India emerged as the world's fifth largest economy by overtaking the UK and France in 2019, says a report.
A US-based think tank World Population Review in its report said that India is developing into an open-market economy from its previous autarkic policies.
"India's economy is the fifth largest in the world with a GDP of USD 2.94 trillion, overtaking the UK and France in 2019 to take the fifth spot," it said
The size of the UK economy is USD 2.83 trillion and that of France is USD 2.71 trillion. .
The report further said that in purchasing power parity (PPP) terms, India's GDP (PPP) is USD 10.51 trillion, exceeding that of Japan and Germany. Due to India's high population, India's GDP per capita is USD 2,170 (for comparison, the US is USD 62,794). .
India's real GDP growth, however, it said is expected to weaken for the third straight year from 7.5 per cent to 5 per cent. .

Start investing as early as possible to make use of the awesome power of compounding!
Compound interest is a dull name for an astonishing phenomenon: the capacity for interest to grow exponentially until it delivers a huge proportion of your wealth while all you do is sit back and wait.
The longer the investment period the stronger the effect of compound interest.
I was discussing with a friend today and she told me she had just been to the market and could hardly buy anything because the prices of food stuffs had gone up. 'Country hard! Food price don increase' she said sadly. It then hit me that I'd read in the online news that the inflation rate in Nigeria had gone up to 12.13% this past January , 'ha! Na so things go just de dear anyhow, money when person plan no go reach buy anything'. This is how inflation affects our disposable income. The value of our money decreases drastically when inflation is high, which is currently the case of the Nigerian economy.
So imagine that you could buy 1kg of rice for 1000 naira last year (2019), this year (2020), that 1kg of rice will cost 1120 naira , so your 1000 naira no go fit buy that rice you de dream of because, INFLATION.
So that you won't have story that touch the heart, you have to invest your money to hedge against this inflation. Now you have decided that you will finally invest that your money 🎉🎉, how much interest do you think is enough? More than the prevailing inflation rate of course!!!!. So it means that whatever investment vehicle you decide to invest with , ensure that the interest rate per year, is greater than the average inflation rate of the country's economy.
Know also that saving your money in the bank means that your money is losing its value because current interest rate per annum for savings account in Nigeria is 4% per annum, shine ya eye ooooo..... No say I no tell una wetin de!
Protecting ourselves from inflation means converting federeal reserve notes (dollars) into assets that hold its value. Silver & gold is a great way to protect yourself against a falling dollar ⬇💸⬇. As inflation rises and erodes the value of the dollar, the cost of every ounce of GOLD/ SILVER 💰will RISE as a result. That's a benefit for YOU! Your money (gold/silver) is not only safe but it grew in value 🎉💪💡💰🎉

Here is the final post for the concepts of #inflation and #deflation . This post will focus on what causes inflation and deflation. We have added a couple of videos so that you can get a different perspective of learning about these concepts, and we have also added some more examples as it helps connect inflation and deflation with the real-world. Hope you enjoy! #economy#financialliteracy#growthmindset
Inflation has risen to 1.8%. This is still below the Bank of England is 2% target (CPI). Apparently the main drivers of this were airfares and petrol prices. This slightly reduces the case for an interest rate cut.
Of course, you can buy more than 3 items with $100.00 in 2019, but that’s not the point. This is a visual representation of how inflation works.⠀
Since we can’t completely stop inflation, we have to find ways to combat it. One way to do this is by investing into assets that grow at faster rates than inflation. By doing this, your money will hold its value.⠀
What investing are you making to combat inflation?⠀

The world has given up on the idea it has to pay back it's debt.
Governments figure they might as well spend as much as possible until they're out of office or before the next financial crisis occurs w/ $250T
of debt and growing.
That's why we're bullish on fiat alternatives and one of them is Bitcoin.

Over previous price increases, some felt it has become over-priced and others feel it is appropriate due to the quality of the resort. What do YOU think??
