I once thought that cultivating my SPIRITUALITY would solve all my problems. I just had to become all loving, joyful and angelic and then whoosh! Life would be eternally wonderful.
Unfortunately it’s not this simple.
There’s certainly a strong appeal to escaping to an airier, more transcendent state. But what if we could expand our spiritual awareness without running away from the physical realities of this life and becoming ungrounded?
First up, what do we mean by ‘ungrounded’? It means that our awareness is focused outside of our physicality and our earth connection. We’re lost in thoughts, ideas, worries, creative inspiration, philosophical meanderings or spiritual devotion. We may even be giving a large chunk of our awareness to another person such as a family member friend, lover, teacher or even an author - giving our power and sense of self to them.
Being ungrounded creates scenarios where we’re not able to be fully present and healthily engaged with life. Here’s seven nasty side-effects:
✨We become accident prone, forgetful and vague
✨We’re not able to communicate effectively or consider other people’s needs
✨We make poor choices around money, caring for our health, substance use and who to trust
✨Our intuition becomes faulty because mental chatter interferes
✨We get carried away with newly formed beliefs, business schemes and creative projects and fail to take practical matters into consideration
✨We distance ourselves from anyone who doesn’t support our world view
✨The general feel of life becomes stressful and frustrating and we become disconnected from the people we love
So that’s the downside of being ungrounded. Go to the blog for some suggestions for how you might strike the right balance between inspired and functional…

Years of working to overcome my social anxiety of attempting to contribute to a conversation where I either would get interrupted, ignored, or actively not included - on this day, I found myself part of a conversation where I felt I belonged.
I sat with people who shared my deep affection for intellectual conversations. I was seen. I was heard. My mind was intellectually stimulated. My soul and heart uplifted.
I loved this moment - so much so, I had to take a picture from where I sat.
Not much can compare to a beautiful conversation with beautiful minds on a beautiful sunny day.
It’s tough to say but my two years at @liquidlibrary is up... To say I’m devastated would be an understatement! I personally believe that it is one of the greatest and most diverse portfolios in Western Australia... To wake up every day knowing the quality of the product I was selling was one of the best you could find was a dream but like all dreams, eventually they come to end... The 13th of March will be my last day with Liquid Library, which means you have two weeks left to get the good oil through me... So if you’ve been kicking around the idea of getting some of the good booze for your wine list, store or just personal collection... Please don’t hesitate to hit me up and I’ll do what I can in the remaining couple of weeks!
What’s next in store for me? For the first I’m in my life, I genuinely don’t know... But if the past is anything to go by I’m sure it’s going to be pretty amazing!
Thank you to all of you who have helped make the last two years so memorable... I really appreciate it and I’ll always cherish the great moments. @stinky_zappa@sophiamwarner

In my numerology chart, last year was a 9 year. The end of a 9 year cycle -- and 2020, well, this is a 1 year for me. By October it is said that everything that is around by then will be with me for the next 9 years.
So far, I have purged deeeeeeep rooted trauma, I have felt clarity, confusion, passion, excitement, fear, lonliness, support, joy and an overwhelming sense of knowing that I am in exactly the right place.
These emotional releases are taking me higher and lower than I thought were possible, and I am FILLED with gratitude.
Recognising that each individual event has been leading me to this moment, to lead with a full heart, with a deep love for life and this earth, and a knowing of what it feels like when we get pulled under.
I don't even have words for this feeling, but whether you resist it or not -- this energy is asking you to take stock. If you are being pulled under, take a look at what is and isn't working. If you are on a high, take a look at what you are doing right -- and keep doing more of it.
This is a time for us to move with consciousness, with love and with joy. With that energy we can reconnect with our innate nature, which is not seperate from the nature you see in this photo.
It is time for us to step into the truth of who we are. With love, joy and compassion.
I am so humbled (and exhausted) by the process. Today and always. We move forward.

My daddy...he was teasing my brothers signature pose at the time... He was so confident in who he was, knew that he was mostly an asshole, but willing to change himself and the world for his little girl 🙋🏻♀️ (fine I’m sure for my brother and mom as well). My dad went from being a terrorist remembered for his cruel temper and breaking everything in sight...to being the calmest, caring and most accepting and understanding person in the world.
His transition wasn’t easy, I saw a grown man cry, but he was ready to lay down his armor of shame and pain, so that he could be better for the people he loved.
It’s so raw! How can I share this?! Because that’s what made him my hero, he didn’t hide who he was, he took his accountability and turned it into responsibility and he lived for something other than himself!
To the end, he took care of everyone, people who used him, those who hurt him, even the ones who betrayed him...not underneath his nose, he wasn’t stupid, but he believed in unlimited chances...he always told me “babe, I can’t stop believing in someone, when God and your mother never gave up on me, and I deserved to be given up on”. I don’t know why I remember him this way today, maybe because he was so ridiculously silly and funny, but he literally turned his life around, and I was fortunate enough to witness it! His life lessons to me were always so abstract and witty, maybe that’s why I held onto them, he learned my language so that he could pass on, not a legacy, but hopefully a new beginning. #daddy#daddysgirl#memories#princess#mydaddytoldmeso#history#family#friday#happiness#mentalhealthawareness#healthymind#newbeginnings#hero#father#fatherdaughter#responsibility#accountability#change#flow#feels#lucky#always#grateful#sarcasm#witty

