Yesterday, I had so much fun with @hellomishchief attending a class at @theworks.seattle We took a Vegan Rainbow 🌈 Fettuccini Class taught by @ashleyjstafford 🍝
We made FOUR different vegan dough...

PREPARATION: —-Take ridge gourd and cut out into small pieces. —-take a pan and dry roast mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, chana dal. Once they change the colour take them into a mixer jar. —-in the same pan add oil, then add garlic, green chillies, ridge gourd pieces. Add one after the other and allow them to fry. —-add salt and turmeric. Add fresh coriander, cover with a lid for about 8-10 minutes until the ridge gourd is soft and mushy.
—- take the mixture into a plate and allow it to cool. —- once it is to room temperature blend everything into a paste. —- take a pan and add oil for tadka. Roast mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, red dry chilli 🌶 and hing. —- take the blend mixture into a bowl, top it with tadka. —-the chutney is ready. —-serve with rice, dosa and ghee idly. -Please note that the salt and chillies can be added according to your taste preference. -Garlic is optional

A pretty interesting stall to find in Hong Lim hawker centre, starting from its name which we still quite understand.
It specialised in curry and prata puff. And the curry was as hot as its bright red colour suggested, delivering some kick-ass spiciness. In the pot enough to feed 2, there were thoroughly cooked potatoes and a large portion of chicken.
Besides the usual rice, their freshly baked prata puff was a satisfying pairing with the curry. Think roti prata but this was like a puffed up pastry, crispy and non-oily, great to soak up the thick and tasty curry.
From the curry, prata puff, presentation and stall name; Midas was a non-conventional stall amidst the other offering traditional local dishes, worth checking out.

Cuaca akhir-akhir ini puanasnyaaaa puolll bett yaaa...buat kalian yang tinggal di daerah mangga besar pasti ga asing sama es campur Ko Acia ini 😊 isinya ada kacang hijau, kacang merah, kolang kaling, agar-agar, buah longan, dawet, cincau item, dll lalu dikasi santan. Klo saya sih lebih suka tanpa santan yaa biar lebih sehat 😂😂 tapi kembali lagi ke selera masing-masing ✌Disini juga jual es kacang hijau, es kacang merah dll.
If u always shy away from middle eastern food, it’s time to check out @artichoke_sg that claims to serve the least authentic middle eastern food in SG (and they are proud of this fact 😎). Authentic or not it doesn’t matter cos everything is still as rockin’ good as I rmb back when it first started 9 years ago.
But the team is always enthusiastic to feed people with new dishes and thus the menu changes as fast as every few months (efficiency 💯) Take for instance the Crab Toast (2 for $16) that shouldn’t be mistaken as any other crab slider. And definitely not crap cos u’ve got that stellar housemade brioche, blue swimmer crab, Ikura and .... deep fried chicken skin
Next is the Sea Asparagus with Labneh and Crispy Buckwheat — probably only here where u can find this Israel veg as a main dish. Has a natural briny taste but balances with the yoghurt
3) Sugared Plums on Spinach with fried onions- if only all creamed spinach were prep like this
4) Hummus with Duck Breast and Brown Butter
5) Beetroot Hummus with housemade 3-nut Dukka — get both hummus with Turkish bread 😋😋😋
