Well, not a.lot of days are left before the countdown begins, but it is never to late to start. No?
Here are some few simple tricks to look in shape before the party season hits:
1. Please don't do any juice cleanses, not going to work, especially fruit juice cleanse.👎
2. Give all the toxic food in your life a miss for a while like alcohol (empty calories) and coffee (limit to one if not 0). Save it for the party hours.
3. Add judicious amounts of fat and protein in your diet. Think avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, ghee.
4. Ditch carb in one meal of the day, could be any. .
5. Add beats and leafy greens as smoothies as meal replacer once in 3 days. Ask me for recipes, if you plan on doing this. I have yummy ones. .
6. Keep off sugary treats, cola, candies, and unnecessary avoidable junk. .
7. Walk more and try to hit 8,000 steps atleast. .

I love posts like this BUT, let’s be real for a moment. Start with one. Drop one and when you’re really good at living without that one, drop another. One of the reasons personal development is so hard is because we try to make overnight transformation and we just are not wired to work like that. Baby steps are far more effective and lasting.
If you think about it...people are just plants with complicated emotions 🌿Just like your favourite plant buddies, you have your own unique requirements to grow and prosper 👐🏽 One of the keys to living well and happily is being honest with your ever changing needs, identifying them, and then filling those needs to make growth possible. And just like plants... your needs are unique. Don’t feel bad because you need different conditions for prosperity! ✨
Maybe 9-5 is your jam because it gives you clean boundaries between work and social life 💃 , maybe you’re a creative thinker 🖼 and need a more flexible schedule to do your best work , maybe you NEED to have early morning workouts 🏃🏻♀️to jumpstart your day, maybe you’re a sloth baby (like me) and need a few hours in bed 🛌 with all dressed chips within reach to ease into waking up 🤣
Whatever it is that you need to feel like your best self, I urge you to take some time to think and FEEL it out and write it down✍️. Be TOTALLY honest. My therapist used to say “if I could wave a magic wand, what would your best life look like?” What would make you feel fulfilled and truly happy? 🥰 Be deeply honest - you already know the answer! Once those needs are written down, make a commitment to fulfilling those needs in ways big and small. Sometimes just KNOWING that you’re moving toward your true needs is enough to give you a boost 🙌🏼
