chest lol.
That was scary to wake up to 🙃
She’s lucky that she’s cute.

Sometimes it’s worth remember that there are some people who can push sustainability agenda and the issues around it all the time with words that can sometimes make you feel a little inadequate and just not doing enough, but there isn’t one size fits all in terms of how to be involved.
You don’t have to be all in or all out. You can care but not want to protest. You can sign all petitions yet not feel able to discuss it with your friends. You can talk about sustainability in all your free time and yet not work in it and visa versa. It is the collective changes we make that have impact.
So what ever you’re doing, please keep trying.
As many have said, we need everyone doing it imperfectly instead of a few being completely committed. More people, more action, more encouragement and more support. After all, so many people have changed so much in the past few years and they alone is incredible ❤️

Back in the day, I shot on film because I couldn’t afford a digital camera. I got away from it as I went digital, but I’m so glad I kept (most) of my film cameras!
Now that I’m mostly shooting for fun, it’s been invigorating to pick up my old manual film cameras and shoot. I’m also such a different photographer than I was back then (I think I’m much better 😂) so it’s been fun to see the results!
For film nerds, this is #mediumformat#120mm@kodak#trix400 film shot on my @hasselblad#500cm on a 150mm @zeisscameralenses lens and developed using @ilfordphoto developer. Scanned using an @epsonamerica#v500 and tweaked in Lightroom. A lot of work, but it’s worth it!(?)

Who else is not a morning person?!! 😑😑😑
I hear of people who wake up an hour early to Squeeze in gym time/ yoga/ academic classes and I wonder to myself “WHO are these people?!! Why do they exist?!” 😭😭
Needless to say, I ain’t ready to face a human or hustle unless it past 10 am and I’m 2 coffees down! 🙄
Who feels me?!
I’ve been waiting for it to snow so I could post this picture, but at this rate I don’t think NJ/NYC will be getting a big snowstorm this year 😭☃️

With the wedding being about 4 months away, I definitely need to start worrying about my skin and a wedding diet!! The diet part is hard 😂 especially when all the bad food is so good! But I’ve got no problem staying hydrated with my adorable cup 😍 and keeping my lips moisturized through the winter with the most amazing chapstick from @moroccanmagic // if you haven’t tried it yet, I highly highly recommend you do!!!! The best feeling ever 😍😍
What tips do you have being 4 months out from a wedding??! 🤗
I don’t like making small talk with strangers because it feels soooo super awkward and forced. And I really have to be ON which is tough as an introvert. But it’s an inevitable step one in starting a relationship so I try to make the best of my time.
Coming to our next event in a few weeks? Here’s how to make these conversations fun and interesting so you’ll enjoy it AND leave a great impression.
First, find a super easy person to talk to like Joanna from @drmeurocafe 😆 Ok ok, it’s not THAT easy.
Step one? BE YOURSELF. This seems obvious but most people are not doing this and this is a fast way to identify who you have an immediate connection with. If you’re NOT a bubbly, cheerleader type, don’t project a super-high-energy vibe. If you’re sarcastic or have a dry sense of humor, make a joke in the conversation. Definitely do NOT force a particular energy or personality because it will feel awkward and draw the wrong connections.
Second, PREPARE A FEW UNIQUE QUESTIONS. Make the decision in advance to ask some interesting questions. This takes the pressure off of you to make game time decisions and will make you stand out because you were SO interested in others and sparked great conversations. And if all else fails, make people feel good about themselves with a compliment.
Third, DON’T BE AFRAID TO SPLIT. If you start to feel stuck in conversation, don’t be afraid to get out of there. Politely say “excuse me, I’m just going to refresh my drink really quickly” or “I need to use the restroom.” And bounce.
Also, my favorite is to semi-dramatically say, “Gosh it was SOOO great talking to you and learning more about you. I’m going to give you time to meet some more people here. I’ll see you later, okay?” And split.
@earthen_skincare kindly sent me their Clear #1 eye cream. This cream is supposed to work by changing the surface reflection of your skin by boosting hydration for the appearance of less tired eyes. .
I’ve been using this cream night and day for a couple weeks now so I feel like I can share some thoughts on it. The texture is really nice for an eye cream. It’s thick enough to hydrate the eye area but not too thick that is doesn’t absorb. I apply it right before eye makeup and I’ve had no issues with residual greasyness, and it looks great under makeup. I can say I have noticed the extra hydration around my eyes. They feel less tight and look smoother with no dry patches seen when I apply powder or eyeshadow. I have genetic dark circles and so I always have hope there will be a miracle product that can fix them but I just need to accept that nothing short of surgery will change my dark circles. I wish I could give insight on this product for people who have less severe darkness or even day to day darkness if this cream really brightens the under eyes but realistically it’s not something a cream can fix for me. .
Over all I’m enjoying this cream. It hydrates around my eyes and works great for night and day. It’s on the pricier side ($150) so I’m unsure if I would repurchase. It could be more worth it for someone who has a different type of under eye circles.
Have you tried anything from this brand? I’m curious If you have genetic dark circles is there any cream that you’ve found that reduces them? I’m pretty sure nothing will work for me but I’m curious about your experiences!
If you made it this far thanks for reading 😂

New Englanders don’t just wait for spring to arrive... We bring it to ourselves.
GRAM FAM! I wanted to give you a bit of a life update an share some thoughts along with this STUNNING Divine rose palette from @patmcgrathreal!
I have a long standing love affair with Pat, an I own all of her mothership palettes, I was gutted when the Divine rose palette sold out so quickly first time around that I snapped this up as soon as it relaunched! I have a lot of makeup, an these bring me joy an excitement so here it is!
I am so proud of our community for the mindfulness that we are showing in consumerism and awareness for spending. Yes products expire, skincare goes bad or you have a million cleansers... but I still have mac eye shadows that I bought when I was 20 (so 16 years ago) that hasn't made me eyes fall off an I'm fine with that.
What I'm trying to say is I don't think we need to justify ourselves to anyone but you. If having loads of products makes you happy, cool if it doesn't cool.. I don't think we need to be accountable to anyone but you. It may not seem it but I have DRAMATICALLY reduced my purchasing and hoarded ways by selling on products or gifting on things that don't work for me. An I'm fine with where an what I have.
I want to be mindful, an I am but that to me maybe different to someone else and neither are wrong. Life can be whatever you want it to be if you listen to your heart an #bekind because you never know what someone is going through or feeling. I am a positive person an I am aware of what I am putting out there but this is my space to do whatever I want with!
Anyway I love the Pat Mcgrath foundation STILL! I love her lipsticks still and this #divinerose palette is everything I hoped it would be and more... the most wearable, everyday palette which if you know Pat doesn't always happen. Who's got the concealer an what do you think?!
