And maybe a couple of episodes of The Eventful Life TV to go with it! 😆❤️
Happy Holidays Mamas! I hope you all are basking in all the wonderful reasons this particular time of the year enhances like thankfulness, a giving heart, and a grateful spirit for the gift of life instead of the busyness to get “all the things done.”
I am extremely grateful for all of you and with the first quarter in the books of The Eventful Life TV I’m also grateful for the amazingly courageous and talented mompreneurs I’ve been able to connect with, share time with and those who have entrusted me to tell their stories! Which is why this week instead of a new episode I wanted to check in with you. My sole purpose in creating The Eventful Life TV series is to create a space where mamas, mompreneurs, women in biz can feel comfortable or even uncomfortable talking about the challenges that are specific to us. It’s to challenge the things you think about as well as things you’ve never thought about.
I’m also giving you a peak into what’s to come in 2020 for The Eventful Life TV and Blog (launching at the beginning of the year 🙌🏾) and a very special Christmas Episode I’ll be releasing with a mompreneur who is a LEGEND!! So that means I need to hear from you!
Have you had the chance to watch an episode yet?
What topics have been discussed that have made you see yourself? Challenge your thoughts?
Which episode has been your fave so far?
Come on y’all and spill the tea! *insert my Kermit the Frog 🐸 meme sipping tea 🍵 *
It’s LIVE and I can’t wait to hear from you!

Awesome News! We have officially sold enough of these new Runners Doing Good wristbands to cover our costs. That means that every dime from the rest of our bands will go exclusively towards our start-up costs. ⠀
The plan is to officially organize RDG as a non-profit so that we can continue to build upon the success that @gaber80 and the crew of @runninnotwalken have had since 2015, which was considerable. During the last, nearly 5 years, they've raised just short of $25,000 for #FortWayne area charities.⠀
By re-branding RNW to Runners Doing Good and merging aspects of the two, we're better on a newer, more positive name, that more appropriately indicates who we are and what we're about, and quite frankly it's also a bet on ourselves. ⠀
If we can raise nearly $25,000 with a name that limits our abilities, what could we do with a name and brand that can generate streams of revenue that can aid in the team's operation from the paying of expenses to the boosting of fundraising efforts for great local charities.⠀
It's an exciting day and an important step. More steps are to be taken but this was a good one. If you'd like to purchase one to help the cause, please visit the RDG store link in our bio.⠀
Did your Elf arrive safely?? 🎄 I had several friends that had trouble locating their little rascal. These 2 Scout Elves welcomed their kids home in style! Kids are happy, elves are happy, hopefully mom & dad keep their sanity... 🤪🤯😂
Tuesday December 10th from 5-9pm I’ll be at @ht2fortwayne for my final booth before Christmas. Come out and check out my booth and other boutiques and enjoy a cocktail made by the awesome HT2 staff.
Should I do another giveaway?
Hydrated under eyes make all the difference when you want to look fresh faced and youthful. Under eye skin is very thin and can look dry or heavy very quickly. Layering concealer and powder can dry out the under eye area and enhance any fine lines or wrinkles. Having a perfectly prepped face will ensure your makeup looks great all day and your best features are enhanced.
SO....stepping way out of the comfort zone here with some big news. The running team will officially be branded as Runners Doing Good!
Since January of 2015, we've raised nearly $25,000, all using the fun, and often popular Runnin Not Walken team name and logo at the 5 @ragnarrelay races we've run in for our t-shirts & magnets that we gave out to fellow runners. I'm so incredibly proud of what the team has been able to accomplish, but further success at this level & beyond is limited by using someone else's name and likeness.
So while this is a bit of a risk, it's also a bet on ourselves but I truly feel there's more to do and that to achieve that, we're going to dare greatly to push this even further.
I have 2 people to thank/blame :-) for that. First, this year, @andrewdewey, through his leadership of @neighborlinkfw, showed what it is truly like to lead with passion and a focused mission to look outwardly to find those that need help. The success that NLFW has in doing just that on a daily basis is inspirational and a direct result of his leadership. I love everything about what NLFW does and If I get this off the ground, my commitment is to ALWAYS do something to benefit them.
Secondly, @tagreen60. Tim has supported our team so generously and while his financial gifts to our causes have been incredibly impactful in our campaigns, it's his caring, his belief in what we do, his encouragement to reach higher, and his own example of how to actively look outward towards others for ways to help that have inspired me most. We'll continue to do our best to look for runners doing good out there just as he does.
There's a lot more details on what this change will look like but the first is that we've got merch!
All proceeds of the sales of these wristbands will help to seed the start up of the team being a formalized entity as well as some of the costs of participating in our next big event. Please visit the link in my profile to purchase one today!
“The women I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because shit worked out. They got that way because shit went wrong and they handled it. They handled it a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheroes.” - Elizabeth Gilbert
I feel so lucky to have such strong woman in my life who don’t fall victim to the shit they’re in. Do you ever feel like it’s hard to prove that you’re not your trauma? What about the story that comes next? The bad ass babes who evolve from life’s hardships, they’re my inspiration. You feel me?
