Gulab jamuns (translated very roughly as 'rose-fruits') may have got their name from the fact that they are jamun (an Indian fruit) shaped, round, and usually soaked in a rosewater scented syrup. Essentially, deep fried balls made of milk powder, flour, butter and cream or milk, and then soaked in sugar syrup.

JALEBI - INDIAN SWEET 💢
Would you ever have thought that jalebis can be made so easily 🤔
These light and crispy bites of jalebi will be a surefire hit with your friends and family 🔥
The traditional version of this classic sweet require a long fermentation time. So, to make the process easier,i made an instant version of the classic jalebi.
Add 1 cup of Suji and 1/4 cup of maida with 1/2 cup of yogurt ,mix it well and make a smooth batter, keep aside for 20 minutes!! Finally, add in baking powder which is going to be an important ingredient that makes this version of jalebi “instant”.Add colour and mix well .
Place 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a pan and mix until you reach one thread consistency.Add cardamom powder and a little lemon juice .
Now,Fry this instant jalebi. You can use a squeeze bottle, ziplock bag or piping bag to make the swirl shape. My jalebis don’t have the perfect round shape, but believe me, they’re so divine. Fried hot jalebi goes straight into the warm sugar syrup.
Try these and enjoy is all I can say 😬

Basundi is an Indian sweet especially popular in Western Indian states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is a sweetened thick milk dessert made by boiling milk on low heat until the milk is reduced by half.
It is very similar to north Indian sweet dish rabadi but slightly lighter version rabadi is thicker in texture. This slow cooked sweet dish is very popular during Navratri, Shraddha paksha, also occasionally made for guest during festival for lunch or dinner as a sweet dish.
