Trying out the gym that's hella convenient to my house/work. I've been out for a LOOOONG time with all the life stuff. But now I'm stabilizing and ready to get back to taking care of myself and my body. I've gained.....a lot. I've let myself go way too far. My left shoulder is particularly immobile and crazy painful.
It felt amazing to be back on the weight floor today. I had to force myself to stop before I overdid it. I could have stayed there all day.

Ich bin echt ein "Konsumopfer". Ich habe das @air.up.de System ausprobieren müssen und habe gemischte Gefühle. 🤔 Einerseits mega, dass es dem Wasser Geschmack verleiht, andererseits finde ich, dass es mit Sprudelwasser kaum trinkbar ist wegen der Kohlensäure, die mit Luft eingesaugt wird.

Plain and simple! I was in a negative mental place with myself a few years back. I hated looking in the mirror. I'd cover myself from my husband (we were engaged at the time), wear loose clothing, and always in black or patterns to hide any rolls... You guys, I wasn't over weight. Sure I could add some muscle because that's the look I personally wanted, but it was my mind that needed the biggest help.
My friend reached out and asked me about Beachbody. I said no. Multiple times! I even used somebody else's BOD account to avoid joining anything. I didn't get access to the Accountability Group or the community. I was still cheating myself out of time and my health.
So I decided enough was enough. It was time to make myself a priority. I signed up to be a discount coach so I could get a discount on the stuff to fill my nutrition gaps. I finally had extra energy because I was treating myself better. I was fueling my body. I had the support of other women and they were counting on me to show up daily for a quick check in to the online group! And that's when I realized it; I could help other women get out of their ruts and out of their own way!
I transformed from a bar seat warmer, to a health enthusiast. Yes I will still enjoy a drink but I'm not indulging nightly or even weekly like I did in the past. My mental and physical health doesn't deserve that. I let go of toxic relationships. I created supportive friendships. It's all a choice!

It is true that using very little rest periods may result in us burning more calories but that’s not the optimal way to train for muscle growth and strength gains.
Instead of using weight training as a fat loss tool, we should be setting up our diet and cardio to create a calorie deficit and use weight training to take care of muscle building!
