Hi I’m Ange, and I FUCKING LOVE Heartstopper.
I have been waiting for volume three for a while because I wanted to read it in physical copy rather than on my phone and it did not disappoint!
Ahhhhh just all the stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is just such a sweet series but it also has some super real moments that break your heart a little.
It’s about two boys and coming out in different ways and all the stuff that goes along with it. There’s also great friendships and a school trip to Paris 😊
It’s also great to see gay, lesbian, bi and trans rep in a comic.
. Side note: you can read this for free on the authors website!
What was the last book you were eagerly awaiting and was it everything you hoped for?
#grimdragon it’s seems to me that the best relationships, the ones that last, are the ones rooted in friendship

When all the children of the world die, their rotting corpses are resurrected by a parasite known as the Herod. The children are ravenous for blood, without which they decay further and go back to their deathly state. Faced with losing them forever and the demand for blood superceding its supply, parents must decide if they'll do whatever it takes to feed their children.
This book wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it was a book about children transformed into vampires by an apocalyptic event. But as it turned out it's about the complete social and moral breakdown of a society drowning in grief.
Even though the characters give into their worst instincts, you can't help but sympathize with them. The book was a solid 3 stars for me until the last 25% of the book. I wish the book had explored this part of the storyline more.
I wasn't blown away, but it was quick, enjoyable read.
Molly Hennessy lämnas ensam när hennes make David oväntat dör i hjärtinfarkt.

When I said “yes” to starting my first real program and “yes” to the coaching opportunity, I was scared to death! I am a perfectionist and failing is not an option..so you can understand why trying “new” things and getting out of my “comfort zone” would make me sweat a little!
I wish I could put into words how very thankful I am for this opportunity! I guess you can say, this has been a continuous therapy session for me because I have had to step out of my comfort zone (including this very instant) multiple times since starting..but guys..when I say life changing, I mean LIFE CHANGING!
I’ve found a love in health and fitness! The health part was always there, the fitness part not so much, but NOW..I gotta share that with you!! You need this!!
A sustainable way to live your life..the “right” way..
I’ll share a little secret with you..I would not be sharing this opportunity to take control of your life..IF it didn’t work! I promise! So much more to this than just a workout and a meal plan!
𝐒𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐞? Did you read this to the bottom and your like “gahhh I want that, but I just can’t right now” LISTEN TO ME SMALLS”...(had to baseball right around the corner!) You CAN do it..you CAN and all you have to do is say “YES” to that very question!

🌺Takeaway: hearts swooning for these lovebirds.
“Sometimes you just jump and hope it's not a cliff.”
In the beginning I felt so kilig! But don’t hate me: I lost interest quicker that a sure thing in a horse race. Time for an #unpopularopinion on a popular book.
This is a charming, stupid cute, feel good rom-com. I could picture how every scene would look if it were on screen; down to the cast members. Delightful and sweet, like snacking on a dessert tray, this is a novel for hopeless romantics. It was funny, heartwarming, everything is perfect, and full of that happily ever after.
Now for the cons. The book was loooooong. Maybe around 150 pages too long. The story drags around the middle and it was a struggle to pick it up and continue reading more juvenile love letters. I’m not a fan of sex scenes in novels either, but at least this one doesn’t get too graphic. There is also quite a lot of sexual language and swearing in the dialogue that irks me when used too frequently and casually; makes the characters seem too aggressive or maybe I’m just a prude.
Some people did not care for the political themes, but I would have rather liked it to play a more respectable and authoritative role in the book. I wish their actions had real political consequences and impact, but alas we get the predictable, boring, fairytale ending. I was a little surprised the author didn’t know DEFCON levels. Despite the characters being central to the most insane foreign political “affair” (yes puns!), civics had very little depth. I assumed the author had minimal knowledge or did not bother to do enough research - so it ended up reading like a cheap thematic story to fit erotica. The only reason this book doesn’t get a 1 star is because the lovebirds have a pretty healthy relationship, unlike protagonists in other popular romance novels.

All I’ve ever wanted was to marry for love.
But girls like me don’t have that luxury.
We are used as pawns in a game we can’t control.
The game? It’s called Mafia.
I was foolish enough to try to change the rules… and I lost.
She was promised to me years ago.
And he dared to take her from me.
Dared to touch what was mine.
I put an end to that.
I hope he’s enjoying the view from his dirt room.
My beloved’s killer placed a ruby ring on my finger and called me his queen.
But that red gem symbolizes something different for me.
It represents the blood shed by those I love most.
Hell was empty the day we wed.
Because the devil was standing before me and said “I do.” Luca—
I saw her as a possession.
A shiny toy I didn’t want other boys to play with.
But she’s so much more.
Beautiful and brave and strong and broken all at once.
She tastes like everything I’ve ever wanted.
Hidden and patient.
I wait for the perfect time to seek my revenge.
But slowly, I feel him possessing me.
His heart is full of darkness… and I still want every inch of him.
Hard as I try, I can’t escape loving this beautiful monster.
I’m waiting patiently because I already know that she’s mine.
Mine in a way that no one will ever understand.
Even if she hasn’t yet realized it.
For love, I’d do anything.
For her, I’d do everything.

