👇🏻 #water#instadaily#river#flooding#namen#rainyday
In true Buffalo fashion, the weather dropped four inches or more of snow, only to gift us with warm temperatures the next day. All that melted snow plus the rain have to go somewhere. Odds are, it's going to end up in your basement.
If you don't currently have a sump pump installed or your current sump pump is malfunctioning, be proactive to protect against water damage and call The Plumber. We offer sump pump installation, repair, and maintenance to keep home safe and dry.
Goosefare Brook is fully engorged. Just a tiny Brook on any normal given day. Today, I have river-front property. Flash floods warnings in our area. Well over 3" of rain and counting. Heavy rain continues. #MEwx#rain#flooding
Do you like to catch snowflakes with your tongue?
Snow is a great source of freshwater. In fact around 75% of all Earth’s freshwater is found in snow and ice such as glaciers.
While snow is an awesome source of freshwater, if it melts too quickly it could lead to flooding.

See that black spot under the white wash. It was dark and I couldn't be certain but I thought it looked like an inner tube or tire, but I had to be sure it wasn't a body or some shit. Took a couple long exposures and never got anything definitive except for it wasn't a human shape and therefore I wouldn't have to call the pohpoh. So, all things considered a good day.... #flooding#hawriver#longexposure#nightphotography#longexposurephotography#nikon#nikkor
Trees are amazing! They collect and filter rainwater releasing it slowly into streams and rivers, and are the most effective land cover for maintaining water quality. Help us to plant more trees in the Forest of Marston Vale by texting ACORN to 70085 to donate £3.
Photo by Michael Yamashita @yamashitaphoto | For the third time in less than a week, Venice has experienced monumental acqua alta (Italian for high water). The city’s most revered historical sites have been submerged under the worst flooding in half a century. A state of emergency was declared late last week and St. Mark’s Square was also closed. Pictured here is the square in 1993, during what was considered normal acqua alta when the water was only ankle-deep. #acquaalta#Venice#piazzasanmarco#flooding#veniceitaly
Sad times for Venice: This year has brought the worst flooding in half a century, with over six feet of water submerging the city’s most revered historical sites. A state of emergency was declared late last week, and St Mark’s Square was also closed, as Venice deals with its 3rd wave of flooding in a week. Pictured here is the square in better times.
