I didn’t realise that I ate so much in London! My #chiyeaneats_london series just seem never-ending. But I really have to post about @piquenique32 •
What a way to end 2019 with one of the best meals I’ve had in the year! Every dish was absolutely delicious! The highlight was definitely the pithivier and OMG THE MONT BLANC! I was so full by then but I couldn’t stop eating it! The chestnut flavours were so prominent and interestingly paired with blueberries. Even the basic roast chicken was executed to an aristocratic fineness. •
And the nondescript setting of the restaurant - in a sizeable-looking shed next to a neighbourhood park- is so quaint! I definitely recommend any foodie to try Pique Nique!
HOUSTON. If you've watched @chefstablenetflix, you would have probably come across @muhinvladimir's @whiterabbitmoscow in Moscow. With its fabulous Alice in Wonderland theme, White Rabbit offers a panoramic (albeit grey) view of the Moscow skyline. They are currently no. 13 on the @theworlds50best as well! If you are coming from Arbatskaya, you will however first have to figure out how to cross a 12-lane highway, so good luck with that. If there is one must-try, they are the White Rabbit Jellies! #Radishnow
PS: we visited during Christmas hence the tree and decor! 🎄
Visited @nanashishoreditch with my new foodie buddy @foodieyena . We were enticed by this crispy rice (looks like a hash brown) nigiri. We went for the spicy tuna and salmon and truffle mayo. O.M.G these were SO epic there was silence at the table. The crispy rice was like eating the tastiest hash brown known to man. Yena and I highly rate the salmon one...we are lovers of truffle. Anything truffle gets our vote. Once you’ve eaten this crispy rice nigiri there really is no going back. We also went for 3 different maki rolls: yellowtail, abusi salmon and the rainbow roll. The shrimp tempura in the rainbow roll was SO TASTY and had that seafood sweetness. Oh gosh it was incredible! The nasi aubergine was so scrummy! Everything was incredible and literally exceeded my expectations. I will visit again but only if I feel flush! #london#londonfood#sushi#londoneats#nigiri#japanesefood
Established in 1890, Gordon’s Wine Bar is widely considered to be the oldest wine bar in the whole of London, one that used to be frequented by the likes of G. K. Chesterton and Rudyard Kipling. With a nickname like ‘the adulterous barrister’s bar’ it’s essentially a portal into Dickensian London. Housed in atmospheric subterranean rooms resembling a cave retrofitted with furniture, it offers one of the quintessential London experiences. Luckily enough we got a table without reservations during the peak hours🤗 #london#unitedkingdom#londonfood#wintervacation#winebar
Now is the time to make some cash from binary option and forex trading .....don’t hesitate give it a try and thank me later. Life is all about the choices we make. 🧀 Mac & Cheese (£4.00)
🍋 Mamas homemade lemonade (£1)
Needed a local burger place to hit up for a last minute plan so we went to FatBoyz 🤪 I got the double cheeseburger which was cooked well and very juicy 😋 I didn’t try the chicken burger but it was rated 8/10 by @1gazan 🙂 Fries were also great and not a stingy portion - also not too dry. The mamas homemade lemonade was delicious to drink - felt nice having something that was tangy that wasn’t fizzy 😅 service does require improvement as it took long to be attended to and Mac & cheese was quite a let down considering the price as it tasted basic 😞 overall 7/10

What an amazing meal at the newly opened Bar Douro City. We were lucky enough to get a reservation during their soft opening (50% off!), but the food really impressed us and I can’t wait to come back again very soon!
Sat at the best seat in the house (kitchen bar), each Portuguese dish was better than the next. We started with the 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗼, a little sandwich 🥪 with perfectly seasoned tender pork, with bits of crackling for crunchy texture. It was so good we ordered another one!
Another memorable dish was their signature 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻𝘀 🦐. Served in a deliciously garlicky spiced sauce, the maître d’ suggested that we needed more bread 🥖 to go with the dish. And he was absolutely right, let’s just say they didn’t need to wash the dish 😆. The fact the prawn was slightly overdone could be easily forgiven. And you can’t go wrong with 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, the king of meats. I could go on, but I have to give a shoutout to the amazing desserts. The 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮 was great but it’s all about the 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁. Sweet and tender in the centre, crispy crust, topped with milk ice cream. Would come back just for this alone!

South indian Chicken curry
800 gm chicken
2 tbsp coriander seeds
2 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 tsp fenugreek Seeds
6 tbsp white cooking oil / Coconut oil
1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
2” piece of cinnamon stick
2 medium-sized chopped onions
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
3 medium-sized chopped tomatoes
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
400 ml can of coconut milk
2 to 3 fresh green chilies
First, remove all unwanted tissues from chicken, then make some cut marks on chicken and break from joints and remove a tendon from it.
On a small pan frying pan add coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, and black peppercorns into it, to dry roast till slightly darker and fragrant. Then grind the roasted spices to a fine powder. Keep aside for later use. .
Add oil ( i used vegitable oil, u can use coconut oil ) into a wide pan and set up to heat on medium-high heat. When the oil is hot then add cinamon stick and musturd seeds to gently infuse and flavour the oil. As soon as the mustard seeds start to splutter, add chopped onion and fry until it become slightly golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste, saute for 5 min then add chopped tomatos, cook till the tomatoes have turned soft and mushy. .
Now add homemade roasted powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and stir until you see the oil separating from the sides. Then add cocomut milk and stir.
Now add chicken on a low flame cook until it cooks. Serve with basmati rice.
About last night...the combinations you guys come up with never cease to amaze.
Artichoke, sundried tomatoes and anchovies on a green base...never before but you know I’m trying it today. What’s your go to?
