This has been my peace.
I’ve been getting lost in the body flow of yoga. Finding happiness in uncomfortable places with my body.
1 to 2 hours daily. Seems like a lot, but it’s not when I break it into pieces through the day.
Listening to our bodies is 1 of the greatest gifts we can learn.
We move so fast these days.
We take so much pointless shit.
How can we listen to our bodies?
If you are not moving, fasting, cleaning, fueling & eliminating it will be hard to listen.
Even then, it is still hard.
I just know that I am thankful for each & every moment. I don’t know all the answers & Honestly, I don’t want to know them. The unknown is special.
The life of Ravana, one of the most powerful beings ever to roam the universe, if Hindu legends are to be believed, had unfolded in the small island Sri Lanka, where he ruled with mighty power over gods, humans and demons.
The story goes that Ravana in order to please his mother had decided to bring the mountain Kailash to Sri Lanka. As he lifted up the mountain, God Shiva was angered by his arrogance and pushed it back down, trapping Ravana. The King of Lanka had torn off one of his own arms and made a musical instrument, ripping out sinews to form the strings. He used the newly invented ravanhattha to sing the praises of Shiva, creating music of such beauty that Shiva wept and forgave him.
Ravana was born to a great sage Vishrava and his wife, princess Kaikesi. He was born in the Devagana, as his grandfather, the sage Pulastya, was one of the ten Prajapatis or mind-born sons of Brahma and one of the Saptarishi or the Seven Great Sages during the age of Manu. Ravana’s siblings include Vibhishana, Kumbhakarna and Ahiravana and a step brother Kubera, from whom he usurped the Kingdom of Lanka.
Lanka was an idyllic city, created by the celestial architect Vishwakarma himself and was the home of Kuwera, the treasurer of the gods, when Ravana demanded Lanka wholly from him, threatening to take it by force. Although Ravana usurped Lanka, he had been a benevolent and effective ruler. Lanka flourished under his rule and Ravana had proceeded on a series of campaigns conquering humans, celestials and demons. .
We all have our feminine & masculine energies and an imbalance affects homeostasis that’s essential for our wellbeing. Moon & sun, night & day, exhale & inhale, balance & binaries in all of nature.
Energy is the life force within us, residing in our first first layer of consciousness, in our muscles, bones, connective tissues, organs, fat & skin. Our energy manifests as emotions and stress in the body, which is a cause to all of the known cancers and diseases today.
Cultures shame people who have a greater energy that is the opposite of their society-assigned genders & roles. However, there is great value in managing both energies within us all.
Creating the experiences that nurture the energy balance is necessary for complete wellbeing. The experiences will be different for each person, so letting go of society’s expectations is imperative.
An imbalance in the masculine shows rage, resentment and an inner conflict because the mind & body are disconnected, while a feminine imbalance shows up as loss of personal power, trouble standing ground and in making decisions.
Awareness & mindfulness meditation helps to find the needed balance in both the feminine & masculine energies. Balance the feminine by taking time to self-nurture and develop your creativity & the masculine by being more direct & speaking up.

We are often looking outside ourselves for the teachings, practices, or circumstances that will bring us happiness. The Buddha (and others) taught that we have everything we need inside ourselves. Everything. .
I love (and am often ignorant to!) how perspective can shift things. It’s completely in our power as to how we see things and the meaning we make up. .
I was at an insight meditation retreat this weekend and once we broke noble silence I spoke to a fellow participant saying, “For me the problem I run into during the sitting is that I experience physical pain and then can’t be still.” .
He responded, “Is it a problem?” .
Duh. How much time had I spent focused on the “problem” of the physical discomfort rather than accepting it as part of the experience rather than something to be managed? .
"O if everything in samšara is possessed of Māya, then grant I O Mata Ji that Māya in which the Son knows none but #Mother !

Some 24 years ago, i was a rude boy street fellow, and was #blessed to meet Her and sit at Her feet for some years.
I was initiated into Elegba and #Oya Yansa mysteries and other unspoken secretly guarded by blood and oath initiations
No doubt, i also received #Shaktipat transmission from Her cosmic presence #Kundalini exploded soon after
Never has ceased completely since
I too trasmit Shaktipat easily to anyone truly open to receive. This is very old and mysterious tradition rarely spoken of, and when it is, it is usually hideously inncorrect
I initiated many in Her name through the years, but no longer give initiations but will forever offer what i can to hungry sols, and will never cease aiding in Kundalini transmission to those who seek
O even by a glance or a read of words such as these is your Serpent easily aroused from slumber! Doubt it not!
Well MaaShiaat Oloya Tyehimba ji! I cannot thank thee enough
Through you, i learned, nay, remembered #Goddess , and disrobed my heart from centuries of one side patriarchy foolishly disguised as religion and #spirituality .
Indeed, i died and thence reborn through thy boundless unbridled womb!

