"Life can be very short, so if you have someone in your life that you love deeply, keep loving them and do not let them go. Love is precious and when we find it we must treat it as such. Don't take it for granted and always express gratitude for the love you've found."
I could never imagine myself being a father, not even a husband until the day you came into my life and became my wife the best mother for my child.Thank you my love ❤️.
You are the most rare and beautiful flower on this planet and I’m the luckiest man who have you in my arms. My love for you, my wife, will always shine bright ❤️❤️❤️...JESU LOBA 🙏🙏🙏 #marriage#love#myworld
This week truly put me through the wringer. It felt like the week that could break me and made me even consider throwing in the towel. But at the end of each day, there was this guy, pulling me away from the laptop, taking my phone out of my hands, and looking into my eyes to bring me back to earth. I’m so deeply honored to have married a man who is such a grounding presence in my life and who provides balance when I’m not able to. I’ve been fiercely independent for most of my life, so opening myself to this hasn’t always been easy. But this week taught me just how damn necessary it is.
Happy Saturday, friends ❤️

Already missing aspen leaves on their branches which isn’t a good sign for the long months ahead 😫
Also, friends. I just don’t have the heart for this app these days! Y’all are so beautiful and I love sharing your photos, but I get bogged down by all the algorithms and analytics and performance and engagement. I’m going to do my best to put those numbers aside and focus on you and how much I adore what I do: capturing unique and vibrant love stories, the mountaintops and the valleys. Thanks for sticking with me 🙏🏻
Anytime I have a religious bride and groom who are getting married, I immediately ask where the ceremony will be and try to recall if I've shot a wedding there before. The reason is simple, really. Most church weddings tend to follow the same formula and, if you're trying to be creative, sometimes your options are limited by where you're shooting.
For Dennis and Amber's September wedding, which is the subject of my latest blog, the church couldn't have been a cooler spot to work with. Dennis and Amber said “I do” at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Warwick and I loved this venue for so many reasons, not the least of which is how close it is to my house.
With a giant stained-glass window right behind the altar and a number of small, intimate rooms for brides and grooms to get ready before their ceremony, Pilgrim Lutheran Church was the perfect spot for Dennis and Amber. Not only was it a great spot to shoot all the fun moments we had planned before their ceremony – like their first touch and their exchange of letters – it was lit near perfectly and provided a great site to see for one of my favorite ceremonies of the year.
You can see a few of my favorite photos from Dennis and Amber's wedding ceremony above but, to check out their full wedding and see my thoughts about the day as a whole, head over to my latest blog by visiting https://tinyurl.com/PJS-DennisAndAmber (Link in bio.) As always, thanks for reading and be sure to let me know what you think!
Normally my second shooter is on the other side of the camera. I guess I am lucky it’s handy that she can step in front of the camera for some studio work. Model @carolineanneyoga beautiful wedding dresses @poshfrocksandweddingbelles
Nick and Stephanie’s wedding day was beautiful in every way. All of the good things were packed into one incredibleday. What an honor it was to be such a small part of their story! .
And can we just talk about her flowers from @pattyspetalsgodfrey?! They are just gorgeous and have the perfect fall colors! Double tap if you are like me and just LOVE a good bouquet! 😍😍😍 #laurentbride#laurentphotographystl#southernillinoiswedding

On this episode of #funnystoryfriday .... I thought I would share the time I broke my toe at a wedding which resulted in me elbowing my husband in the face 😅 😬
I was shooting a wedding at a distillery in Kentucky when my foot slipped off this concrete ravine thing in the middle of couple photos. In the process of me falling, my foot took a nose dive and took the brunt of the force when I fell. I promise you don’t want to know all the gross details of how bad my foot was, but LUCKILY I had a fantastic second shooter who could take over the couple photos while I went to cry and tend to my foot.
At the time, I didn’t realize my toe was broken. I did however realize it was broken two nights later when my husband was trying so intentionally to get back into bed at 2am after he went to the bathroom. Unfortunately, the exact same place he put his knee down on the bed was my poor broken toe. So when said knee landed on said broken toe, I sat up so fast and TOOK OUT MY HUSBAND WITH MY ELBOW. He hit the bed so hard and didn’t move after I accidentally hit him, I thought I had killed him. Apparently I had just stunned him and also made his lip bleed. If my toe wasn’t broken before then, it was definitely broken now. 😳
I’m just so thankful that toes can heal and that I didn’t accidentally kill my husband with my elbow. 😅
It’s busy and loud in the Butler household today. My boys woke up ready to rumble and have been the most joyful type of loud I’ve ever heard and to be honest I am ready for nap because, well, silence.
I swear my ears and sense of hearing are heightened because I’m blind as a bat and the constant loud makes me want to hide in a corner. My two year old is a joyful screamer and I’m hoping that my breaks with time and a lot of “that’s too loud” and “inside voices”
In other (quieter) news, my sister’s due date is tomorrow and I think their little one is just comfy and cozy in there. Maybe he knows aunty Corrie is available to visit closer to the 25th of October 😂 Regardless I can’t wait (and still can’t believe) we’re adding another boy to the crew!
Just a bunch of boys and noise! I’ll take it! 💙💙💙 anyone else urging for inside voices today?
