Have you ever seen a Christmas tree on wheels? What about one powered by those same wheels?
Nissan made this all electric Leaf sparkle for the holidays using only power from the car's regenerative braking system to show you just how much energy you can regenerate using the e-pedal.
Using the pedal, drivers regenerate an average of 744kWh of clean energy driving around 18000km per year.
That's around 20% of your household power consumption for the year! Pretty impressive!

TESLA BECOMES WORLD'S LARGEST EV AUTOMAKER, SURPASSES CHINA'S BYD
Posted by Nadja Langeheine
Tesla has just become one of the largest manufacturers of electric cars in history, surpassing the Chinese-born firm BYD This milestone has been possible, thanks to the success of the Model 3.
In October 2018, Tesla delivered a total of 807,954 all-electric vehicles, while BYD has remained at 787,150 plug-in cars. It’s important to note that BYD’s total also includes plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sales while Tesla only makes all-electric vehicles.
Until now, BYD was tentatively expanding globally while its main market remained in China. On the other hand, Tesla has been taking over globally while tentatively working its way into the Chinese market and its protectionist regulations.
Now with Gigafactory 3 starting local production, Tesla is about to expand in the Chinese market in a big way.
It should make for an interesting second act of the Tesla-BYD rivalry.
