Filter Hype is a book for teen and pre-teen GIRLS that will be published in 2020!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please watch, support or speak into our project! You may even have an opportunity to BE IN the book!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Filter Hype : Assuming that someone is happy, wealthy, popular, charming , have great relationships, great jobs and a great life JUST from a beautiful picture on social media and then comparing YOUR LIFE and APPEARANCE to that belief.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many teens are concerned about their own appearance , as they don't seem to " measure up" to these Filtered images.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We want to Re Teach the world ( and the teens reading our book) what "normal" LOOKS like... What it looks like to be a teen without the lights and :filters". That THEY are NOT the exception...they are normal , and beautiful <3⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

BeyondTrust, a leading cybersecurity firm, predicts that Internet of Things (IoT) devices will become major targets for hackers in 2019.
Because IoT devices (e.g. smart TVs, smart speakers, connected toys, wearables, smart appliances etc) are not built with cybersecurity in mind and these smart gadgets can be easily exploited.

365 Days of learning - Day 199 - Opportunity to learn -
Sometimes you feel as though you have failed because things don’t go as planned: you trip over your words; you went over your time limit; you just sucked! Beating yourself up does not solve anything. Look at it as an opportunity to learn. Process everything that happened, put a plan in place to improve and, move forward. #vipkid#vipkidnwwbie#mentalhealth

They say nothing is permanent and so is pain and struggle. Is it?
Though a week late, as the world mental health day on 10th of October reminds all of us, we’re there for each other, we should be there for each other. The things which appear huge and life threatening today may just be a matter of a simple decision going forward in life because nothing is permanent and so is your attitude towards things. So be patient to wait for good times because if you loose hope even the good times don’t appear so. Any nasty decision will not only take your happiness away but many others’ as well. Count on people who can keep you happy and just avoid those who make you feel low and disappointed for a while because one aspect in the existence is permanent and that is undoubtedly “change”

Pictured here is Dr. Lynne Vallone, Professor of Childhood Studies, at Rutgers University-Camden, New Jersey. She's spoke on our blog and given insights to further our understanding of girlhood and its experiences.
She's said that "I think that the future for Girls’ Studies is bright—even if we don’t see many discrete programs of Girls’ Studies springing up in colleges and universities around the world. New programs can be expensive and time consuming to start and maintain. However, I believe that Girls’ Studies coursework and research will grow because one of the strengths of Girls’ Studies is in looking at problems or topics across disciplines. Interdisciplinary research and collaborations are more than a trend in the academy today; they are an established and productive research mission. Girls’ Studies concentrations can be formed in multiple ways, encouraging buy-in and energy from across fields and disciplines." Songwriting is a beautifully complex yet simple process…
It’s an exquisite mix of emotions, determination and being in the moment. Going through the process of writing the Rallim School song, this was what was experienced... and more. There were magical moments, inspiring moments and moments of pure awe. These moments will remain in our hearts forever and will be echoed in the voice of generations to come.
So why a collaboration with Arno Carstens?
At Rallim, our dream is to redesign education, to prepare kids now for jobs that don't yet exist. Our dream is not only for Rallim students to benefit but to have the opportunity to collaborate and share with other educators on a national scale our approach to education... an opportunity to learn from one another so that students nationwide can benefit from a new approach to education.
The Rallim School song is an anthem for the change that we want to see happen in our beautiful country. Arno, one of South Africa's most beloved artists, shares and believes in our vision. Not only did he love the idea of being a part of something so unique but he also saw the collaboration as an opportunity to provide the change we need to see in education... a voice.
The end product is a voice for education... and more.
Research team from IIT Hyderabad and KIIT School of Architecture, Bhubaneswar, has developed bio-bricks from agricultural waste products. These bio-bricks are not just eco-friendly, sustainable building materials but are also an effective way of waste management. The bio-bricks have received a Special Recognition Trophy for sustainable housing at Rural Innovators Start-Up Conclave 2019 organized recently by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad.
