Growing up in India meant washing/drying clothes everyday. Ever since we came to the U.S I do the laundry 🧺 once a week. Now that spring is coming, I am solar drying clothes!
So excited to use the clothesline this Summer 2020! I got it for 5$ each from Big Lots.
Drying clothes in the dryer releases toxins and the best way to dry clothes is on the clothesline.
We arrived to the U.S in the year 2011, stayed in a one bedroom apartment and one of the leasing agreement said: Tenants are not allowed to dry clothes in the patio, because it gives the Apartment complex a ghetto look!
But, me being me, the non-conformist, that I am I still dried clothes outside on clothesline and on drying racks. 😖 grr 😠
Being a home owner gives a lot of freedom to do what we want to do. Now am not answerable to anyone.
I love being frugal...but I also like nice things.
Let me show you how fancy I am while saving $$. .
Okay okay...so my one bottle of Thieves detergent literally lasts me about 4-5 months. If I didn’t have children I could make it last much longer. I do an average of 3 loads of laundry a day. 🤦♀️
I take that one fancy bottle of detergent...and use my detergent hack as shown on my pump bottles and pump 3 squirts into every load! Yup...3 squirts...that’s it! .
Cleanest, freshest clothes ever! And without any chemicals. 🙌🙌 Did you know chemicals from detergents stay on your clothes and when you wear them, those chemicals wreak havoc on your good gut microbiome. 😳 I need my serotonin and so do my kiddos, so um no thank you chemicals. .
Next up...laundry scent booster! Best thing evaaaa...and it takes just seconds to whip up. One scoop in each load...voila...amazingness! We use 1 1/2 cups Baking Soda, 1 1/2 cups Epsom Salt & 25 drops of Purification oil. .
Dryer Balls...oh my gosh seriously the fanciest things, and no static issues for us and clothes smell amazing after dropping oils on my balls and letting the dryer do it’s thing. I don’t use dryer sheets anymore because well...they are honestly one of the most toxic things we used to have in our home. .
Stains? No worries there...I whipped up my own stain sticks on the stove & have zero issues getting stains out. Football & Baseball uniforms? Good as new with the stain stick! (Recipe in comments.)
I love this fancy look & theme we have going here but love how much $$ we save while being fancy.
Who else uses Thieves Laundry Soap? Tell me why you love it!
Ruger is making quiet the appearance on my ig lately lol he's excited that I'm doing more laundry so he can lay in the pile of warm clean clothes lol. Well I've gotten lucky enough to try out @dropps laundry and dish pods and both are phenomenal! I've actually been eyeing this company for a while and heard great things. They definitely live up to the hype. What drew me to them was the packaging (environmentally friendly) and it takes up so little space when storing it away for the next use. I won't tell you I'm a perfect example of an environmentalist or anything but I have tried to be more conscious of our plastic consumption. You really don't realize how much plastic is out there until you're trying to cut it out 😑
So thank @dropps for this opportunity AND for making such an awesome product! You guys rock!
