Whew it’s been a LOOOONG weekend. It’s definitely a lounge in the couch kinda day. From 1st birthday photos, to engagement photos, to promo shoots... I’m just SO thankful this nasty weather waited until today! 😅 Happy Monday friends!👋🏻❤️
Were dipping into this week with so much excitement! Cool weather is on the way, we’re photographing a gorgeous editorial session at Louisiana’s newest venue, and we have big date plans for this weekend!
What are YOU most excited for this week?

The reception venue from this past weekend had a VERY old cash register... I immediately thought about a ring shot!
Is Mariachi Monday a thing? Because it totally should be!
Joshua and Eloisa were serenaded on the walk from the ceremony to the reception and well on into the night! Weddings should absolutely be all about what you love so why NOT have a mariachi band, right? More Mariachi please! .

I spy some peeking😉 A first look with your bridesmaids is one of my favsss - you’ve got your entire hype squad there in one place to cheer you on & give you all the “oooos” & “yaaaaassss” to get you through all those nerves before you see your man! I love it🥰

A sneak peak of the beauty that was yesterday’s celebration. Tatiana and I planned her wedding for 15 months, and it was worth every minute to see all the details come together and her and Justin’s happiness. Congrats to the Stokes!

Evelyn and Aaron completely changed their wedding from a super large shindig to one the most amazingly BEAUTIFUL intimate weddings I have ever seen! 😍💍Their decision was absolutely PERFECT! They had a small wedding at Fountainebleau State Park in Mandeville, Louisiana. Their day included so many meaningful and emotional moments, simply stunning details, and the most laid back and natural vibes! Ugh guys, as soon as I walked up to their getting ready location my jaw dropped! Head over to my blog on website and check out their full wedding story! It’s seriously so good y’all!! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Cubbage!!❤️ #firstname.lastname@example.org

You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes
You just might find
You get what you need ~ Rolling Stones
That’s the song that was playing when I came out of the church tonight after working on a wedding. It occurred to me how hard I’m trying. And, how I’m finding exactly what I need.

Mother. You are a queen. You are the epitome of strength and courage. There’s a reason why strong forces are called things such “Mother Nature” & “Mother Earth”. You’re a force to be reckoned with. I hope you never forget that, mother. On the hard days, in the dark hours, in the chaos, and through the fears, I hope you always remember that you are a force🌿
Spring wedding season so far = almost too good to be true 😍✨

Hey hey y’all! After almost every session my clients always ask “So how did you get started in photography,” & it’s really funny how God plays things out for you.
The weird thing is, my love for photography stems from a very emotional time in my life. The moment I knew I wanted to take pictures of people and capture moments that can’t be brought back was when I was sitting in my dads funeral and not one picture of the two of us together came across the screen. My dads one request on his dying bed was that we not showcase pictures of his cancer ridden body and that we only share the good. Well, during the good times we tend to get caught up in our daily lives & forget just how precious this life we live is. Sadly, my father and I only have pictures after his diagnosis.
The moment I stepped foot out of that funeral was the day I started documenting my own life heavily. I began to constantly take pictures with my loved ones, no make up face, messy hair, frumpy clothes... whatever that day brought I wanted to have it savored in a picture.
That’s why I picked up a camera & haven’t turned back... because the art of capturing memories we can’t get back mean so much to me & the only regret I’ll ever have is that I didn’t start sooner❤️
