Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS). A very common term in the fitness industry. Some might have heard about it, some haven’t. 🤔
MPS (Muscle protein synthesis) is the process of building muscle mass. Muscle protein synthesis is essential for exercise recovery and adaptation. 😮
There are several proven ways to increase the MPS of the body. One very basic way is discussed here. Mixing two dense sources of protein in one single meal can increase the MPS.
For example:- When you’re having your chicken, add couple of eggs in it. It’ll not only increase the protein of the particular meal, but also raise its amino acid profile, micro content and inevitably MPS. 🥘
Other ways to increase MPS in one’s body is lifting heavy, adequate sleep, enough water, etc. but these are already well known factors. One major is- Lifting at least 80-90% of your 1RM or hitting 1RM with full power. It may also increase MPS. 🏋🏻♂️ _
Muscle Protein Synthesis increases with time. The more years you’ve invested in weight training and proper nutrition, the more MPS will increase in your body and muscles. The more MPS you have, more muscle mass, muscle density, muscle maturity, better protein absorption you have.
Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) also increases the MPS really quick and high. AAS increases muscle mass, hormones and almost everything, so MPS comes handy.

Every drug has its half-life. It defines as the time it takes for the concentration of the drug in the plasma or the total amount in the body to be reduced by 50%. ⚠️
That’s why it is recommend to have black coffee before workout. Caffeine has several benefits like:- Mind alertness, concentration, blood flow, focused, increased heart rate, etc. BUT black coffee DO NOT cause WEIGHT LOSS. ❌
Caffeine dosage can be kept till 300mg per day for healthy women and up to 600mg for healthy men. 👫
If you consume a high dosage of caffeine anytime under 6 hours to bedtime, you may hinder sleeping. You might feel agitated. Sometimes we’re so tired yet unable to sleep, caffeine can be the reason. Caffeine is termed as a drug but now also as a supplement. Majority of supplements are good and safe till taken under limit. 🤨
Everyone’s caffeine tolerance is different. Some feel kicked in 1 tsp of black coffee, some not even in 2 tbsp. So you gotta act accordingly. High tolerance level is not so good. Same goes in the case of Pre-Workouts as well. (That’s whole lot another topic to cover). _

I truly wish I was eating this right now. But the reality is that I got in last night at 5am and I’ve just woken up after a lovely 4 hour sleep 😩🙃🙃 and I’m now staring at this picture of brunch I made the other day 🙈 my new fav obsession lately has been tofu scramble, I literally love it and it’s sooo easy to make!!! I added chopped tomato and sweet corn to this particular scramble 😛🤩😍😍 happy Bloody Sunday everyone 🤪🤪
Good for 2-3 servings
400g (2 cakes) cooked udon noodles*
1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 240g block extra firm tofu, drained and sliced into strips
½ large onion, sliced into strips
1 small carrot, sliced into strips
4 cups (200g) shredded cabbage
1 tbsp neutral oil
Sesame seeds, for garnishing
Chopped spring onions, for garnishing
*Note: Feel free to use other noodles if you’d like!
2 tbsp soy sauce or liquid aminos
1 ½ tsp sriracha, adjust according to desired spice
¼ cup room temp. water
3 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tbsp cornstarch
1. Heat the oven to 350F. On a lined baking tray, bake the tofu until lightly golden for around 25 mins. You can opt to pan fry the tofu in some oil if you’d like.
2. Mix all the sauce ingredients together. Make sure the cornstarch is diluted.
3. Heat a pan. Add in 1 tbsp oil. Sauté the onions until tender. Add in the bell peppers, carrots, and cabbage. Sauté until cooked, around 10 minutes.
4. Add in the tofu and cooked noodles. Pour in the sauce mixture. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the noodles have absorbed the sauce. Turn off heat and then garnish with some sesame seeds and spring onions, if desired. Enjoy while hot!
Get your fall treat pants on, friends! They can probably just be your regular pants* because these Pumpkin Muffins are full of real ingredients like oats and maple syrup and greek yogurt so they will give you all the yum and none of the crash. *If you DO, in fact, have designated treat pants, you are a champion.⠀
2 cups rolled oats (do these on their own first to get them mostly smooth!)⠀
1 cup pumpkin puree⠀
6 ounces plain Greek yogurt⠀
1/2 cup real maple syrup⠀
1 teaspoon baking soda⠀
pinch of cinnamon and salt⠀
Stir in chocolate chips if you want them (you do). Transfer to a greased muffin tin. Bake for 15-ish minutes at 375. Eat and be happy!⠀
