A tad over 23 miles biked today with a 18-25 mph wind from the south? South south west? Either way, to give you an example... one almost 2 mile section took me just over 10 minutes one way (uphill and into the wind) and just under 6 to come back... With that said I'm totally more of a runner and would MUCH rather have ran today, but well when you sign up for a race you gotta train. And I have future goals that'll thank me for getting more comfortable on a bike. "You can have it all, but not at the same time." Choose your goals you are striving for one at a time.

Let me share with you some more nutrition insights and funny stories 🤣. After starting research 🔬 about nutrition at one point I stumbled upon people that had trouble gaining weight. I was in shock 😬. My family and close people always used the word “diet” as a synonym for losing weight which is completely wrong. It never crossed my mind that diet is a very broad and versatile term 😵.
I had such a limited perspective back then. So here I was struggling to lose weight while never realizing that there are people out there who are struggling to gain weight 🤪. Such a thought would have never crossed my mind because for me slim people always “worked” for their body and a slim body always represented health for me which isn’t true at all either😬. I was so focused on my niche that that I didn’t look at the bigger picture.
Having learned this lesson I continued trying out some mainstream diets for my mission summer abs. I tried to eat “clean”🧹 and “healthy” 🥦. However, here we have our next problem. No matter where you look or read everybody defines eating clean or healthy differently. So what is clean and healthy then❓ This is something you have to define for yourself. There are some guidelines out like a vegan diet, vegetarian diet, ketogenic diet or other diet etc. Some of those dieting concepts might sound crazy at first but it is interesting to read about them, try them out and think about why people prefer one over the other 🤓.
A takeaway from this is that a diet and nutrition plan are as unique as you and they need to be tailored to your needs and goals. I encourage you to try out different diet forms but make sure that you think about it in the long term 🧠. If you have a specific goal in mind a temporary diet can be beneficial but you should always aim for something that you can be doing long term which will give you the most stable result in the end.

That's a wrap! Last race of the @slctrackclub Winter Series. 15K with a 59:06 time (6:20 pace). Longest run for me since October 😅. Felt good with that last sprint to beat @struckbystride. Thanks for pushing me, Janel!
NEW RUNNING SHOES!!! (Well, they were new a week ago when I took the pic. Now they have about 20 miles on them) I've been happily running in @brooksrunning shoes for years. My current pair of Brooks PureCadence have almost 400 miles on them and I usually switch shoes at 300. Last year, I was targeted with an ad for Tie Dye Kinvara 10 running shoes by @saucony. The specs looked like they would work for me and I bought a pair online without having ever worn a Saucony shoe because, I'm a Deadhead and a runner and the shoes are tie-dyed. Long story short, I absolutely love the way the Kinvara 10's fit and feel and the 10's are discontinued and have been replaced by the 11's 😢So I scoured the internet for 10's and couldn't find any more of the tie dyed ones in my size, but I did find a couple of pairs in different colorways
A fast run in Brighton before the race tomorrow. What can I say, it’s windy! #ad Still testing the new #UAHOVRMachina pair, still enjoying them! Or actually, loving them more and more with every run. Hard to believe how soft, light and springy they feel! The only “negative” thing I can say is that I always want to run fast when I am wearing them and I was supposed to do easy runs saving my legs. However, even running faster than planned didn’t leave me tired and I think great energy return they offer helped as well. Who else already tried these? Or any other @uarunning shoes? Focus on what you can do versus the can’t.
I didn’t really work out last week. I could have gone to the gym, swam, or something but I didn’t. I rested. I didn’t feel like it.
This morning my Achilles is feeling a little better. I no longer have swollen cankles, just ankles.
Felt good to take a walk today. Nothing strenuous but nice to get some Vitamin D.
15 miles for 15 weeks today 🥰 (that trend stops here 😂 I will not be running any longer than that) & only 1 pee stop! 🥳
Working out while pregnant is weird. Some days I am so out of breath and feel like an overcooked piece of spaghetti (very loose and limber) and other days I feel as I did before pregnancy 🤷🏼♀️. No matter the day, I’m always happy to get out and move my body, especially on a drizzling rainy day like today! .
Anthony and I have a date day today. Not sure what we’re up to yet, but I can assure you it will involve pizza at some point 😋. .

10 miles in my #brooksghost12 shoes. My sleep and nutrition has been way off the last few days so I probably shouldn’t have even tried this run. I went slow and had to walk some. At 8.3 miles I hit the wall and had to dig deep to make it home.
I went on a long run and you can too.

Heute ging es das erste mal wieder zu dritt zu einem Trainingslauf, nachdem Philipp seine Knieverletzung hinter sich gebracht hat. Leider musste Frank nach 4km verletzungsbedingt aussteigen. Hoffen wir, dass er bald wieder fit ist. 💪 Für Marco und Philipp kam dann mit 18 km ein durchaus anständiger Trainingslauf zustande.

I start running in 1997 , 🤪 so I have quite a few , but i didn’t start seriously“saving” them until 5 year after, so i may be lost about 30. .

Domingo passado (16/02) teve Meia Maratona das Pontes! 🌁 Foram 21km de muita energia, alegria e motivação! 😀🏃🏾♂️ 👟. Valeu demais! Foi minha 3a Meia Maratona em provas (sem contar os 21k que fiz na esteira da academia uma vez 😅).
Parabéns à minha esposa @alinetrancoso_ que conquistou a medalha Top 100 🏅 e a todos os corredores que participaram! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Gratidão a Deus pela saúde e força.
Prova super organizada, realizada pela @mksesportes , com um circuito de belas paisagens brasilienses, e pontos de hidratação a cada 3km, com todo suporte aos atletas.
Mês que vem irá fazer 2 anos que iniciei na corrida de rua.
Lembro quando iniciei não aguentava nada, doía costela, pulmão,canela, barriga. Mas eu comecei, e insisti.
Corria 100 metros e andava 100 metros, e fui aumentando. Com 40 dias fiz 5k direto (sem andar 😂)que emoção, e com 8 meses (dezembro 2018) meus primeiros 21km estreando justo numa meia maratona.
Então comece, vc irá se surpreender com seus resultados, nunca se compare, respeite o processo!
