It was a beautiful Sunday morning as I went out to the streets to capture a few photographs. This one scene in particular caught my attention. I saw two men sitting in their carts (thelas) and having a chat. Then this woman came by and walked past them. She probably knew these men considering they were working in the same vicinity. However, she didn't stop by to listen to their little chat, she didn't care. She walked on.
The most striking thing about women working in the unorganised sector is their confidence. They've probably seen the worst of times - from poverty to exploitation, from domestic abuse by alcoholic husbands to daily rebellions by unruly children. They fight it all every single day, and show up at work. Each day, toiling from sunrise to sunset, earning a livelihood with an aim to make life better and brighter. They walk tall despite countless forces of society trying to knock them down. These women stand out among a crowd of their male co-workers on account of their robust attitude. They fear nothing because they have seen it all, which is what makes them so fierce and unbeatable. #guwahati#streetsofindia#natgeodailyshot#natgeo#dailydozenchallenge#ig_mypca#canonindia#eos60d#indiapictures#aroundguwahati#gplus#hcsc_street#instagram#instashot#streets_of_assam#guwahatitimes

We were in Meghalaya when we met a solo girl who was in Sikkim a week back. She told us that roads to North Sikkim were closed due to excessive landslides and snowfall.
That came as an disappointment for us because the entire trip was planned around it. But in anycase, we decided to go forward with the plan and see as to how far we could go.
We reached Sikkim, everyone informed us the same thing and to make it worst, Sikkim had elections within two days.
Despite of all odds, we went to North Sikkim. Yes, we couldn't visit Gurudongmar lake and couldn't reach Yumthang valley but the journey was beautiful.
I can totally relate this scenario with life. Sometimes you can't achieve what you plan but the journey is beautiful and you learn a lot from it.
The road doesn't judge you! So true!! Just came across this #reasontoroad video from @khan.isa and it brings flashbacks of all the mischief done on my road trips. There were many Peek-a-boo moments with my friends which I could recall after watching this. Do check it out and share your reasons to hit the road, eager to hear it all !

Have always been thinking, what if the world was upside down. Now I know, what could it have been.

Yoga is just not for your physical health but for your mental health as well. If, it doesn't help you to calm down or makes you happy in yourself then you need to focus more on your breathing and to figure out the right way to increase your blood flow.
It is a practice of breathe-in positivity and breathe-our negativity. :)

I haven't been around snow much which is why when @highmountains.in called me to spend a few days at their @igloostay , I just couldn't resist.
And it was just so magical, everything that I hoped it to be.❤️

And the moment we reached this valley on our way to the first camp of our Brahmatal trek, I was blown away by the magical scenery in front of me. I have seen snow before but the soft and pristine snow which we saw here was something entirely else.
✨ Launching #aweeklynaturepic
Having great trust and hoping huge support on every one of you, I am creating this hashtag.
With busy things around us everyday, we forget/disrespect/ill-treat nature and it's elements. Let's join together to embrace, enjoy, remind the beauty of nature and it's elements by posting a picture every week. Let it be a bird, a flower, a pet, an insect, a sunset, a raindrop - take a picture and share it.
I'll feature it in my stories as often as possible and you too share the ones you liked tagged with this hashtag. The intention is to motivate and spread awareness about nature.
She is Veera of 'Highway'.
She is Heer of 'Rockstar'.
She is Bride of 'Kill Bill'.
She is Sam of 'the perks of being a wallflower'.
She is a fusion of contemporary and a Dhrupad Indian Classical music.
She has a class in society yet wild in mountains.
She knows sarcasm and spirituality both.
She is way beyond your league.
Even if you like her, you can't cage her.
She is not a girl anymore, she's a woman who carries fire in her heart.
Yet always melt with love. 😊
Have you heard of Matera in Italy?
The town was selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2019 for a very good reason.
Matera is a unique stone town, the world's third oldest city, so they say, and it's a perfect option for adventure travelers and those who love discovering off the beaten path places.
We visited the town in 2015, spend there 4 days, slept in a cave (hotel) and were lucky enough to be there the same day when they announced it the Capital of Culture! 🍾
