Vatican City is an independent sovereign state and the smallest country in the world by size, at 0.44 km². Its territory is completely surrounded by Italy and it is only one of three countries in the world that are enclaves of another country (the others being San Marino, also in Italy, and Lesotho in southern Africa). Also, it is the only country in the world that is an enclave of a city, as all of the land around it is part of Rome, the capital of Italy.
I think writing is really about a journey of understanding. So you take something that seems very far away, and the more you write about it, the more you travel into it, and you see it from within. — Pico Iyer
It’s been such a crazy week since we’ve returned from our honeymoon! The most frequently asked question I get is which place was our favorite. I think you guys can guess that I’ve been saying Positano without a doubt. I can’t even describe how I felt the first time I saw this beautiful place in person. Everything about it was so charming, from the boutiques on the narrow streets, to the little cafes, to the beautifully colored buildings and homes on the cliffs. The views from every angle are amazing, but the views from the water are by far the best. I highly recommend doing a boat tour; we did a private one and it was by far the most romantic and magical experience during our trip 💙 // outfit details linked: http://liketk.it/2F9ed @liketoknow.it#liketkit#LTKtravel#LTKswim#positano#honeymoondestination#boattour#waterview#positanoitaly#traveldestination boat tour: @grassijuniorpositano 🛥
Bologna is BEAUTIFUL. The most colourful place we have ever seen and so full of character. Safe to say we have fallen in love with this city. We think it is almost up there against Perugia as our favourite Italian city. (Though sorry Bologna, not even you have been able to take Perugia from the top spot! Let's see how Venice fares...) #porticoculture
Escape to the Tuscan countryside 🌿
Featured in The Times in their article "Top 10 Villas in Italy 2019" Villa Volsini is tucked away in the picturesque countryside between Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, with perfectly manicured lawns and a stunning private pool overlooking the beautiful Lake Bolsena. #whydoordinary

Lucca is a little beauty of a town in the Tuscan countryside. A huge wall rings the town, wide enough for cars, horses and 6-person quadricycle. The olive oil from the region is amazing - definitely worth seeking out.
Those oak trees atop the tower there? The kitchen used to be on the floor below, and the rooftop was a kitchen garden.
I was supposed to be traveling now, but I had to cancel my trip, because of the lack of time. Wait, a travel blogger who doesn’t have time to travel?!
I keep saying it over and over to people that the work involved with running a successful blogging business is different from just posting on Instagram. Especially if I want to continue my 80% non-sponsored content trend 😉
That said, I have a ton of great photos I still haven’t posted here - such as this one from our first beautiful evening in Matera. So glad I got to see it before it becomes crazy busy when the new Bond movie comes out 😝🥺
