There is a myth out there that Fall/Winter is a “slow” season in Real Estate. But here are some great reasons to sell your home in the “off” months:
Because this myth exists, there are some folks that don’t think to list their house during the fall and winter, which means less competition for sellers that do! Indy is already in a Seller’s market, making the last few months of the year a fantastic time to sell!
When inventory is low, I am coaching my buyer clients to be ready to move fast. This means knowing what they want and what they can afford and getting them pre-approved for their mortgage before they even look! Families may be less likely to move around the holidays but millennials looking to purchase their first home or older folks with empty nests are waiting until later in the year. Even large companies that have relocation programs for employees tend to wait until the last part of the year to move their people!
3-The pressure is on
Who wants to move in January or February in Indiana? Not many! So buyers are ready to find something and get moved in ASAP. Like now!

It’s developing an ICP
An Ideal Customer Profile
In short, an ICP is who that company or brand would prefer to do business with. It’s built around age, gender, occupation, personality traits, location, income levels, and more.
As it’s who the product or service was created for.
For those of you who follow me and have a business, this should make a decent amount of sense to you.
I’d challenge you to take a step back and really think of your ICP.
Is your ICP based around something that you want, or backed by real data?
For those of you who don’t run a business (sometimes i’m jealous of you), I simply challenge you all to flip the switch on this conversation.
Take a step back and figure out who you actually are.
What you’re interested in, what you like doing, what you’re talented in, etc.
Knowing those things will not only make a job search easier, it’ll make life a little more simple.
