Are you planning a winter wedding?
Winter is such a magical time of the year to tie the knot - from the festive colour schemes to the magical atmosphere. Here are some tips for planning a winter wedding.
Visit your venue at night 🌙
Most venues will take you on a tour in the daytime. Therefore, arrange a visit to your venue in the evening so that you can see what the lighting will be like. You could even ask your photographer to see the venue at night time so they can plan their shots.
Wintery wedding favours ❄️
To keep with the festive feel, gift winter favours such as; candy canes, cookies, sparklers, mulled wine spices, hot chocolate kits, candles or little bottles of Baileys.
Winter wedding colours 🍂
Why not embrace the winter colour scheme and decorate the venue in rich, warm tones of berry red, burgundy, black and gold. Add some extra wintry romance with lots of natural greenery or velvet textures.
Add warm touches🧣
Guests will appreciate a basket of blanket to pick from if they fancy heading outside or get chilly in their seat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of the only redeeming factors of being plunged in to darkness during winter is the amazing light displays.
Though with two young children who need a routine the opportunities to see them are limited.
How are your kids with the dark? Dessi seems alright but Indiana is not so keen!
Today, despite the horrible overcast windy storm we are experiencing on the South, I went for my daily trip to the beach 🌊. It just makes me feel SOOOO much better 😆- no matter the weather. I go down and take it all in for a few minutes. #Relax . Then carry on my day.

Ooooh the scales - Love them or hate them there is something really important to understand about them.
If you stand on the scales every morning it is OK for you to be 2lb lighter than yesterday and tomorrow be 3lb heavier than Sunday.
If you go to a weekly weigh in class it is OK for you to gain 1lb one week then losing 2lb the next once you have gone through an initial period of weight loss.
It is OK for women to fluctuate in weight throughout their menstrual cycle - some gaining and losing over half a stone throughout the month.
It is OK for women to gain some extra healthy weight as you get older, it is needed to support you through the menopause.
What the scales don't tell you is how healthy you are on the inside yet many of us allow the numbers to dictate how we feel which can lead to daily self sabotage, worry and disproportionate view of how we see our body in the mirror.
We work with many women who are stuck in this diet - scales - binge - diet - scales - binge cycle. We help women develop a better relationship with themselves, and their bodies and minds.
The scales are not your guru, you have the power in you to change your beliefs and behaviours. With a little coaching from Sugar and Spice Wellness you can take back control.

Along part of the Shipwrights Way this morning, piecing together more trail routes. I find the miles pass a bit quicker in new routes. It’s all very flat though. Need to seek out some hills. 👀
Nice and easy 11 miles to round up the week. Hope you’re all having a lovely day and no way as hungover as my daughter (😂)
