Way back when while I was deciding a career path I always loved hotel management and was 100% sure this is where my future would be. After I graduated high school I was kinda stuck with what my future would look like. I ended up doing the victory lap or as some like to also call it "Grade 12-B". This ended up being one of the best decisions I have ever made as I ended up choosing Television and Film as a career which helped lead me to where I am now.

Ohhhhhhhh man. This session 😍 Alyssa & Neil needed a few photos for Christmas and I needed a couple who was game to let me try out some new stuff. It was kind of the perfect coincidence that it came together and DID IT EVER. Doing a session that was completely "for me" creatively was super satisfying and was super beneficial for just about every aspect of Hush Hush. And spending an evening with these two?! Worth the price of admission alone! They are such genuinely sweet couple and their comfort with each other made photographing them a breeze. I could post every photo from this session hahaha. A funny thing happened this morning! I am working on compiling images for an exciting serious upgrade coming in 2020 and I noticed my face was wet. Yep at 7:30am I found myself uploading images to a gallery with a tear soaked face!
But Megan, why were you crying? Surely your images aren't sad!
Of course not! It just struck me how incredibly lucky I am and how grateful I feel to not only get to do what I do but to do what I do with so many fantastic people! Seriously being able to step into someones life for big and small moments is such an honour!
My emotional connection is so strong to the images that I cannot imagine what it's like for my clients! (Well I guess I can! I feel serious emotions when I look at our wedding pictures, much love to @christine_w_photography )
I recall the nerves and the love and the laughter. I remember the words of regret from parents who wish they had more family photos but life being... well life, tends to get in the way and kids being... well kids, don't always care what mom and dad want!
