Every change in our life is a challenge. On the one hand, it is dark as a storm in the sky and we are afraid of what it will bring us and whether it is worth it at all. 🤔 But on the other hand, it always opens something new, clearer and more beautiful on the horizon that we would never have known if we had not made that change. We never have anything to lose. In the end we always just gain something new. 💪
Working holiday in Canada is about a lot of these changes and that's why we are here! 👍 To gain new experience, knowledge and get to know new friends from different parts of the world. 😎
Oooohhh Canada. 😍♥️🇨🇦
Working holiday v Kanade je o spouste takovych zmen a prave proto jsme tady! 👍 Abychom ziskali nove zkusenosti, poznatky a nove pratele z ruznych casti sveta. 😎
Oooohhh Canada. 😍♥️🇨🇦
These ravens were 1). A lot bigger than I thought, and 2). Make the weirdest noise when not expecting it. Watching them pluck bugs off of the bumpers of vehicles in the parking lot of the Columbia Icefields center was also another neat thing.
I’m a little late to the posting party but....Banff 2k20 was so cool that I apparently needed some time process. What an amazing trip with a bunch of super rad people! By far the best part of the trip was jumping into some intentional and deep relationships with my friends. Seeing cool stuff was just bonus points. I’m grateful for how God brought us together and gave us a space to get real for a week.

Increased daylight encouraging me to dust off the camera and go for a bit of a post work evening gander. Winter's still in full effect but a coupla days without snow has me dreaming of summer hikes and beers in the sun!
Ok, so this image is obviously not fully real. I took the photo of #mtrundle near #banff , but then I used the amazing #luminar4 to replace the sky with a stock photo that I of course didn't take. What's amazing is how easy it was to edit this photo from its original to this fake version. I really like it, regardless.

I say that the world's ours, tell me you believe me.
The mystical Mistaya River at Mistaya Canyon, Wapituk Range in the background.
Honestly was not impressed with this stop off of the Icefields Parkway at first. Going back through my pictures and editing them made me realize how special this place really was. What I’d give to go back and see this place again...

Only part way up yesterday’s scramble and already the views are amazing! 😍
This past May I took a solo trip up to the Canadian Rockies. I spent some time at the @banffyogafestival and then got quality time in with one of my favorite humans, @practicewithlydia. I got to hike, climb, and do all the yoga. This particular day I went to morning yoga with Lydia, half trail ran and half scrambled to the summit of Rundle, and then got back in time for evening yoga with Lydia 😍. Then we drank red wine and sat up with @sonnietrotter talking life and climbing.
Canmore has always been a second home to me. We spent our summers in Canmore/Banff/Jasper as kids living out of tents and our Volkswagen van in between our backpacking trips into the back country. Andy and I had grand plans of hopping trains at 18 to live in the mountains because that seemed like the only logical choice. Life didn’t quite turn out that way.
I remember vividly driving down the dirt road from the trail head this day, playing the playlist I made for Andy’s funeral, windows down, tears streaming down my face. When I described it to my friend I said automatically out loud, “I felt like I had just spent a day with my brother.” That’s when I knew I had to write Hope Is A Choice. If you haven’t read it yet, click the link in my bio. It’s a story of life, love, cancer, grief, death, and is the first in many I will write.
Thank you to each of you for your outpouring of love and support. I love you all. 💖
