It's been a while I did not post here!
So many things going one. A lot of project in mind and a lot of paper scatter on my desk! Yes I know today there is Google Drive to take notes, although I start gradually but I still have trouble not write my ideas.
Here is my struggle of the day that I try to solve in a pragmatic way : "Stuck for what to say on social media"
Staring at a blank piece of paper as you plan your posts can be very daunting (I know, I’am there!). But once you get started the momentum builds and you’ll find the content and conversation start happening naturally. So, here is how I would start the conversation
I Keep in mind when I plan my posts that the goal of my content on social media is to get people interacting and start conversations. We are here to socialize right ?
1. Fun Stuff!
Most people are on social media for a bit of light relief and we all love a funny quote or picture. ( The today stories of @joyproctor was so good to see, she made my day! ) I think we need to make our journey more fun.
2. Third party links
You don’t have to write all your posts or create content from scratch every time. Quite often there is really good content being shared on social media which your fans will appreciate seeing. Make sure you LIKE the pages you follow and you’ll receive updates from those pages in your newsfeed. My favourite pages to follow are those of influencers in my niche. As you learn from them you can share their great content and ideas with your followers. It’s a win win!
You’ll get brownie points for sharing and like’ing their content, so you’ll get noticed by the people you’re aspiring to be like. Plus, you’re providing great content to your fans without having to create anything. This tip help a lot in stories.
Destination weddings - It’s for many people something they’ve been dreaming of for months or years... but it might bring worries along too.
Best thing to do in case of a destination wedding is finding yourself a good wedding planner who has already some experience in your area.
If budgets don’t allow hiring a planner (just keep in mind that they can save money too by selecting good vendors!), there are some small things to keep in mind:
- give yourself the luxury of arriving a few days early, nothing worse than stressing and rushing into things
- always have a plan b for bad weather, it can happen everywhere!
- help yourself and your vendors by having a list with all details of all vendors
- bring your dress and grooms attire in carry-on luggage... you don’t want that to get lost!
- have at least one local vendor or assistant. In case of trouble, locals can help you out better without language barrier .
Hope this helps you a bit building your dream day!
Who else is not feeling ready for fall?
I’m not a pumpkin spice latte fan, and I’d take an ice tea over a warm chai all year long. I love watermelon and the smell of coconut everything. I love the warm sun on my skin and the colors of summer sunsets.
This table, from @kitkat_la and Peter’s wedding designed by @lamourevent with gorgeous flowers by @cityflowerla is the perfect example of nostalgic, beautiful end of summer evenings.
