Who knew that deadlifting could be so much fun?
Imagine yourself, dear reader, holding a cool 620 pounds in your hands after standing up with it four times. The set was harder than anticipated and the last rep could have been reasonably described as “challenging.” After almost turning the color of the 55-pound plates, what do you do at the top of the pull?
Have a good chuckle.
Because, at the end of the day, there should be some enjoyment in these endeavors. Exercise need not be equated with suffering. As with so many things, our expectations and narratives inform our experiences. Approaching exercise with positive expectations can help both with adherence and outcomes. May you find your next training session to be something to smile about.

Here it is. My biggest personal project to date done @sprayseemo mural fest in Kansas City MO! I went through a lot with this piece, and worked nonstop to finish it on time. Faced many challenges and had a breakdown or 2, but it was all worth it. I don’t usually put too much of a narrative into my public mural works, but this time I put it all out there. This is a very personal piece about longing for connection, and feeling like it’s so far away when it might be just around the corner if only you’d look. I wanted to really use the corner setup to its full advantage, and tried so many things I’ve never done before. Thank you so much to @rifrafgiraffe and @amiayars for giving me this wall and this amazing opportunity, and being there for me through it all, making sure it was all ok.💖💖💖 you guys went above and beyond! Also huge thanks to @manoswine for letting me add art to your building, @cbdamerican for sponsoring this event and making it all happen, and to @kobrapaint for providing all the spraypaint and bright colors to make this wall come alive! Also crazy love to all the other amazing artists I met who inspire me so much, and to the volunteers who brought me cold coke and food daily, you guys were a critical part of me finishing this thing and not dying! I hope this is my first festival of many, but this one will always hold a special place in my heart. Till next year KC! ✌🏻💖🤩 (and if you look closely their shirts are repping for KC and CHI!!!)

I can’t help but love a classic white bouquet and a stunning bride! Been working on so many pretty bridal shoots the past few weeks and can’t wait for all the weddings to happen so I can share! #becomingburges .

Oh my goodness. The rustic fall goodness is almost too much to take. Just a few goodies heading to Not Too Shabby Boutique in Smithville tomorrow along with...wait for it...fresh bittersweet! Still have to get that all stripped, bundled and priced, but it's on my morning to-do list along with 100 other things. I can't function without my lists! Do you make lists or just wing it?

I love when I get to collaborate with the cake bakers to complete the look of the cake. Jessica chose the sweetest color scheme to go with her rustic cake, I just loved how it all came together!
Cheeseburgers are such an American staple! I love mine topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and plenty of pickles! With endless ways to make it your very own, I’d love to hear from you: Who makes the juiciest, most satisfying burger in Joplin? #NationalCheeseburgerDay
We partnered with our friends at @ibisbakery to make AVOCADO TOAST ICE CREAM! Creamy avocado base, sweet balsamic reduction drizzle and cubes of Ibis’ amazing sourdough. Only made a few batches, don’t miss it! 🥑🍞🍦
