We are having a fantastic time on vacation. It's so nice getting a break from day to day life. Also, I think it's healthy to sit back and think from a distance. So, in the next 24 hours or so I'll be unfollowing a handful of people that I've decided are unhealthy for me. As I grow older I realize I don't need a lot of friends, and I especially don't need to surround myself with people that only pretend to be friends when face to face. Good people will prove they are good without you around. So instead of being negative, I hope maybe they will take a step back and think about how they treat people and how they affect others. In short, be confident in yourself and the people you deserve will fall in afterwards. Rant over, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season!!

Driving through the fog this morning on my way to rescue my husband from the side of the altamont because our car broke down, the fog cleared and the moon was so bright and beautiful! In the fog, all I could think was why can't we ever catch a break, right before christmas and a $150 tow. It's one thing after another! Then I see this bright beautiful moon in a clearing, I am in awe of nature and all its beauty. I know there is a God because something so beautiful just doesn't happen. So I start telling God that I really just cant take anymore I know he's up there watching us struggle and I need him to take a load off. Literally that second I get a phone call that a tow truck showed up and is going to tow us for free! The chp has a free tow program, just call 511, but we didn't know this and were immensely relieved to at least have the car towed free of charge. Storms come for all kinds of reasons, the reason for ours I'm still trying to figure out, but I know during our storm I will continue to be grateful for our blessings. #faith #adultingishard #begratefulforthesmallthings #familymattersmost #findthebeautyinnature #soulsearching #countrysidegospel

Because sometimes you get to the place that you realize that Christmas just causes you so much stress of trying to be perfect and make it perfect when you know you never will be..and that is OK! That instead of the 7 foot tree full of ornaments, the $20 3 foot live potted tree from Lowes covered with a Dollar Store pack of paper doilies you cut into snowflakes..2 years ago ..is still as joyful and less stressful to put up and down. You start Xing things off that list you used to feel you HAD to do..and feel free to actually enjoy. House still not "Holiday ready" but making daily improvements. My house will never be Instagram ready as it is generally cluttered with grandbaby toys, backpacks, more scattered shoes than feet in the house, incoming and outgoing shop inventory and 2 pooches but it is Home. I remember when I use to dream of being a mother one day and how I imagined all the things I would do and would not do with my child.At one point I remember feeling like I would always just be a aunt. At times I still stand in amazement that We was blessed with this beautiful treasure of ours. It’s true when they say Parenting don’t come with a guide book but We have learned so much in this year of raising Zhuri. This beautiful loved girl is so smart, very active,and have a great since of humor her little laugh is so cute& infectious. I can't explain how my heart feels when I look at this picture and others from my weekend away.
I tend to live in my own little world. The world of wife, mom, homeschool mom, friend, coach, fitness instructor.
I can have blinders on to the fact that the world is still going along at a pretty quick pace.
Mom and dad aren't getting any younger and I am very aware how blessed I am to still have them around.
I just wish they weren't 1000 miles away.

Personally I can't decide whether Heath or Livvy is my favorite transformation from last year to this year. Where did my babies go, they have all grown so much in just a year!?! Livvy was totally committed this year instead of last year being terrified, all the way down to running into Santa's arms as soon as she saw him. She very specifically told him she wanted headphones and a baby doll, waited, and then got rather upset when he didn't produce them immediately lol. Heath looks even more like the big guy than last year haha. Maci wanted to be in the picture but played off her mortification when she actually had to sit on his lap. And Addy of course was born ready for her close up.

We have a modest sized home.

I hung this message when we first moved into our home. This reminds me to be content with what God has bestowed upon our family.

We strive to be good stewards with what God blesses us with in our family.

We want to honor Him with His riches.
.
And I want to honor my husband. Not expressing gratitude for all he provides for us, is not edifying to him or our marriage.

Would I like a larger home? Eventually.
.
Why? I love space and lots of light! (I’m a little claustrophobic. 😜). And I would like more room to have more family come and stay. ❤️

I’ve had a great mind shift this year. It’s taken a LONG time to come to fruition. And it’s still a work in progress. .
I have found when I’m not content, things don’t fix that feeling. They are just a bandaid for the issue. They never really fill that “void”. .
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:6,”But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
.
This verse reminds me that life isn’t about things, but people and relationships. .
At the end of our days, will we be focused on our things or people? What truly brings happiness and joy to our lives?

Moments spent with our loved ones or material things?
.
So today as I vacuum my house, I’m happy that it only takes me ten minutes, and that gives me more time with my son. 😍

Out Christmas 🎄 shopping🛍 for loved ones? Lucille is reminding me we should buy a few little things!! Make this Christmas about the BIG things that matter most!! Like making memories with your loved ones and spending time with them. I’m talking about real quality time! As in put your phones down unless you’re taking pictures. We didn’t have smart phones and social media when I was raising my first set of children. So raising Lucille with my wife as a second go around, is making me look at things completely different. When you’re drawing your last breath at the end of your life, all that you will have in your heart and in your mind and with your family and loved ones is your memories of the time you spent with them.

Gosh... so many things I want to talk about. Most of them, I'm just not ready to cover, or I feel that I am not allowed. I'll get over it or I won't.
Let's talk about how great it is to be here... from my perspective.

