🥳 Yesterday was Mike’s birthday! We spent the weekend at sea level enjoying city life and exploring towns in the area. ⠀
We’re currently on the hunt for where we want to move next and have finally whittled the contenders down to a few areas. 🧐 ⠀
It’s a tough decision to make! We’re lucky that we aren’t in any rush. ⠀
Where is your favorite place you’ve lived? 🏡⠀

🏔🏔🏔 Just daydreaming about mountains... Looking forward to going back to this little gem of park in the summer. This trip was last August. There was still so much snow on the ground! ⠀
Where are you headed once the ground thaws? Or are you tougher than me and hang with snow? 🙅♀️❄️⠀

On Saturday, January 18th the Black Sheep 4x4 Crew made camp at Potato Butte in Lassen National Forest to make sure all the drivers and families are fed and their rigs are safe to line up and set off to the Lookout. This is the red crew on the Frozen Extreme Trail.
🌋🌋🌋 Casually hanging out in the caldera of a volcano. Mt Lassen is considered active because it most recently erupted in 1915. The trail to the top is marked with interesting first hand accounts of people who were near the mountain when it started spewing. Such a cool hike and relatively short distance!

We haven’t posted on here in forever (and we probably won’t anytime soon again 😛) but had to pop on to say that Wyatt visited his first national forest (outside of the womb)!! Our little guy did great on the road trip! He’s definitely up for an adventure! Lassen is the first of many to come, can’t wait to explore the country with him!

When you embark on a solo evening hike and find no one else on the mountain except for the one and only @maxxsphotography who also happens to be an amazing sunset companion and photographer #winning#lassenpeak
