As this year I am trying to focus on mindfulness it is helping me to live and feel the present moment 💛 The current book @themindfulkind which I am reading also have helped me to understand the real meaning of mindfulness and how to enjoy the present time 😊. The author @rachaelkable explain mindfulness in very simple way like : feeling the warmth in your hand while having the cup of tea/coffee ☕️ , feeling the breeze in your skin while in the nature 🌳 , noticing different colours in your day to day life while commuting to your work place🟡🔵🟣🟢 , sense the aroma of spices while cooking 🍳, notice something different in your day to day routine ✨🌈etc.

And I’ll be honest, I worried about how I would pull this off. Traveling alone with 4 kids isn’t for the faint of heart. But I don’t want it either (yes, I am stubborn). I know I can do this...but sometimes you have to take a jump, that proverbial leap of faith, to achieve your goals
I took that tiny leap in January. And I used that income, what I made in January to pull off some extra special treats for the kiddos...and I am not done yet 😉😉

Have you, like most of the world, chosen to avoid the fear of the unknown and remain in suffering that is familiar❓Isn’t the reality to most people that they default to what they perceive to be the least risky, the safest option pretty much every time❓Their focus is almost entirely on the avoidance of pain or loss and almost never on what they could gain. Their mental assessment is ‘If I don’t do anything I keep (don’t lose) what I already have. What do I risk losing if I do take action?’
They never ask ‘What do I have to GAIN if I take this risk? What will I learn from taking this action even if it doesn’t work out? How can I mitigate the possible risks from taking this action and still get most (or all) of the benefit?’

⛓Summer 2014 I prepped for 3 months for my first powerlifting meet. Now here I am not even a year into strongman 2 weeks out from my first Arnold. It doesn’t matter when or how you start or what anyone else is doing. It doesn’t matter how much easier or harder someone else had it. What matters to me is that I did everything I could to get to the place I said I would be. And holy shit I’m glad for it.
I am just beginning my strongman career. I have so much more time I want to put into it. This post is not about being accomplished...It’s about taking the step even when you’re scared and have doubts. I’m thanking that 23 year old girl who woke up from a panic attack before her first meet and still made herself do it. Day by day and one rep at a time.
