Thanks much to those who messaged me complimenting my house and it’s decor. Many of you asked me to share pics of my living room, so here goes, for those who wanted to see. I love Indian ethnic decor and I try to incorporate that everywhere I can in my house. I also like to keep it simple ( by simple I don’t mean no drama, I mean less drama ;) - have you seen the pillars, swing and the fairy lights?) and non fussy with not too many pieces of furniture. My home is perennial WIP as I keep adding, moving and removing things from time to time. Here slowly she is getting ready for Deepavali!! So here is me sharing where I live!! On a rainy evening, with mild chill in the air , pleasant agarbhati fragrance, amazing coffee , my daughter chattering in the background, my husband planning our vacation, mother in law singing , father in law watching news, me swinging, listening to all of this yet in oblivion soaking in some wanna be ‘me time’ is what my home has blessed me with!! ;) Here is where I live, love , laugh and more!! #indianhomedecor#indianhome#festive#decordrama#chettinadpillars#fairylights#festivedecor#diwalidecor#indoorplants#noplacelikehome#indiandecor#indiandecorideas#myhome

🍃 How did it all began? Let's take a #LookBack .
. ✨The only answer I know really is, I have always been this kind of person, who loved to express visually and through words. Always looking forward to the off-beat things to do and events in the city, and keen to share with my circle. Have religiously been capturing moments, long before you all started following me 😅
Before even getting started on instagram, I already had made and posted a lot on two blog websites (one of which is under revamp, Yay!) Not to forget, how very active I used to be on twitter.
As in, good old, unfiltered, venting 24x7, I tell you! 😅 A few hundred Retweets made my day, in the middle of a lecture then 😛 This was between 2011 and 2015. .
And now when I look at instagram, more than anything today it still remains a platform for expressing oneself. Although with too many hazy layers of judgement, image-consciousness et all, it is too easy to drift away from the very purpose you began blogging... Or even from the very person you're. But with some level of self-consciousness, of regularly keeping in touch with the true self and real people, this space can be a journey in itself... For me, it has been one of rediscovery of myself ❤ .
What do you feel about how instagram is impacting our lives or your own? .
