when your groomsmen take over the dance floor the entire night — pure entertainment! guess what song they’re dancing to...here’s a hint, the singer’s initials are W.H.

They look so delicious! Taste even better!
Mahalo plenty, @cakepopinserts for the samples. I saved some for my wife and she loved them. :) #mauiweddingexpo2019

Such an honor to be apart of Tiffany's 5 Year Vow Renewal with her Wife. Tiffany's concerns were pigmentation and uneven texture. After a relaxing mini facial, I customized her airbrush foundation and added lashes. We wanted to keep her look natural but popping. 💗

I'm in HAWAII!!!
Getting here was quite the experience...
After my mom kindly drove me to Chicago the night before, I got up at 3am for my flight only to have a 3 hour delay because the previous pilot "didn't turn off the plane properly". That resulted in me missing my connection in Seattle and having to do a 7 hour layover instead of 1, so instead of getting here around noon I got here at 9pm.
They switched the gate at the last minute to one that wasn't even attached to the main airport so I still ended up rushing around even though I was there for forever. •
The airline wouldn't give me a blanket on the freezing cold plane because they "don't have those... for people back here". •
They somehow managed to leave my bag in Seattle because apparently 7 hours isn't enough time to transfer it.
When I went to pick up my rental car I ended up on the phone for over an hour with multiple people and discovered that my card has been frozen due to a mix up at the hotel.
When I finally got the car, a platform shopping cart came flying across the road and nearly slammed into me.
The glamourous life of traveling haha!
I'm hoping everything will go smoothly from now on and I'm SO excited to get these two amazing people MARRIED TOMORROW!!! We explored beaches yesterday filled with lavarock and driftwood and it's absolutely gorgeous here!
Anyone been to Maui before? Any recomendations for things to check out or pretty locations for photos?

TRUTH be told, I really like to dance. Apparently 13+ years of ballet training (and having a dance teacher as a mom) will do that to you. Now, I want you take a hard look at this photo before you scroll to the right to see how this dance with my brother at his wedding last July truly unfolded. *Hint check out that dude’s face to the left... alcohol was certainly involved in the making of this moment. Good news, I landed on two feet.

Happy Aloha Friday Friends!
We took some days off to unwind and relax after a busy shooting schedule - we work hard we play hard! #lifemotto 😁 #happyhour here we come!
The firefighter and his flame. 🔥 We could not be more excited for this gorgeous couple’s wedding tomorrow!!! And how amazing is this capture by @sass_photo 🙌🏼 Their wedding is going to be epic!! #raeandjgetmauid
Always thinking about where I want to travel next, but constantly torn between a tropical beach vacation or a crisp mountain getaway. ✈️ Today's choice? Give me the sandy beach. 🏝 Ask me tomorrow and I'll probably say the complete opposite. 🙃 Where would you go right now if you could?
FIND YOUR NICHE + OWN IT.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions now that I have a child asking if I’m doing family or newborn photography.
NO SUSAN. 🤣 I’m not. Here’s why:
Because when you niche down to one (or two at max) things you’re KNOWN for... people will start viewing you as the expert in that field.
Look I GET it. When I first started my photography business I was shooting all the things. I dabbled in couples, seniors, families, newborns, EVERYTHINNGGGG. I think when first starting it IS helpful to dabble to figure out what you love most. But back then I figured out quickly that if you want to scale your business + create longevity in this industry... you have to set yourself apart.
And maybe this is the mean truth no one’s told you before, but setting yourself apart does not equal you spreading yourself thin by doing weddings AND seniors AND family sessions AND concerts AND birth stories AND prom photos AND newborns AND cake smashes AND the boy down the street’s bar-mitzvah... 🤣🤣
All that does is make your audience think you’re mediocre at everything instead of 🔥🔥🔥 at ONE thing. (Even if you totally CAN slay a punk rock concert photo the same as you can slay a fresh 48... 🤣 that’s not the point..)
If you’re positioning yourself as a jack of all trades, you’ll be perceived as not being an expert in ANY of them. That’s a legit business principle, not just a photography example.
And it’s true. When I niched down to ONLY do couples/elopements that’s when I became KNOWN for giving an experience to my couples that set me apart. That made me THE GAL to go to for Hawaii elopements + couple sessions.
So no Gale.... I’m not taking photos of your newborn baby or your Hawaiian family vaca in all white + khaki on the beach with a flash at noon... 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll stick to photographing my own child and staying in the lane I’m BEST at. And you should too. You GOT THIS. 👏🏼⚡️🔥
Who else agrees with me?! Is anyone on the struggle bus when it comes to finding your niche? #lindseyromanphotography

A few months ago I was able to fly over to Kauai to photograph @ariejr and @laureneburnham honeymoon. We decided to ignore the crazy weather and hike down to this amazing spot. The trail was SO muddy that Lauren ditched her shoes and hiked down barefoot. I’d say she’s killing it with her pregnancy 💪🏻
A few photos from their honeymoon were featured in @people magazine. That was my first time seeing my working in a magazine and it was pretty dang cool. Anyways! I’ll be sharing more from Lauren and Arie’s session soon!
"Finding the right photographer for our destination wedding in Hawaii was a more challenging task than we initially thought. It's because we were looking for something more than just beautiful photos. We wanted beautiful photos that also captured a feeling. Our decision to book Absolutely Loved then became the easiest decision we made the moment we found them. We instantly knew they were the photographers for us! And after booking them, everything fell into place with so much ease. Stefanie and Anna were very communicative, detail oriented, and on the day of, professional and yet, so easy to be around. They made us feel relaxed, in our element, and brought out the best not only in ourselves but in the details of everything we had spent so much time planning!
With our wedding photos, not only will we reminisce over every detail, we can forever relive the feeling of every moment. And for that, we are forever grateful!! Thank you so so much, Stefanie and Anna, for capturing our wedding day with so much life, beauty, and artistry!!!" Thank you so much @brendanchute & @pardianimal for your kind words! We absolutely loved working with you both! We are grateful to have clients like you. 💗

L O V E// what a magical day at @ponomakenasanctuary . The best part, speeches- listening to their nearest + dearest speak on how amazing these two were, it was such an inspiration. Thank you for including us Sara + Matt!
