I thank #God for every struggle that I've endured. •
And, grateful the earned #streetsmarts taught me how to convert every #obstacle into #opportunity . 📈 •
That's the moral of the story: If you're dealing with problems, keep the #faith . Embrace them. Know that the problems are temporary and look for ways to leverage these "problems" to your benefit. And, treat every "win" and "failure" as the same imposter. •
My bro @i_am_travis_richey and I have been working on a project that provides #jobtraining , #education and #resources to the #incarcerated and #returned#prison population. We just signed a deal that gives us access to 1m+ #inmates , to support each of them on their road to #redemption . S/O my bro for this great write-up. •
I have some other things re: #prisonreform in the works too, and excited to drop those when they're ready. 💯

AccomplishED Ventures. We’ve been #incubating this business for what feels like F-O-R-E-V-E-R but when I see it come to life inside prisons and on #magazine stands it feels like we haven’t even started. My goal was to give #tools and #education to a forgotten population but somewhere in the process I found my fulfillment. Last week we signed a contract with the largest prison communications company in the US allowing our educational content to become available to almost every incarcerated adult in the US. If we can provide jobs and HOPE and Purpose to a few folks, we’ve done our jobs. But I know we will #impact#millions for the better. 🌎
AccomplishED provides educational, job training and hard skills for #reentry and #returnedcitizens . Our #mission as a company is to #fightrecidivism and address the social problems of #massincarceration by providing the incarcerated population and returned citizens the job skills and training needed to succeed. #prisonreform#recidivismreduction#AccomplishED#entrepreneurlife#loyalty#hustle#workinprogress

✨Success Story Alert!✨
As we celebrate the generosity of this amazing community and the support that has poured in these past few weeks to help families in need at the holidays, we take a moment to celebrate another great success that has graced Wellspring recently:
Former Wellspring Student Sybil Darcy was recently featured in the Gloucester Times' Cape Ann People in The News for earning her spot among six nurses to participate in Care Dimensions Inc.'s Hospice Nurse Residency Program.
Sybil first came to Wellspring several years ago when she was working as a nurse's aide part-time. She enjoyed working in the nursing field but needed a job that paid better wages.
With the help of a Wellspring Career Counselor, she laid out a plan to begin to achieve her career goal to become a nurse. She enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program at North Shore Community College. Wellspring matched her with a mentor for regular guidance and support along the way. With her family to support, this rockstar mom attended classes during the week, and worked weekends to make ends meet.
After completing the LPN program she began working as an Licensed Practical Nurse. Still not satisfied, Sybil applied to NSCC's Registered Nurse Program. Again, she carried a full course load during the day and worked weekends to support her family.
In May of 2019, Sybil graduated and passed the NCLEX-RN exam (National Council Licensure Examination) on her first try!
Wellspring was there for Sybil, helping her put together a career plan that was both achievable and affordable, and providing the ongoing guidance and support she needed, to achieve her goal of a well-paying, secure job in an field she loved.
We are inspired by Sybil's hard work and determination and we are so happy for her success! .

#GivingTuesday was AMAZING! We are absolutely floored by your generosity. We cannot thank you all enough!! Because of you, Other Side Ministries received a total of $11,545 in donations yesterday!!
Even better, we have yet to see how much of this was received during the correct times for Facebook to match!
Because of your generous support we will be able to impact above and beyond anywhere we thought possible in coming years. Thank you again for joining together with us. We're looking forward to changing more lives than ever before in 2020!
We want to say a special Thank You to an anonymous benefactor for donating a whopping $10,000 towards our much needed van. Because of you, we're ensured secure transportation to continue running Other Side Ministries as the best it can be. We are deeply honored by your generosity. Thank you.
Thank you for helping us provide more life-changing second chances on #GivingTuesday ! If you missed it, it isn't too late to contribute. Don't have a few bucks to kick in? We totally get it. Perhaps you could consider doing something like: ~ sharing our profile on your favorite social media platforms;
~ donating gently used items for resale;
~ sharing the moving video we released yesterday of our missional impact;
~ signing up for our occasional emails;
~ volunteering in our retail or admin operations;
~ telling a friend about the benefits of deconstructing a house slated for demolition;
~ or, of course, shopping til ya drop any day from 9 to 5!
👌 www.secondchanceinc.org will help you out with these actions 👌
Without you, we wouldn't be able to retrain, reclaim & renew, and so we are forever grateful for our #SecondChance community!
“In December 2018, Phillips graduated from a free eight-week pilot culinary training program for people from the City of Miami’s District Five — Overtown, Liberty City, Little Haiti and Allapattah. The Hospitality Employees Advancement and Training (HEAT) program is funded by local hotels, airport concession companies and casinos in partnership with the Overtown community redevelopment agency.
Michelle Phillips, 33, never thought she’d count herself among the 2,000 employees of Miami-Dade’s largest hotel. Before January she worked as a dishwasher and line cook at a breakfast restaurant making $11 an hour. Now, she’s getting ready to celebrate her one-year anniversary as a cook in the Fontainebleau banquet kitchen making $14.85 an hour with employer-provided health insurance, an upgrade that has allowed the mother of two to support herself for the first time.” Click the link in our bio to read more!

This is our favorite thing that we get to offer. It's rare, and it's now.
I think I can safely accept it at this point in my life. I can admit it...
I like change. I REALLY like change.
I can find satisfaction in simply rearranging the furniture. Or coloring my hair. (2 things that happen so often 🤦🏼♀️.) But I also have these surges + urges to do something drastic. Something big. Creating huge waves of change. I’m not really sure if this is a good or a bad thing. I’m just coming to the realization that this is a reality for me. Where we go from here, I have no clue.
This #wanderer ’s backpack is basically perfect for my change-loving personality because it plays to the #wanderlust in me. It’s from @loveforty1 and y’all.... I gotta tell you.... their mission is incredible.
So.. Love 41 is a #leatherhandbag brand and the 2 sisters who run it believe that receiving is through giving and because of that theory, 100% of their profits go back to helping the community of #Rwanda . Say what?! Their focus is on giving to women + children (for #jobtraining , #freedaycare , #sponsorshipprograms , #schooling and beyond. Ummm.... seriously? 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 #loveforty1#love41
I mean, can it get much better than that? Incredible leather goods that help promote a cause for people in need... life-changing! Go check out and follow @loveforty1- you won’t regret it.
Who enjoys change? Who dreads it? I’m embracing that this is part of who I am. It’s a life of adventure and unknown but I’m up for it. 😉
