I know it’s hard. I know that sometimes it feels like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. You have another human being that you’re responsible for. And you love that being with all your heart.
So you want to teach them. You want to teach them how to be a great person. You want to teach them how to be safe. You want to teach them how to be someone who can become successful and have an amazing life.
And that’s wonderful. It’s what every good mom strives to do.
But there’s a secret I want tell you: You’re not your children’s most important teacher- they’re yours.
As a mom you struggle with an incredible amount of guilt. You feel horrible when you blow up at that tiny person that you brought into this life- no matter how old they get. You feel anguish that you’re working and not spending enough time with them. You feel heartache when you discipline them too harshly because you finally snapped and couldn’t take it anymore.
And it’s not easy to feel like this.
But ask yourself, why did I come into this world? What’s the purpose of it all anyways? Your mind might have a million different answers but your heart has only one.
You came into this life to learn the only lesson worth learning: how to be unconditionally loving. But in your striving to be a great mom you forgot the person who needs your love more than anyone else.
You are the one who stays awake at night worrying about your children and feeling terrible about losing your temper with them. You are the one who’s in internal turmoil because you never feel like you quite measure up to your parenting ideal.
And that’s why you need to give yourself love.
Your children are here to teach you how to do that by providing you with the most challenging classroom of all. They’re not here just so you can feel fulfilled or so you can groom them and mold them to become great people. They’re here to push your buttons, and in doing so to be your greatest teachers of love and kindness.
Love and kindness to yourself, first.
But how do you learn this lesson from these master teachers? ••••••• continues the post on the next comment below••••••••👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
“Play is the highest form of research” - Albert Einstein —- We can teach, discipline, lead and guide children with kindness and with respect, and play is a BIG part of that equation. 💚 Do you get the kids outside to play each day? Do you notice a difference in their behavior if/when you don’t? #playislearning#mindfulmama#letthemplay#montessoriactivity
Will stop for cute flowers & beautifully blissful couples🌼🌼🌼

Target doesn’t care how messy your hair is, or how long it has been since you showered.
Target’s like “those are some cute yoga pants, girl. Here’s a latte, go do ya thang.” I saw that quote and it made me laugh. This postpartum journey has been so different...with my first I never wanted to leave the house. Looking back I definitely struggled with a lot of postpartum anxiety.
This time around I feel like I need to take a little time for myself here and there. Sometimes just a quick trip to target or a little walk outside is all I need to feel recharged.
So do you Momma! Whether that means staying in or letting the hubby stay with the kiddos so you can have some quiet time. And if you’re feeling really anxious don’t be afraid to ask for help. We got this!

Who else loves when the water suddenly turns on a higher pressure while their kids think it's safe???🤣. Still warm over this way, which is not great as I'm only getting bigger🤦🤷. Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend! #getoutside#outdoorkids#playallday

SORPRESA!
@migueheto 🤰🏻🤰🏻🤰🏻
Exploring the Mississippi on the Wisconsin side. If you’ve never toured the Great River Road there is so much to explore. Stockholm is one of our favorite places to hang out. They have free bikes to ride around on, the art building behind the kids to check out, plenty of places to eat and shop and access to the river, and finally a pizza farm and a winery/cidery just outside the town. It’s a great day destination.

Bless this cereal to the nourishment of our bodies. Like water to wine, let this grain and sugar be turned to vegetables because this mom is too tired to cook any. And Lord, let the toddler eat more than just the marshmallows.
And everyone said... #amen#sundaydinner
Happy chaos- my favorite kind! Wrapping up this session soon, but I can’t stop myself from sharing one more.

Happy Sunday loves!! This is what happens when I leave the living room for 2 minutes🙄 She enjoys sitting in this blanket bin, no clue why🤷🏼♀️ . My child always has to be difficult instead of sitting on the couch she would rather sit in the bin! Is it only my child or are there other momma’s out there that can relate?

Grown on Long Island 🙌🏻 .
Hope your weekend has been full of fun with your little Long Island Grown babes! ❤️
Grateful for these two ❤
When I was pregnant with Caroline I secretly wanted another boy. I wanted a brother for Benji. A best friend for life, but now I realize how silly that was. These two are the best of friends! There is never a dull moment. They keep each other entertained. She'll grab his hand and say "let's go" and Benji will say "ok sister ok" and he'll pretend he's a monster and chase her around. Sometimes he'll even give her piggyback rides and she thinks it's the funniest thing ever!
Mom life is definitely the best life!
Happy Sunday ☀️

On another note, my 3yo son just asked if Weet Bix and Shit Bricks were rhyming words 😳😳😳😳. So I’m going to pop my phone down for a while and sort that situation out 😂😂 Double tap if you’ve heard some inappropriate language from your kids lately! ❤️
Let’s talk shoe size. I’m 5’4” and a size 8 1/2 or 9. I never thought this was strange, but I’ve now realized it’s a pretty big foot for my height! And funnily enough, Hailey has the same thing going on, even as a baby 😂. Her feet seem so long for her tiny little size. Are you a Bigfoot 👣or Cinderella💙? I’m definitely 👣!

My favorite ball of dirt, chasing sissy away, with his grubby lil bear paws 🤣🐻 It’s hilarious how different kids can be sometimes. Hands this dirty would immediately have to be washed off, if it was Elliotte & dude’s so happy—
“If I ever go missing, tell them to follow my kids. They’ll find me, no matter where I try to hide.” 😂 Who else feels me on this???? Last night we only had one cookie left and I went in pantry and closed the door to gobble it up and well before I knew it There were five Littles at the door and when I entered there were none. “Hey mommy I want one what you eating?” Why are you In there? We know your in there. #momlife#siblings ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