. “Real danger is nothing more than just living. Of course, living is merely the chaos of existence, but more than that it's a crazy mixed-up business of dismantling existence instant by instant to the point where the original chaos is restored, and taking strength from the uncertainty and the fear that chaos brings to re-create existence instant by instant. You won't find another job as dangerous as that. There isn't any fear in existence itself, or any uncertainty, but living creates it.” - The Sailor who fell from Grace with the sea, Yukio Mishima
Books 7-10 of my 2020 Goodreads reading challenge (I've not read The Pale Horse yet as I'm currently reading A Murder is Announced) and, in an effort so save money, I've joined our local volunteer-run library! It's a brilliant library where the volunteers are so welcoming and helpful and it has been incredibly easy to reserve books so far.
I loved the Sarah Waters book 'Fingersmith' that a friend lent me - a fantastic story set in Victorian times (one of my favourites periods) about two girls brought up in very different homes. I was completely hooked all the way through; one of those books that you don't want to put down. I'll definitely be reading her other books!

This book had popped up in my Kindle suggested reads and I clicked to buy as soon as I read the title and saw the cover! I know we should never judge a book by its cover but I frequently find myself either drawn to or away from books purely by their covers. So far even by judging them this superficially I have rarely been disappointed. This book grips you from the beginning when a live in nanny is hired, we know from the beginning that the live in nanny has changed her identity and that the family do not know who is really living in their home. One child starts getting sick unexpectedly, another has an accident, the nanny seems to know how the father is betraying his wife's trust. It's a tangled web of intrigue that I enjoyed every page of. Just when I thought I had the nanny sussed out and that the FBI guy was going to finally capture her the plot twisted again. Makes you think twice about who you would hire to live and work in your home. #thewomaninourhouse#andrewhart#tea_sipping_bookworm#bookstagram#goodreads#amazon#kindle#litsy#bookqueen

No one’s ever told Eleanor that life should be better than fine
Meet Eleanor Oliphant: she struggles with appropriate social skills and tends to say exactly what she’s thinking. Nothing is missing in her carefully timetabled life of avoiding unnecessary human contact, where weekends are punctuated by frozen pizza, vodka, and phone chats with Mummy.
But everything changes when Eleanor meets Raymond, the bumbling and deeply unhygienic IT guy from her office. When she and Raymond together save Sammy, an elderly gentleman who has fallen, the three rescue one another from the lives of isolation that they had been living. Ultimately, it is Raymond’s big heart that will help Eleanor find the way to repair her own profoundly damaged one. If she does, she'll learn that she, too, is capable of finding friendship—and even love—after all.
Smart, warm, uplifting, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is the story of an out-of-the-ordinary heroine whose deadpan weirdness and unconscious wit make for an irresistible journey as she realizes. . .

I was an avid reader as a kid - loved nothing more than Book Club! (Mum hated it because I wanted about 10 books at a time and would finish them all in a week!)
I learned all about horses before I even had the joy of handling one and used to sound knowledgeable beyond my skill on Own A Pony days because I’d read every book on how to tack up a horse, muck out and groom, including all horsey related ailments the night before!
James Herriot broadened my knowledge on animals and farming life, which made me feel I had a connection to the countryside around me.
I had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and was proud to represent Edinburgh Pony Club in the Pony Club Quiz Team, where I could impart all that I had learned.
But as I got older and my mind sicker, I stopped reading. My attention span waned as did my enthusiasm.
As a Ex Paper Geek, I still love collecting books. But many I have never got around to reading. So I joined Goodreads and set myself a challenge. 12 books to read in a year sounds piddly compared to my fellow book friends who maybe have 100 books as their goal. But I am on track, completing two books so far, John Grisham’s The Guardians & Clare Balding’s My Animals and Other Family. And I am enjoying reading again. Just about to start on this book, Meadowland - Sounds right up my street 😊 #books#ilovereading#ilovebooks#goodreads#goodreadschallenge2020#selfcare#readingisgoodforthesoul

Uciekacie? Atakujecie? To właśnie taka chwila, kiedy mam naprawdę dość. WIELKA SAMOTNOŚĆ to moja ulubiona. Wracam do niej po raz kolejny z taka samą przyjemnością. @kristinhannahauthor .

Salah satu buku favorit saya yang berisi nursery rhymes. Bukan 10, 20, atau 40 rhyme, tetapi lebih dari 100 rhyme. 😍

So, siapa takut! Jadi scientist sejak usia dini

Been looking forward to this one for ages!!! Thank you @miniandthewhale for my copy for Xmas 🥰
I finished The Librarian of Auschwitz last night and I have to say, it’s better than The Tattooist of Auschwitz. There was one moment where I went cold, from the top of my head I felt it travel right down to my feet. What the Jews faced was horrifying. The Librarian tells the story from the point of view of Dita, a young girl in the camp. It references Anne Frank which brought a tear to my eye as that was the very first book I read in primary school on this subject. It’s so well written, it breaks your heart.
Needing something fictional now to take the edge off, can’t wait to dive into this one ❤️
I find it both amusing and fitting to read books that refer to a particular season or time of year when it *is* that time — which is why I’m currently reading Winterlust (gifted by @greystonebooks). I said I would read it in November but... life and other books happened, I suppose 😅

I’ve had the most chill day ever today. The clock just hit 7 PM, and I’m still in bed reading and listening to Harry Potter ASMR’s on repeat. Really living my best life. I didn’t take any photos today, so I hope you don’t mind a repost of my favourite photo object, my beloved book cart. Which I miss so dearly 🌝
Q: What have you been up to today? And please hit me up with your favourite ASMR videos, I’m obsessed!
Happy Sunday, bib-files! I hope everyone is having as lazy of a day as I am. Went for a quick run this morning and now it’s time to literally spend the rest of the day on the couch reading 💆🏼♀️. What did everyone read this weekend?? 📚
