Possibly my favorite invitation photo to date. 😍 The simplicity of the invitation itself, the hydrangea petals, the ribbon, the texture... I love it. 👌🏽 More sneak peeks from Sean & Annie’s special day are in my stories! xx
Excited to show you George & Harry's East Quay Venue wedding from last month! It's new on my blog and linked from my profile. I've loved my weddings in Whitstable this year and this couple were brilliant. Harry said... "It really was like having one of our good friends at our wedding, who just so happened to be awesome at photography!! We got home from honeymoon and said to ourselves that we would just watch the slideshow and then go to bed. Well, we watched the slideshow 3 times and all the photos twice!! Every photo we looked at I said, “this is one of my favourite ones” lol!! We couldn’t be happier! xx”
Congratulations to Hester & Joe who got married yesterday at the stunning @swintonestate in North Yorkshire. Here is one from the end of the day when Hester & Joe got a little first dance practice in :) What an Epic day with 2 Chinese tea ceremonies and a wedding ceremony. Was a real pleasure to capture their day with amazing family and friends. Look out for more previews soon.
Am back in my home town showcasing my wedding cakes for the first time at the wedding fayre held at @priorpark_college in the beautiful city of Bath on the 27th October. Why not come and say hello and try some of my delicious cake 😍

Ben and I met at youth group in 2003 and have known each other for over half our lives. Just over three years ago, Ben moved halfway across the country just for the chance to ~possibly~ date me. He packed up his entire life in Saskatchewan and drove a uhaul to Vancouver, and a week later asked me to be his girlfriend. On Sunday he took me to a lovely little spot at his family cottage where he spent many summers growing up and asked me to be his wife. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together 🥰
Do you need to send a Save the Date? (Or STD as my brain hilariously shortens it to. Let’s stick with SvTD instead? 😂😬). Controversially you’ll often find me trying to convince you that you don’t. Don’t get me wrong- they serve a brilliant purpose and I still make and send a lot, but if you’re getting married in 9 months, it’s very likely i’ll suggest we fly straight into the invitation- let’s be honest, you’ve already very likely told everyone what your wedding date is too!
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Instagram.
Something that worked so well for me for so long, came to a grinding halt earlier in the year (along with everyone else) when Instagram changed whatever the secret sauce recipe was that meant someone, anyone, will see what you’re making.
It made me reassess the way that I do things. I’ve talked about it before, but Instagram for me is a place for me to share what I’m working on, and my love for all things calligraphy/paper based. I’ve gone back to how I started, sharing what I love- and being social about it. I’ve ‘met’ so many awesome people via insta in the last four years, which in it’s essence is the whole point of it.
This morning I woke up to see I had 30,000 followers. And this is incredible- I’m so thankful that people actually want to look at what I make and don’t get bored of my frequent brain rambles in tiny squares and stories. But in my constant effort to ‘keep it real’ I wanted to share what this *actually* meant.
A friend sent me a link to a news article last week that said ASA standards have now classified anyone who had 30k followers as a ‘celebrity’ when it comes to advertising etc. First of all 😂😂😂. Second of all 😳. (I’m going to communicate via emojis just now). I have a lot to say on this which I will another time (mostly about ‘social influencers’ which I most certainly am not), but ultimately, Instagram followers do not maketh the person. Remember this. I am thankful that people want to see what I do, every day I am thankful.
Instagram is not real life. I don’t have 30,000 clients. I don’t have millions of pounds in the bank (or let’s face it, thousands 😂). I just make stuff with paper and take semi decent photos of it. And like to help other people be a bit more organised with my robot brain.