Took this photo earlier while on the phone with my friend. I have an I phone 11 and I couldn’t seem to get that glare from the sun or that blue orb out of the photo (I took it at multiple different angles).
Some people would of course say this is science; or maybe a reflection from the sun, but this was yet another sign from the universe for me.
One palm tree in the distance; deforestation, and pollution throughout the world and in our oceans. We must put a stop to this, and care about the world we are leaving for generations after us us. •
You all will know my story soon✨ The universe has been sending many tests my way, and each time I triumph, I’ve never been one to lay down and stay down.
Travelling solo can sound intimidating at first, however giving
yourself intensive ‘me’ time can be one of the most powerful ways to truly unwind. And there’s no better place to do that than on a yoga retreat email@example.com

I truly believe that showing gratitude for the positive things happening in your life is the first step to bringing you out of that "hole of despair" - those times in our lives when everything seems to just be falling apart around you and your emotional resources to cope are completly depleted. This is one of the hardest times to shoe gratitude but it's the only thing that's going to help pull you back onto the path to healing - and lead you to becoming a happier and healthier human being.
The human body isn't designed to handle high levels of stress for long periods of time. Yet many of us do. And it's during these times that we need to draw on all the resources we have. Friends, family, lifestyle adjustments, journalling, meditation, yoga... And herbs!
I find herbal medicine to be a real game changer during these tough periods that we all go through at some point in our lives. Because sometimes we all need a little extra help! And that's really nothing to be ashamed of. It's actually smart.
Some of my favourite herbs for combating fatigue, stress, anxiety and low mood include: withania, magnolia, passiflora, reishi mushroom, rhodiola and rehmannia. I create individualised mixes for my patients based on their unique needs and I find they work within days. I love herbal medicine.

Something happens when you stop believing your own BS and instead turn that energy and focus onto believing in your own magnetism and worthiness.
The inner world changes, and then the outer world catches up.
I used to be scared of the word hustle, so creating a meaning around that word kept me safe from truly believing I could have what I wanted nor take the required steps to go towards what I desired for my business.
I thought hustle meant burnout so it gave me permission to find loads of reasons why I couldn't, but I never gave much time to why I could.
Then I literally ended up with adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism and messed up hormones,, so that gave me another reason to not move forward.
But I wasn't hustling, so how did I end up there?
I realised that those excuses had become more exhausting than the fear and the physical fatigue all together.
And that focusing on what was missing was stealing from what I already had.
So I changed the dialogue.
I flipped the switch on my thoughts and my habits.
I moved the dial on my focus and I gave myself permission to be acceptable where I was, where I am.
And that's when it all started to change.. The shifts are coming in rapidly and all becauseI am showing up to myself, for myself, to BE me now, in this moment without needing to change it or me.
I can see it rippling down to my clients, I can see them starting to GET IT even more than before, it's like an electrical current activating them through me.
It doesn't surprise me that this is happening even more potently since I started my 12-week Hormone & Adrenal Reset Program.
Saying yes to serve others in a bigger way has activated new parts of me, parts I knew where there but I kept at arms length.
It's magical, abundant and built on radical self-love and acceptance!
I can't wait to see what's coming in next, for me and for them!
Happy Monday beautiful people!
Share with me something magical that has been unfolding for you 💖✨
“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world."

New week ahoy! I’m working on so many things right now! It’s all GOOD but it’s also disrupting my normal habits, routine and the order in which I stack up my priorities. When I wake up and get to bed, when I need to eat and workout, how I plan time with friends and family had all changed. But instead of getting frustrated and thinking it’s all too much, I’m taking time to reflect on what happened and what can be shifted or planned better. ☝🏽 Reflecting back on the week I noticed I do indeed need to prep and plan all of my meals (with timers) again. 👏🏽 I did that for some time before but my schedule changed and it wasn’t needed anymore. I’m noticing that it’s definitely needed again. I had a number of meals I missed last week, my water wasn’t great which also effected my sleep and my energy. 👎🏽 All of those things are very important to my body. If I’m tired, I don’t get as much done as quickly or if I’m sacrificing sleep through the week, “catching up on sleep” on the weekend because I know I feel tired is still taking more time away from me. 😴 And catching up on sleep won’t make me 100% more energized if I’m still low on calorie intake or water, and catching up on all that food in one weekend is not going to be great health and fitness wise long term lol. 🐷🙈This is how these habits start for so many people and it’s just never addressed or seen as important enough to address. So my plans for the week include getting meals prepped from @saints_meal_prep (code Ash10 for 10% off btw 🎉) and planning out my meal and water timers around my day and STICKING to it. 🙌🏽 Find the points of pressure and make a plan to make changes and stick to them. Our lives change, it’s totally ok to set time aside to address them and see how to make things easier and better on us mentally and physically. What are your goals for the week?