My Aunt passed last week. As did someone else close to many people who are indescribably important to me. There's one more I wont even detail, but people dont come here to be sad. So, lets talk about how great it is to ride the arrow of time.
You know, great, amazing people enter our lives, more so than not. Sometimes we get the opportunity to express what they mean to us and sometimes we don't. Personally, I've never once felt like I've covered everything with someone I've both loved and lost. I think it is supposed to be that way. Now, I dont have a specific name or descriptor for who/whatever created this material (possibly digital) world... and I don't care to know... more than I do already, that is. I'm not here to argue that anyway. What I want to say, is that whoever came up with this - everything - within which we exist - well, they/it are the most amazingly creative 'energy' - we'll call it - that I can imagine. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity.

Today’s affirmation in my workout was “I AM READY” which I loved. Not only did it help me be ready to take on a new challenge today for my workout, but I carried that through work and focused on being ready to take on whatever happened in the day. Projects, emails, etc - I definitely had an intention for the day!

whatever you want to call it. however you want to look at it. these days, having a second income is not only smart. it’s very much needed. i don’t know about you, but I’m not set for life. i have no idea if my job stability will be around forever, (or my husbands). and working two jobs is hard.
but what if you could work a hour a day, in between car pools, on your lunch break, when the kids go to bed... wherever time allows?
what if it was risk free? you could start or stop whenever you need or want? no overhead. no requirements, you determine how and when you work.
here’s what I know. i never want to not have control of my life, my job, and my finances. for me, this means adding an extra income ‘Incase’. i never want to be stuck at a job that i hate or doesn’t fulfill me. or go back to working weekends or holidays again. my time with my family is precious, and I know yours is too.

this month is the last month to partner with me and lock in a potential to earning 1 profit share in the company. money that is paid quarterly to those that at qualify. it’s also a month where double bonuses are happening that everyone can earn.

We took a little wall that needed a little love and made it a family matter.
I hope this post inspires the very beginneriest of beginners because that’s exactly what we are. As said in my post right before Thanksgiving, we hardly own any tools at all, but Stace made do with what he have and I love the end result!
There are certain children in my home who enjoy helping more than others, but there is no question as to the fact that Harrison will always be right there by your side any time you need a hand— and often he will inject himself into the project even when you don’t need a hand. 😉 I love that about him.😌

Last weekend I got these little trees from the $3 section at Target and made a Christmas tree farm on our table, as one does.💁🏼♀️🌲 .
I have come to love this house so much by adding our own touches in the few months that we’ve been here. It is so fun to dream up ideas for certain areas and figure out a way to make them happen! .
Now, which project to start planning for next.🤔🥰

With today being #givingtuesday you might saying to yourself, I can’t afford to give.
Giving isn’t about what monetary value you can provide.
Give a smile. Give a thank you. Give your time. Give of oneself.
Giving is about being grateful for everything you have, the good and bad, the small and large.
This morning, I paused and took in the sounds, sights, smells, and feels of my surroundings, and my heart swells. I am alive, and today is a gift.
My focus is interrupted by the sound of the heat turning on. Outside, the wind rustles the branches as they tap on my window, the soft glow of my Christmas tree and the smell of my morning espresso brewing. I am blessed.
I am grateful to have a computer that connects me to everyone, allowing me to work at my convenience anywhere in the world. A warm home that protects me from the wind and cold while admiring God’s gifts from inside. The Christmas tree is a reminder of the “reason for the season” and the birth of my savior, Jesus Christ, and the coffee is the fuel that revs the engine (me) to carry out my daily mission and purpose.
Pause a moment and take in your surroundings, be aware of what’s going on in and around you. And be grateful, for you, for them, for others. Without it all, life would be lonely and boring.
The people and things we take for granted, or annoy us are reminders of how much we have, and how much we’re loved.
When we are grateful, the world becomes alive and takes on a new perspective. Perspective. changes. everything!
When we are grateful, our “problems” become smaller, and our lives become fuller.
What we focus on is what we see, what we get, what we experience--gratitude changed my life.
Gratitude is a choice. Whichever and however you choose will determine your life.
For me, I choose to be grateful, to be happy, to give, to love, to live my best life.

The Holidays are here! I’m loving my #timehop right now. I love seeing our family change from year to year. It’s also a reminder that while it can be the most wonderful time of year, it can also be stressful! Whether it’s attending countless holiday parties or making your home a winter wonderland, the demanding holiday season can wear you out! There are several ways to minimize stress so you can enjoy this festive time of the year. Here are some tips to help keep your holiday stress levels to a minimum:
Plan your shopping. Organize your shopping strategically by setting a budget, writing down your gift list, and determining the stores you plan to visit to do your shopping online or in person. Take a day off or get to the stores when they first open to avoid the crowds.
Invest in yourself. The more you have to manage on your to-do list, the more important it is to take time for yourself so you can approach your tasks with presence and positivity. Give yourself an early present by dedicating time to your favorite activity or treating yourself to a massage at the spa.
Choose quality over quantity. Keeping up with traditions and planning holiday activities are fun, but can be overwhelming. We can also go overboard while trying to make everything perfect. Spending quality time with loved ones is most important, so don’t stress if you can’t host an event or if you don’t get around to sending out holiday cards this year.
Know your limits. If you are overwhelmed with extra chores or tasks this holiday season, pull in others to help. Prioritize which items need your attention first, and if certain tasks can wait, place them on the back burner and revisit them when the holiday hustle and bustle begins to settle.
Take a mindful break. If you’re feeling symptoms of stress or anxiety, or if you want to set the stage for an optimal day, stop and take a quick relaxation break. Try a breathing exercise or take a quick walk to calm and center yourself.
