Our train to Oxford is leaving soon! On March 7th, we will be at the @oxfordcentre for the Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Forum 2020.
The theme of OSEF 2020 is 'Space and beyond' and will feature provocative thinkers and challenger entrepreneurs that are on a fascinating journey to change the world as we know it!
Our CEO and founder, Lisa Lang, is one of the speakers and will be joining the participants during the whole day to share her knowledge and learn at one of the most prestigious and oldest universities in the world.
The Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Forum (OSEF) is a one-day conference held annually by the Saïd Business School to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
Things that excite me these days.
A fish scale under the microscope. Beautiful, right? I believe there are answers, beauty, and miracles in nature. Learning from it, appreciating it, and giving back to nature is how we can see the future.

Holla Self taught leather maker over here since 2015’
Yes that’s right I literally taught myself how to make a leather jacket from scratch from an old jacket of my own and a sample of leather I found - the rest was history.
By no way has it been easy because each leather I’ve worked with has been completely different to sew and I’ve have to keep to learning how to handle it.
When I first started I used PU leather because that’s all I could afford and they weren’t perfect at all, then I got commissioned to make a real leather jacket... sweating yes I was but I made it happen because I knew working with real leather was my main goal and I did it.
Now all of my product are made from real leather mainly sourced from @ghleathers
And this new collection well I’ve just upgraded again to some premium leather because your worth it babes
Check out my stories to see behind the scenes of me working with it.
Ram Sareen questions whether customers care more about fast shipping than they do about the environment or work conditions within the supply chain (from factories to fulfillment companies). Trent MacLean (COO, MISA Los Angeles) describes the dangers facing fast fashion companies in the future.🎙TUKATALKS is the show where fashion industry experts share real-world knowledge gained through hands-on experience.

@underagestudio told a story of the future of our planet through their show. It has to be said its not a good vision of the future. What would future stars of fashion tell us if they were to travel back in time??

Wanna build ur fashion empire with MORE success & LESS stress? Create these 5 plans👇🏻
So ur ready to hit the button & turn ur fashion empire dreams into a reality? Make sure u crunch your numbers & got clear on ALL costs involved to make ur business happen first. Consider every last expense, what roles u can take on urself/ what to outsource,& if u can generate enough profit to drive & sustain positive cash flow! If it all looks manageable, ur good to go🤑
Wanna know how to build a fashion empire that stands the test of time? Create a range plan before design & product development, duh! Know when ur going to drop, how often, how much $$$ u have to spend, how many options, how much depth to cater to demand & sell through, manufacturing, price & delivery expectations, what’s the plan after this product/collection to maintain sales & hype…? Follow this & watch that empire grow😉
Online, bricks & mortar, wholesale, drop-ship, retail collabs, pop-ups... The distribution world really is ur oyster 🦪 Research the risks involved, feel confident it aligns with ur brand personality, and absolutely reaches/serves your ideal customer💁🏼♀️
Ever launched product & wondered why u haven’t had any sales? My guess is u probably didn’t create a marketing plan😱Separate to ur marketing strategy, a marketing plan specifically drives awareness & sales around new collections/product. Consistently implement it across all of ur marketing channels & remember that once u have launched, sales organically drop off, so u need a post plan full of UGC, reviews, new imagery etc, to maintain the HYPE & sustain that profit🔥
AKA ur marketing strategy’s best friend💕Once u nail ur marketing strat, u need to plan what content will make ur brand personality hit home, attract/connect with ur ideal customer, push them through ur sales funnel and drive ur call to actions & goals, eg. SALES. The aim of the game is to strategically attract & engage different customers at different stages of ur sales funnel & keep them fo’ life♥️so make sure u put out a variety of content to do this at all times!

Moda Operandi curates leading and emerging designers from around the world, bringing the best of their in-season assortment and the entirety of their next season collections to a global audience.
We make it easy for designers to grow their business and consumers to realize their personal style.
WHERE BOLD FASHION & TECHNOLOGY MEET
Moda Operandi was co-founded by Lauren Santo Domingo in 2010 to empower people through exceptional design and fashion.
As a former Vogue editor, she noticed a disconnect between the bold, expressive fashion from the runways and what she saw in stores.
It was an honour and a pleasure to speak @young.indians annual event today and to share my views on the Future of Fashion. Head over to their live stories from today to get a feel at what the event was all about, the speakers in the day and maybe it would be just as inspiring for you, as it was for me to listen to the diverse speakers who spoke on some really interesting and varied topics.
Sometimes I feel it’s so important to have conversations on fashion outside of the main fashion ecosystems, to be able to co create the futures that we want!
