At this particular moment in China, the best thing to do is to stop moving and stay at home. I set my camera on a rooftop and pointed it at the moon. After sunset, I finally waited for a plane to fly past the moon in the direction of Venus. I believe it will not take too long, this outbreak will be fully controlled, I wish everyone good health.
Clouds paint the sky during a six minute exposure, photographed with my @nikonusa D5 and Nikkor 14-24mm lens using a 15 stop neutral density filter. There is something very peaceful about watching and photographing clouds. The long exposure creates a mirror perfect reflection on the water, and illustrates the motion of clouds over time. Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🖤
Short-eared Owl hunting the fields in New York (December 07, 2019) - Video taken with my Nikon D500 and Sigma 150-600mm (C) lens on a tripod *I slowed down the video to 45% of the original speed to show the Owl a little better.
Most star trail photographers look for the North Star (at least while in the northern hemisphere) to get those beautiful concentric circles. But I also like facing south as you can also capture the “clouds” of the Milky Way. What do you thibk? Do you have a preference for a particular pattern of the star trails? This photograph was captured at Cathedral valley @capitolreefnps during my #artistinresidence program last year. I miss the park but soon, clouds permitting, will be out there shooting the stars. ============================

I usually like to look up interesting facts about the birds/animals I post however, this bird migrates, and sits in trees eating budworms. Not very intriguing. Then I found this.... “The male Bay-breasted Warbler is unmistakable in spring but goes through a striking transformation in fall, becoming a greenish "confusing fall warbler." Confusing fall warbler 🤔 -
The dead tree forest in Patagonia was one of the most interesting and stunning places I’ve ever seen. The wind was crazy here, the rain was coming in sideways, it snowed, and there was even some sunshine. In all of that chaos I was able to line up this gnarly curved tree with The Cuernos in the background, just as the clouds broke up enough to reveal them for a few moments. This photo was inspired by a shot taken by @heatonthomas a few years ago, who I had the privilege of having him stand next me while taking this shot. #landscapephotography#tree_magic
