picture this: you’re going home after a long day. the sunlight is perfectly gleaming through the trees hung with changing leaves. Joni Mitchell is playing. you smile. not a concept, just my evening. 🍁🍂🌰
Lemme tell ya a lil secret...issa good one. 🙃
A question I get asked a lot is “How can I find happiness?” 🤔
Which I’m sure is a question that most human beings have. 😅
But what you need to understand first & foremost is that when you go searching for something (anything), the pursuit you are on indicates a state of scarcity or lack.
You are searching for something, therefore you do not already have it.
You still with me? 🙃
By now, I think most of us are familiar with the Law of Attraction.
But in short, the law of attraction states that the universe can only match my energy. So the energy that I put out, is the energy I will receive.
Or for my science people, we know Newton’s third law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Easy peasy! 🤓
So if I am constantly operating from this place of “lack”, and I am constantly searching for that which I don’t have, I will continue to receive the opposite of that which I am searching for. 🤯😅
Happiness is not something that you find.
Happiness is something that you are.
The sooner you stop searching, the more apparent this will become.
Embrace that which you are, to become that which you wish to be. 💫
Tag a friend that is on the pursuit of happiness! ❤️

Today has been one of those rare days where you reconnect to discovery and adventure. Ours so happened to be deep in the heart of Kentucky, following our GPS on the gravel back roads until it burned out, and then forging deeper- like I seriously thought “this is where you could die and no one would find you!” 🤭 But, it was absolutely amazing to climb up into the lap of the countryside and explore. Caves and hollows, abandoned cabins and cliffs. Bliss. And I have the BEST explorer buddy in the world 🙂 @addison_everett#backwoods#adventuresawait#everafterphillips#kentucky#exploration (📸 is us standing on a 100 ft cliff, overlooking a perfect autumn valley)

big RIG power... after taking this picture the driver decided to blow the horn for me and then he unleashed the power of his Cummins engine and no one could see anything.
Sipping Dead Drop Pecan Whiskey from @ThorntonDistilling . Get your own pour, or bottle, at @thewell1857 . This is a really nice 5-year-old whiskey further aged with pecan wood then macerated with roasted pecans. It has a whiskey forward profile with hints of pecan. Very well done.

Having been making YouTube videos for nearly three years now, I’ve realized that the loudest, most eager voices are often the haters. Attacking out of their own pain or lack. My encouragement to myself and others, don’t weary in doing good. Ask God for strength and stay the course. || 📷 @morganolliges
I went back and forth on whether or not to post this image from Ally’s senior session. Mainly because it’s darker than my normal style for senior portraits. But I kept going back to it every time I’d scroll through to pick her gallery cover image.
We had some amazing lighting during her session. The sunlight was perfectly filtered through thin clouds that allowed us to get shots like this. If I could have days like this all year, I wouldn’t complain!
What are your favorite Bourbon releases under $50? Here are some of my picks:
• Buffalo Trace Store Pick
• Chattanooga Whiskey 91 Proof
• Early Times BIB
• Eagle Rare Store Pick
• Chattanooga Whiskey 111 Proof
• New Riff BiB
• Knob Creek Store Pick
• Old Ezra 7 year
• Wild Turkey Rare Breed
These are fantastic daily drinkers and give a run to many more expensive bourbons in blind taste tests. Price does not always reflect quality. Their are cheaper gems and expensive duds. I remind everyone to open their bottles, do tastings, and find the whiskey for you.
What is your favorite sub $50 whiskey release? Do you have a favorite 2019 release in this category?
