We’ve got some great events coming up this week! On Wednesday, learn from our Atlanta alumni how we helped them pivot their careers. And on Thursday, we’ve got an alumni panel speaking about their bootcamp experience and how we helped them find their first job as a programmer. RSVP at the link in our bio!

Last week I posted about working on your Soft Skills to compliment your coding skills. Let’s explore how you can work on your personal brand inside your engineering organization and company.
Since I’ve been working remotely, my coffee intake has increased drastically. I drink about 2 mugs per day on average, which is a lot 😱
It is quite unexpected because I don’t really LOVE it but it is a good way for me to take a break, I am pulling my #Chemex out and take time to make myself a good cup of coffee.
I also drink tons of water and cups of tea 🍵 during the day!

How I’m feeling this Friday finally getting to share with you all what I have been working on! I am going to be releasing an eBook coming up which you can think of as your mentor/best friend/handbook for assisting you and guiding you through your coding journey. I get so many incredible questions that I wanted to compile the most popular ones and write a book on them for you! -
On this note, I am going to include a page at the end of advice others would give for people learning how to code. What advice would you give!? I will try and include it! 😄💡💻

Happy Saturday Devs!
This week was very productive in terms of client work and side projects. We finalized designs on my side app project, and will be moving into development next week. I am IN LOVE with the way this app looks and I cant wait to show it to you. We also had a successful demo and shareholders meeting for my SaaS platform. Hopefully both will be launched in beta before the end of the year. 🤞🏼
Yesterday was a really fun and busy day at the office. I worked from home Wednesday and Thursday, and got so much work done for the client I am on, that I was able to attend some really great meetings and workshops all Friday morning at our office in downtown Hartford. .
We had our October SOTO (State of the Office), which is always great information and insight into how the company is doing financially and operationally. After that was our regular daily project standup. Then I had a meeting to kick off the Women in Technology Hartford chapter of which I will be a board member (being excited about this is an understatement!). Our General Manager attended the meeting and we all shared with him our stories of how we got into technology, what the WIT organization means to us, and why we want to be a part of it (thumbs up 👍🏼 in the comments if you want me to share what I said).
The last event I attended before getting back to client work for the day was a lunch ’n learn on DevOps. DevOps is a topic that I have been very interested in because its what I kind of always did without really knowing it. It was cool, though, to see the actual technology that is out there to help establish DevOps as a practice rather than just an idea or a thing that is done. It was super informative, insightful and I learned a lot. .
What are you doing to continuously learn or improve? #womenintechnology#devops
