Posted @withrepost • @sixpmfooddiary Bub’s special : Japanese curry with furikake sushi and baked walnut and almond meal coated prawn / 日式咖喱 + 柴鱼松寿司 + 核桃杏仁粉烘烤虾🍛🍤
I’m a fan of Japanese food, I used to learn Japanese language for 5-6 years because of my love for its culture and food 🤭 (till I digress and went to study Korean language, haha) So today I tried introducing Japanese curry powder, walnut and prawn (again) to the bub and it’s a success! He even used his hands to scoop the curry, oh my little champ 🤪🥳 热爱日本文化和料理的我曾经读了5-6年的日文。我要将这份爱要传达给bb 哈哈哈哈 今天的日式咖喱 他很喜欢 有待进步！
Recipe for Japanese curry 🍛
Selection of veggies & meat : minced onion, carrot, potato, tomato (skin and seeds removed), pumpkin (not in pic) and broccoli. Minced chicken or other preferred meat (I served with prawn today so I didn’t add meat).
Seasoning: s&b curry powder, @liloikanbilis powder, corn flour to thicken the sauce
☆ Put in @grove.avocado.oil oil, stir fry minced onion to translucent. Then add and stir fry minced meat for a bit and add in the veggies except broccoli.
♪ Stir fry all ingredients together, add in water to cover the ingredients and boil for 15-20minutes
→ Add in 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder or fine tune to your liking, heaped teaspoon of @liloikanbilis powder, taste to season again. Add in corn flour (mix with water about 1:2 ratio), stir to thicken and add in broccoli.
○ Cook the broccoli to the crunchiness of your liking and serve with rice!

I am making a concerted effort to bring pasta Wednesday back!!! ❤️ this week, crispy lemon salmon with parsley on top of onion cream sauce linguine! I let the onions just simmer on low for about an hour until they were soooooooo broken down and yummy. I’ll def be making this sauce again. 🍋🍝🧀 I’ve missed this...feels good to be back. ❤️

Finally made my way to try Filistix for the first time and let me tell ya, I was AMAZED. Yes for more #filipinofood this week! Every item here is creative and very well executed. This sizzlin sisig is an absolute must - grilled pig's head, onion, calamansi, thai chili, & an egg. I'd have to come back for brunch, lunch, and dinner again to try everything! 🤤🇵🇭
It’s Fall y’all... except it definitely doesn’t feel like it down here in the sunshine state. We saw record highs in FL, got to a heat index of close to 100°, so even though we want SOOOOOO bad to get cozy with a cup of hot chocolate, we might legitimately melt. But viola, a solution!!!! Hot chocolate cupcake 🧁🧁🧁 added some cocoa into the mix, got a marshmallow buttercream on the top, you get the flavors of coziness minus the sweat! I haven’t tried it yet and I’m taking it to my coworkers tomorrow, so we’ll see how they turn out tomorrow. If they’re nice, I might just make these to compliment my hot chocolate when it finally does cool down. Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate on chocolate 🤤🤤🤤🤤 check out the story to see how these guys were made 👆👆
Goats Cheese & Spinach Pasta 🤤 Oh my days this recipe was so tasty, I had some goats cheese left over in my fridge so ended up coming up with this simple dish. Made using 200g rigatoni pasta, 150g soft goats cheese, some frozen spinach, 1 tbsp of soft cheese, 1 crushed garlic clove, salt and pepper 🍃 I cooked the pasta in some vegetable stock, then gently fried the garlic, spinach and goats cheese on low, add the pasta and some of the stock with the soft cheese. Mix together and add some extra parmesan once served. As simple as that, could of done with some garlic bread on the side but didn’t have any 😭- #goatscheesepasta#carbs
