3 trips to the icemachine later ➡️ Officially I have completed 30 consecutive days of cold showers 🙌🎉 ~ I loved it so much that now I am dreaming of swimming with glaciers 😍❄️😂 How this started: a month ago after a therapy session and feeling really sad, looking for a quick fix, I jumped into a cold shower. Literally then I could not tell you exactly why though.. I had heard of Wim Hof but was not entirely familiar with his method. Meditation was not working for me (and medication was a big no). But I imagined that in a cold shower one cannot think. So I decided to try something new to cope with the stress I was feeling by attempting to shut it off by force. That first shower I emerged feeling strong and relaxed. I told @joeluckyofficial about my experience and we crafted between the two of us a 30 day commitment — to do 30 days of 3 min cold showers and report our results on social media.
It’s been a whirlwind journey.. At first I would enter the shower and scream and jump and maybe say a bad word or two 😅 .. but now I cannot imagine not doing it anymore. (and Joe feels the same way!) 😯🥰 The journey included max cold showers everyday and a few swims in natural cold water in Scotland. On day 23 I took an icebath with the Iceman Wim Hof himself in San Jose, CA. The seminar was fun and informative. I learned that in a cold shower my body releases high amounts of cortisol (stress hormones!).. and yet, I am safe. Thus in learning how to cope with the stress in a cold shower I am able to go forth into the world, and when I experience stress, I am able to (learning to) relax and let go in similar fashion. There's also the added benefit of speeding my metabolism up and giving me energy 💪My body actually feels on fire after 🔥⚡ Aditionally Wim Hof teaches breath work that I have drawn many similarities to with Qi Gong. I have returned to my studies of Qi Gong and will post more information on that soon 🎶

Haven't hit back day in a minute. Felt good to get in here and lift one of my strongest muscles. Completely focused on getting stronger so I can bring an even better package next season.
