"Happiness always looks small while you hold it in your hands, but let it go, and you learn at once how big and precious it is."
— Maxim Gorky (The Lower Depths and Other Plays)
Extremely tight depth of field creates a creamy bokeh that is sometimes like a pastel drawing. I love it when it works.

The perfect place for a campfire 😍

I love going and seeing waterfalls, but I really dont enjoy photographing them. I always feel rushed and keep adjusting tripod legs, camera settings, vertical or horizontal, etc. and after about 45 minutes, I have like 2 good images 😂
I love to move around quickly and I dont think this is either a good thing or bad, but it's just how I roll. Whichever way its done, it's always important to appreciate the experience and enjoy moments like this!
Throwback post! Today I reserved some time to go trough my picture collection and I have found this frame shot this summer in Howth! Hope you enjoy!

Winter two years ago, also in January. .
To styczeń 2018.
I'm very excited to soon be back in Torridon for my 7th and 8th residential workshops. That'll make it approximately 12 weeks that I've spent in the area. That's nothing compared to the time I've invested in my local patch, but it's plenty of experience and location knowledge which counts for a lot when leading a group. There's much to learn from every visit and I also try to explore and discover somewhere new - keeping it fresh and evolving. An intimate knowledge of my favourite local spots has had a hugely positive impact on my work, so I try to adopt the same approach with distant locations over a longer period of time. Of course I'd also love to slowly get to know other locations but a continued investment in Torridon seems to make perfect sense for my own development & connection and sharing that with workshop participants. Will we get snow like this in February? Well, it's been a very bland winter so far, but perhaps we'll get lucky :-). This is probably my favourite Scots pine and one that I always look forward to revisiting since finding it 2 years ago.