Oh boy - and I have 3 of them - it is challenging! And it is so wonderfully rewarding too. It’s so many things at the same time.
Where are my boundaries, what are theirs? Where does my space end and where does theirs begin. Where do we overlap? How can I be more present with them while paying attention to my needs?
The answers are ever changing with every child and every age.
Motherhood is a journey of self discovery 🤪😬🤗
Okay. This one is a big one, and a message I believe very, very strongly. We accept the love we think we deserve. Read that again. What love do you feel like you deserve? Have you been selling yourself short because you don’t feel that you’re worthy of more? Have you been accepting things that make you feel terrible because that’s all you ‘deserve’?!? ❣️
I heard this phrase long before I ever understood manifesting or the power of our beliefs. I just watched so many of my friends and loved ones get into the wrong relationships, or be afraid to leave ones that were no longer working, because they didn’t believe they deserved any better. All the while, I was perpetually single because I couldn’t find someone who ticked all my boxes - but I was told I was too picky, my standards were too high. ❣️
Fast forward many years later, and I have actually had to part ways with friends because they picked partners that were so below what they deserved, and I couldn’t stand to be around it. Meanwhile, I found a husband who ticks all the boxes for me, who is even more than I ever could have imagined!! (See my ‘Love’ highlight for more!) ❣️
The point I’m trying to make is - we are responsible for the standard we set, in ALL relationships in our life. And we will only allow ourselves to accept love if we think we deserve it. So let’s allow ourselves to work on ACCEPTANCE, of ourselves, of love, of the life and relationships we want. Because we do deserve it. We deserve all of it, and so much more. What kind of love do you think you deserve? ❣️

My children, our love should not be only words and talk. No, our love must be real. We must show our love by the things we do. 1 John 3:18
Haven’t you heard Talk is cheap? Well, yes LOVE is an action word....Your true love is shown by the way you treat and speak to others, your attention to detail and your presentation! #spokenwordmotivation
Salak is a species of palm tree native to Java and Sumatra in Indonesia. It is cultivated in other regions of Indonesia as a food crop, and reportedly naturalized in Bali, Lombok, Timor, Maluku, and Sulawesi.
The taste is usually sweet and acidic, with a strong astringent edge, but its apple-like texture can vary from very dry and crumbly (salak pondoh from Yogyakarta) to moist and crunchy (salak Bali)
It is known to be a remedy for a number of disorders. The key nutrients in the salak fruit include iron, phosphorous, calcium, fats, carbohydrates, vitamin B, and vitamin C. Salak contains at least five times more beta-carotene than that contained in most fruits. Beta-carotene is a superior antioxidant
Salak fruit consists of protein, beta-carotene, dietary fiber, calcium, phosphorus and carbohydrates which are great for overall health. The beta-carotene in Salak is a powerful antioxidant and works well to prevent cardiovascular disease, strokes and even cancer

Have you ever seen the movie "Sliding Doors"? A woman is leaving her house in the morning to go to work, like every day. Everything seems normal till she arrived at work and had to learn that she is fired.
On her way home she had to take the underground train and from there the movie develops two different story lines... I don't want to spoil the whole movie for you, just in case you would like to watch it one day.
But I really did like the story.
It is about change,
about new beginnings that feel like terrible endings at first.
It is about gaining, when you think you lose.
It is about chances, opportunities and possibilities
and that you cannot ever be certain in life.
Life is change. And the best gifts of life can hide in the darkest of times.
When everything looked like she lost it all, she took her time for grieving her loss.
But as time went on she began to explore herself and discovered new possibilites, that made her life worth living again.
Everything was uncertain and in the open.
As she began to accept, she began to take back control.
She created her life aligned with herself, gaining so much more out of her loss, than she ever could have imagined before.
Her seasons changed, her winter ended and spring grew flowers and light.

Sit in quiet with yourself to start the day and name one thing that you’re grateful for in your life. Awareness of what you have is key to shifting you’re mood and mindset, and it may be the most transformational practice of your life. 🤎
Forgiveness is for you not the other person.
When you forgive, you set yourself free from the pain and suffering the other person has caused you. It never means forget what they did and become friends again. Unless that is something that benefits your health and wellness, and they have truly made deep amends and have changed their behavior.
It's your choice and often it means move on.
Remember you can never change the behavior of another person, so don’t even try. Change your response by not inviting them into your circle of life. 💛
We’re in this life to learn from every experience we have and then use the teachings to grow, evolve, and become the greatest version of who we are.
When we know better we can do better. We are. It perfect and never will be so this must be the way we live beautiful ones. 🖤

You take on the behaviors of the people you spend the most time with beautiful friends.
You have a choice where and with whom you will spend your precious energy so make sure you choose people who support your life dreams completely, love you unconditionally, and laugh with you often.
You deserve to be celebrated and appreciated. 🧡

Do you agree? Sometimes, them leaving is a blessing in disguise. I'm thankful for my ex leaving me when he did. He made me better woman for MYSELF first and then for someone else. I've been blessed time and time again ever since.
