Iceland is a place where your state of mind is calm and peaceful, it is a place of reboot, a rethinking of life, where you find balance and harmony with yourself, as if you have wings growing and you can do anything.
You look at all these landscapes and feel so free, and no cold is an obstacle for you, because inside there is a fire that moves you. All I wanted was to stay longer and remember this place and this moment as much as possible, I didn’t want to leave, I was ready to run away from everyone and see more bewitching what was behind the mountain, as if to remain only with me alone in serenity.
This is all like love that changes you and is hard to explain in words.
“We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January
This is our place, we make the rules
And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear
Have I known you twenty seconds or twenty years?
Can I go where you go?
Can we always be this close forever and ever?
And ah, take me out, and take me home”
I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover. 🖤
These two magical bears got hitched yesterday in one beautiful location under the glorious November sun

Emily & Darren on their recent elopement 💚 Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! Got this weekend free for more exploring before a busy week of weddings next week & finishing off some editing 🔥
Aye my people! How goes it?! So I usually do a #introduction on Friday’s but I decided to just share some about me facts(like always) AND I’m also going to include some of my favorite photogs that I get a lot of inspiration from!
So here it goes...
>I’m trying to teach myself how to write in calligraphy!
>I really want to practice shooting landscapes.
>I hated school, but science was my favorite subject.
Now on to who my photog favs are: @emilydekoster who took this photo and my family photos this year at #torreypines I’ll share some family pics in my story. But this girl has such a sweet soul and is SO talented!
- @henrysdiary boo you are seriously photographer goals! Like I can’t even. Everything you photograph is always ON POINT! I’m in awe of your talent. Hoping one day you can photograph me and my hubby!
- @janasnuderl Y’all’s photos are magical! And I enjoy seeing all the emotions and joy you capture. I love seeing your photos on my feed everyday! And it means a lot to me that you take the time to comment on some of my photos! 🧡
I’m not sure why blogging is so hard for me, but this blog post has been sitting in my drafts since August and today I finally hit “publish.” 😂🙌🏻 Link in my bio if you wanna see more of this stunning day!
WEDDING TIP ✨ if you can’t decide between heels or your favorite hiking boots, wear both! Heels for ceremony, boots for dancing. 💃🏻 Here’s another tip, guys... just celebrate your wedding day HOWEVER THE HECK YOU WANT. If you wanna elope, do it. If you wanna wear hiking boots, do it. If you just wanna invite your closest friends, do it. If you wanna get married in your hometown, do it. If you wanna get married on a mountain, do it. If you wanna wear a black dress, do it. If you’d rather dance to Gregory Alan Isakov than the Cupid Shuffle, then do it. If you’d rather head to a campground and sleep under the stars than go to a hotel, then do it. If you wanna get ready together the morning of instead of being separated, do it. It’s YOUR DAY. Break all the rules. However you’re dreaming of taking that next step with your love, just make it your own and make it a day you want to remember for-freakin-ever. (And bring me along so I can capture every detail of you in all your unique badass-ery. 😎)

Just when you thought Iceland couldn’t get any better, you find out their leaves change too during the fall 🍁
I love trying local foods whenever I’m traveling so here are some great options to have in Iceland -
1. Kjotsupa- Lamb Soup
2. Skyr (similar to yogurt)
3. Locally caught fish- Cod, Halibut, Haddock, Mackerel, etc.
4. Pylsur Hot dog in Reykjavík
If you have food allergies (gluten free and/or vegan) and are looking for a sweet treat @joylato_icecream has AMAZING gelato, hot drinks, and crepes. I won’t tell you how many times I went there 😉
I love pink and red because my lips are so juicy, I love deep blue and turquoise because these are my eyes, I love yin yang, white is so contrasted on black, and I love beige and cream because it's the colors of Paradise.
I saw this place and fell in love ∞
“We really wanted to elope but we didn’t because we were worried about how our family would react” .
I hear this all the time. Trust me, I get it. I was nervous as hell calling my parents to let them know Ben and I wanted to elope in Iceland instead of have a big wedding in Idaho. It can be nerve racking thinking about how people will react. But we knew if we didn’t, we were risking regretting having a big wedding instead of creating a day that we were passionate about. So we called them. And the world didn’t end- there were a lot of questions we had to answer but eventually everyone got on board. Let me let you in on a little secret- just because you’re eloping, doesn’t mean you have exclude family. Here’s a few ways to include them on your elopement day:
- FaceTime them while you’re getting ready in the morning. - Invite them! Elopements don’t have to be just the two of you, bring your closest friends and family with you!
- Throw a party with everyone when you get back home. - Get an amazing video/photo team to document it so everyone can feel like they were there too!
At the end of the day, your family & friends should want whatever is going to make you happiest! Compromising is important, but you shouldn’t have to on your wedding day.
And I’m curious! If you eloped, how did you tell your family & how did they react?

I love New York in the fall!! 🌇🍁🍂 New York City is my favorite city in the world. I’ve been to London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Tokyo, Dublin, etc... but I still have a special place in my heart for NYC. It understands me. 😌

Today’s gonna be a great day, just as the elopement day of these two beautiful humans.
They really look as the most happy people in the world, right?!
Nothing is quite as magic as a winter elopement in Iceland. We never stop dreaming about new places in the world to explore. One place that has always been on the top of our list is Patagonia! We are so excited to be heading there in April. If you are thinking about eloping somewhere wild get in touch!

Just couldn’t help but show you this special snap of the beautiful Snaefellsness elopement we’ve managed to shoot last September.
This spot is definitely something special & looking incredibly epic, however in real life it’s much better than it looks like 😅
And the bird at this photo was right on time, right? 🖤

I have a confession.. I’m obsessed with Starbuck’s pumpkin cream cold brew and I have it at least once a day. I heard it’s gonna be gone soon and I’m devastated.

Christine told me how her grandmother used to peel grapes for her when she was a kid because she didn’t like the peel. She’s always talked to Baxter about this and how peeling grapes is such a painstaking thing to do for someone, but her grandmother loved her so much that she did it anyway. Well fast forward to their wedding day when Christine opened her gift from Baxter to find a bowl of grapes that he peeled for her. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 😭❤️😭❤️ // meanwhile, when Baxter opened his gift from Christine, he saw that she signed it with her new last name and he lost it 😭. Capturing moments like these remind me why I love my job so much. (Photos of Baxter opening his gift by my amazing second shooter @chelseydellingerphotography 💞)

12 flights. 9 weddings. 4 engagement sessions. All in the past 5 weeks. Tired but filled with so much love from my couples and their family & friends. Just poppin’ in to say that I’m still alive and praying for all my fellow photog friends out there. 🙏🏼

Iceland is true dream of every photographer. I can swear it’ll steal your heart from the very first minute!!
Just because, tell any other place where your couple will just say “YES” to any your craziest dream or spot?!
These two were so happy and down to anything we were asking to do, so we just couldn’t help but go to one of our most favorite and still secret spot - a huge canyon with absolutely no people and the stunning view around!
And it was literally the most adventurous elopement we’ve every shot! We hiked, soaked under the pouring rain and of course, felt so much love in the air...
P.S. We’ve already started booking 2020 and already half way booked the year 🙈
If you want such a dreamy experience of the lifetime documented by us - don’t hesitate to DM asap!
